Guy's and St Thomas' Avis 

No matter what department you ring it takes forever for anyone to answer the phone.
I have complained twice to PALS about the transport line. I have to book treatment once a week and am on hold for over an hour sometimes! This fact has made me think about transferring my care back to KINGS.
Also the mychart app is a nightmare. Yes you can see your appointments but often it is at the last minute!
No one calls to explain what the appointment is about. Ridiculous system.

Been on the phone FOREVER...nobody picks up. Trying to cancel an appointment to make another. I will now be classed as a 'no show' and lose my appointment altogether. Shocking...everywhere the same...nobody likes the telephone anymore...no communication unless you are on an e.mail....terrible....

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Dr Georgina and nurse Silk from the A&E at St Thomas hospital for their amazing service and care on treating my father Henrique Rocha on the night of Friday 16/06.

I was at a and e st thomas hospital
yesterday I was told I needed a mri but I knew that was impossible as they have tried 3 times before and I freaked out, I was ask to please try again so I was wheeled up there and meet the greatest bunch of mri staff I have ever come across,super friendly, funny and caring they totally put my mind at ease, made me laugh and one guy even stayed with me, even though I was still a mess I actually had the mri done, it was a huge thing for me and if ever I had to have one again I would ask for this department, you went above and beyond guys I can't thank you enough, what is a everyday thing for you meant the world to me thank you.

I would say my treatment and experience at St Thomas's Eye Dept where I was treated by Ms Sancy Low - Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon on the 21st of February 2023 was exceptional, professional, caring, and informative. I could not have had better treatment. I consider myself very fortunate to have been referred to her.

Fetal Medicine unit/ Ultrasound unit absolutely shocking! Telephone service is ridiculous over hours on the phone to get cut off literally impossible to get through to over the phone. When you arrive all staff incredibly rude! I’ve had this on multiple occasions. EarPods in, I’ve never seen a service like it. Actual Dr, Consultants lovely. Really put the department down!

Appalling. Asked almost a year ago to be transferred as hospital cannot offer the treatment I need . A year later, still not done. So I suffer and my health gets worse . The NHS is funded by Taxes etc of which I pay .No word from Complaints team or CEO. Would not recommend the management at any level.

Christine Hinchliff, Ben and other staff over in A&E terribly over the top. Overworked and extremely exhausted. Been here with other patients. No queues yet felt that service was terribly slow. Out of three toilets, two of those out order, considering that under COVID19 hygiene is paramount. One of these blocked up. Somehow cleaning services out of sight. Please review your services. Security where called to evict, very very professional and patient top marks .very disappointed with first responders on duty.

I expressed how I have been suffering alone with very frightening neurological/immunological symptoms but was mocked/dismissed by Guy's and St Thomas' A&E department. This is undeniably because I have a psychiatric history (symptoms which I know how are probably neuro-psychiatric).

I have been very isolated with my life at a standstill for years because I got so ground down by years of discrimination I faced trying to get help.

I strongly suspect brain inflammation at this point, alongside stomach damage and other issues.

I am waiting until December for a neurological appointment elsewhere but am so frightened by my regular loss of brain function and mobility that largely seems to be linked to food intake -- severe immune/allergy reactions. I also have an eating disorder, so having to restrict my diet down to about 5 foods so that I don't get all these symptoms, without any support or guidance, is even more problematic.

I initally spoke to a nurse who agreed to let me see an on-site doctor but wrote "headaches" as my reported complaint on the form I had to hand over to the Dr. I guess they thought that was funny.

I did speak with a well-meaning registar there at one point but I was still essentially dismissed by her and 100 per cent spoken at, rather than to, about what was wrong with me.

At this point I only regain enough cognitive function and energy to even write something (like this review, for instance) about 1 or 2 days in a week.

I don't really know what to eat that doesn't shut my brain and body down and can't do much day after day but sit and pray that someone helps me.

Telephone service is a disgrace confusing staff they don't what service what for hospital it's joke

I felt compelled to write a review of St Thomas Eye department as I have nothing but praise for them. I have been a patient of the eye department for forty years as I have multiple eye conditions. I have been seen regularly by the cornea, retina and glaucoma clinics during this time and have had excellent care in all of them. I have also had several operations again very successfully and felt well cared for. I cannot speak for other departments but having visited other hospital eye departments over the years I rush back to St Thomas in a flash and always have a sense of calm and confidence when. I enter the main doors knowing I will be well taken care of.

I asked for help from a black lady at reception and she was very rude I also had to wait a long time
