Best pizza I've had

Delivery is super quick , the dough makes amazing pizzas.

Excellent

Great product and delivery was right on time.
Makes great pizzas.
They also have great youtube videos for helping with how to use the pizza dough correctly!

Possibly one of the worst companies…

Possibly one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

I placed an order 10 days ago. 3 days later I eventually received an email saying it had shipped and was with the courier. 2 days later, I contacted the company to inform them that it hadn't arrived and the tracking showed that the courier hadn't received the package. I was assured that it was still out for delivery and I would receive it soon - at this point, if it had turned up, it would have meant a minimum of 3 days after perishable items had been shipped.

After still not receiving the package 8 days after originally placing the order I told them that I wanted a replacement to be sent out. A day later, I finally got a response from Steph who said that they would resend the package. After another day and a half, this has yet to be actioned.

I called the company to speak to them about this and received a stream of abuse from the person who answered the call. No doubt this will be denied by the company, however they state that they record all calls, so I invite them to paste a transcript of the call here as a response.

Needless to say I will not be ordering from this company again. Lots of other competitors out there who actually value their customers.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to sincerely apologise for the frustration caused by the delay in your order and the subsequent communication.

Regarding our phone conversation, we are sorry if our tone came across as anything other than professional. However, we feel it is important to provide some context. As we explained during the call, we are a very small, dedicated team. We have been working late into the evenings and throughout the weekends, going above and beyond to get orders out to our customers.

When things don’t go perfectly with our courier partners, it is incredibly stressful for us. As we mentioned to you, "we are not Amazon." Every phone call and email we receive to check on a small delay—while completely understandable from a customer’s perspective—actually holds us back from the physical work of packing and shipping the dough.

The "candidness" you experienced on the phone was a result of that built-up pressure. We are human, and we were simply trying to express that we are working as hard as we possibly can to resolve issues. We have let you down on this occasion, and for that, we are truly sorry.

We ask for a little patience as we navigate these busy periods. Your replacement is being handled, and we hope that once it arrives, the quality of the product reflects the hard work we put into every batch.

Very disappointing.

Thought I would give this company a try rather than my regular, but it was to be a great disappointment, placed an order on Monday 11th May to the value of £43, which offered free delivery, upon processing the order it’s stated that the standard delivery date will be the 13th May, which I was quite happy with, so upon place in the order to my surprise in the order confirmation it’s dated due to what they say is a high level of orders, it will take 2 to 3 days to process my order for delivery, which is somewhat disappointing that I did not stay this prior to me placing my order, so I contacted them to question this, I confirmed there is a backlog of orders, I did try to compromise by stating well, I really need this before Friday 15th May which gave them an extra couple of days, I was then with a reply well if you want to cancel just let us know, I did respond by stating that as a new customer I do find this disappointing, and suggested to avoid Other disappointments from other customers to make them aware that you will not be able to fulfil the delivery date stated, this will also avoid a negative review such as this, to my surprise this morning Tuesday 12th May they had cancelled my order and returned my payment.

Will not be using this company in the future, very poor unprofessional company.

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry that your first experience with us resulted in such disappointment, as this was certainly not our intention.

As a small business, we strive to be as transparent as possible. While our website provides standard estimates, we did experience a slight 1-2 day backlog. We believe in being proactive, which is why we reached out immediately after your order to set realistic expectations rather than letting the 13th May pass without communication.

Regarding the cancellation, we sincerely apologise if the offer felt dismissive. Because you mentioned needing the order specifically by Friday the 15th, and we couldn't 100% guarantee the courier would meet that window due to the processing delay, we took the decision to cancel and refund you immediately. We did this to ensure you weren't left out of pocket and could make alternative arrangements for your Friday plans, rather than risking a late delivery.

We understand we aren't quite at the scale of a giant like Amazon just yet, but we are a passionate team trying to do right by our customers through honest communication. We appreciate your suggestions on how we can improve our pre-checkout messaging and will certainly take them on board.

Dreadful experience no product!

I tried to place an order with this company for around £50 worth of goods. Some were subscription. Shortly after placing I received an email explaining there was a backlog and some delays. I thought this was good as it set expectations realistically. I then however tried to check subscription elements. The button to do this on the site did nothing and there was no way to check. I emailed for support to ask how I could check and explained that I don’t like having a subscription that I can’t access, if this was the case please cancel subscription. The response was almost immediate and said they’d cancel. Next thing I received is an email to say whole order is cancelled. On asking for an immediate refund I was told this could take up to 5 days due to my bank (I’ve had immediate refunds before). I am now out of pocket, no goods and no refund as yet. Their verified discount code did not work before ordering either. Perhaps it is bad luck but this seems all about getting money and no interest in customer. Seemed rather dubious in entirety

To address your concerns:

Subscription Access: We apologise that the subscription button was unresponsive. While we use Shopify-recommended apps for these features rather than building them ourselves, we have raised this issue with the app provider to ensure it is fixed.

Order Cancellation: We offer our sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding regarding your request. It appears there was a breakdown in communication, and your entire order was cancelled rather than just the subscription element. This was a genuine error made in an effort to respond to your request quickly, and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Refunds & Discount Codes: Regarding the refund, payments are processed securely through Shopify and Stripe. Once we trigger a refund, the timeline is handled by the payment processors and banks; we have no manual control over this, which is why we advise it can take up to 5 working days. Regarding the discount code, we would have been more than happy to apply this manually had we known it wasn't registering at checkout.

Having used other companies and not having much success i was dubious to order, but i am so glad I did. Great price, fast delivery and the pizzas were unbelievable. Best i have had in my pizza oven. Great product

This doesn't sound right. We did have a short delay, but caught up by last weekend. This either sounds like a processing error or the courier has lost your order.

What you've described sounds like you have suffered from "spring back", which usually happens if the dough hasn’t rested long enough to reach room temperature, or if it was balled up again after resting. Both things tighten the gluten, making it difficult to stretch into a full-sized pizza.

They sent me the wrong package

They sent me the wrong package, I had ordered gluten free pizza and they sent me 12 normal & when I contacted them they said they had no record of my order. Would not recommend at all!!!

Re-froze them but very wet and sticky,impossible to work with.
Produces small pizzas with bad crust and structure

We're sorry to hear of your experience. As detailed on our website and in the user guide, dough balls will arrive defrosted and chilled and can be frozen.

The stickiness you mentioned is actually intentional; we use a high hydration level because it’s the only way to achieve a proper restaurant-quality crust at home. While it feels different to handle, it is easily managed with a light dusting of flour.

Regarding the size and structure, that "spring back" usually happens if the dough hasn’t rested long enough to reach room temperature, or if it was balled up again after resting. Both things tighten the gluten, making it difficult to stretch into a full-sized pizza.

Bad Experience

Had multiple emails confirming delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday after bank holiday. Dough was delivered on Saturday so was left unrefrigerated for 5 days and not safe to eat. Have contacted them on a number of occasions but no response to my complaint Order number 172715

Hidden gem for the dough strugglers

Due to my job, I’m very fortunate to call in and collect my doughballs, I have an approx 1 month “window” to prepare for my next collection, called in today and wow just wow! 4 pallets approx 5 ft high awaiting collection for delivery, the “BOSS” on the shop floor assisting with packaging too. I read many negative reviews last night to my disappointment, mostly out of his hands but ey o! Always offers a refund for any mistakes but never any acknowledgment afterwards, why?
24 plus an extra 2 for my OCD, sourdough’s collected today, 4th visit because they are top quality and many more to come, thank you.

I very rarely ever give any reviews never mind bad ones.
BUT in this case I had to speak up!
Ordered £70+ of products wed night, order accepted this morning. Website states orders place th will arrive fr/sat!
I appreciate I live in Northern Ireland so happy with sat.
A week later 7days! I am told I missed my delivery I wasn’t advised of(don’t blame GBOF)
Product was actually damaged as above
The good bit is Aimee was super quick to respond to every email👍👍👍
I requested a refund, and was escalated to the special department, nothing at all for the whole day!!
Sent a further email/ nothing!
Next day received an email very early in the morning from THE FOUNDER🤩
Prefer was sent th and would arrive fr only 8 days after the original order was due.
Again reiterated that a refund was requested not a replacement!
Fr no dough, sat still no dough🥲
Another email FOUNDER states refund within 5 days, layer generic email says refund in 10 days! It was quicker than stated👍
Sorry this is a time but to sum up avoid like the plague a thoroughly dissatisfying, disappointing experience I made my own dough and it was great!
Please do what you do but at your own risk!

Regarding the refund, as your request came in over the Bank Holiday weekend, our accounts department was closed. We actioned the payment as soon as we were back at our desks, and we're glad it landed with you sooner than the generic system notification suggested.

Shipping fresh dough to Northern Ireland can occasionally throw up logistical hurdles with the couriers that are outside of our direct control, but we take full ownership of the communication around it. We're sorry that the timing didn't work out for you on this occasion, but we're glad to hear you managed to get some quality pizza made in the end!
