Waste of time applied for the…

Waste of time applied for the government grant to be told my household does not meet their requirements, even though it clearly states on their website that qualifying benefits and a old aging boiler that is over the age of 16 years old that does not work and left a venerable household with a 9 month old and 2 over 60s who are vulnerable and with many health conditions with out the appropriate boiler and heating system. Even though on their website it clearly states qualifying benefits and those with children and the elderly who are over the age of 60 with government funding but No just more lies and misinformation. They should definitely change what they have put on their website as it is misleading

We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the outcome of your application.

The ECO4 scheme is a government-funded scheme with strict eligibility criteria that all installers must follow. While qualifying benefits and household circumstances are important, the property and existing heating system must also meet the scheme's technical requirements.

Although older boilers qualify for replacement in the vast majority of successful ECO4 applications, this is not a guarantee in every case. Eligibility is assessed against the full scheme criteria, not on the age of the boiler alone. Our website explains the general eligibility requirements but does not state that every applicant, or every older boiler, will automatically qualify for a free replacement.

In your case, your property already has a Worcester Greenstar condensing boiler. Under the ECO4 scheme rules, a condensing boiler cannot normally be replaced with another condensing boiler, as doing so would not provide the energy efficiency improvement required by the scheme. This is a government funding rule that applies to all ECO4 installers, not just our company.

We genuinely sympathise with your family's circumstances and understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we cannot approve work that falls outside the scheme rules. We will, however, review the wording on our website to ensure the eligibility criteria are as clear as possible for future applicants.

Had the survey completed

Had the survey completed, no contact from them, upon chasing they made a lame excuse about my 83 year old elderly mother.
Therefore I have had no other option but to pay someone else £3700 funded by myself to ensure my Mum has hot water and heating.
Shocking!

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how stressful this must have been, especially with your elderly mother needing reliable heating and hot water.

As this work is carried out under a funded scheme, we are required to meet strict eligibility and financial viability criteria before a fully funded installation can proceed. In the vast majority of cases, customers receive the work completely free of charge. However, in some instances where the funding does not cover the full cost, a small customer contribution is required to make the project financially viable.

In your case, we discussed the possibility of a contribution. Before we were able to reach an agreement, you chose to arrange the work independently and paid the full cost yourself.

We genuinely regret that we couldn't achieve a better outcome and would still welcome the opportunity to discuss your case further if you're willing to speak with us.

Put the wrong size boiler in so been condemned by BG and the manufacturer this date is last contact with proximus

Shocking not sure if these where originally called Heatzen this is the name they used when they recently rang Heatzen is who originally installed our boiler but they installed a boiler to big for the cupboard blamed me saying I asked for the boiler but im not the engineer if it doesn’t fit then they should have said it couldn’t be installed now they want me to cut out my cupboards plinth so it would be able to be serviced. I said no and they left it there saying they would come back to me but they have vanished off my WhatsApp, getting on 2yrs the manufacture said they have put on the system that tge warranty with them is void and I took a payment plan out with British Gas and they put warnings on it so who is bringing these people to account for what they do to people it’s a disgrace. Maybe I should get the boiler replaced snd tgen gp through small claims and they do the government grant ones do maybe if anyone knows someone in the DWP who pay these cowboys ask them to take them off the list, there should be some system to make sure these people don't keep ripping people off but they should never be able to claim the grant money or anyone’s money until customers are happy.

We are sorry to hear you remain unhappy with your experience.

We would like to clarify that this installation was completed some time ago, and when concerns were raised, we did not ignore them. We arranged for an engineer to attend and review the situation, and we also discussed multiple possible solutions with you, including options around the cupboard and relocating the boiler. At the time, we also made it clear that we were willing to cover the cost of an agreed solution so the matter could be resolved.

Unfortunately, the available options required either cupboard alterations or relocation work, and we understand these options were not suitable for you at the time. As a result, the matter was not able to move forward.

We also need to clarify that our workmanship warranty period is 2 years, and this matter is now being raised again after a significant amount of time. However, we still take all concerns seriously and remain willing to review the case and discuss what reasonable support may still be possible.

We are sorry that you feel let down, but we do not agree that we vanished or refused to help. Our previous communication shows that we offered solutions and asked for your agreement on how you wished to proceed.

Please contact us directly so we can review the full history of the case and advise on the next steps.

Provides false information that ECO4…

Provides false information that ECO4 grant is only for old non-combi boiler. When questioned the salesman started shouting at me. Could be rogue traders in the industry.

Both Jimmy and Billy were fabulous, total professionals. Had an issue on Friday which was fixed and meant they didn’t finish until about 8.30pm, Jimmy knew all the technical stuff and was a very quick worker whilst Billy was a superb labourer. I’d highly recommend these lads to anyone.

These guys are very professional and hard workers.
I was explained exactly what will be done and how long it will take.
Any mess was cleared.
Can’t fault them at ALL. Would definitely recommend them.

Install completed in one day

Jimmy came and installed our system plus 9 radiators single handedly. We so appreciated his hard work in getting us up and running in a single day. Unfortunately, there are a few issues but these were mostly due to original surveyor not picking up on things which meant correct fittings/parts not being available and a new radiator to replace leaking rad in back room being undersized (having been replaced with a smaller, single-panelled radiator). Also, the non-working radiator in hallway did not get replaced so hallway still is cold. Pipes for boiler installed behind dishwasher rather than directly below boiler which means our dishwasher no longer fits under countertop. We were also left without a working bathroom and a couple of small leaks, however, we know a plumber so should be able to get this fixed in a few weeks when he becomes available (using a bucket to flush toilet in meantime). Our installer could have used a helper but the company had laid everyone off prior to our install, which meant a stressful and long day for Jimmy. Thankfully, my husband was able to help carry some of the heavier radiators and old cast iron boiler, but this could have been an issue for someone elderly or infirm. Cozyfy (also known as Heatzen and Proximus) did come back after install to take photos of outside of house and retake internal ceiling sizes as apparently surveyor hadn’t taken them correctly during original appointment and they could not claim grant without proper measurements. We allowed them back on the condition that the hall radiator would be fixed as house is now colder with new boiler than it was previously. They promised to have that resolved but we’ve heard nothing back since.

We were misled regarding the guarantee.,

The guys who came to fit the insulation and boiler could not have been more professional, pleasant and experienced. However we were misled by both Heatzen and the installer and told that we would have a 10 year Guarantee for our Worcester Bosch boiler. As it was fitted by an accredited installer why was this reduced to 2 years. This gives us added stress going forward when the installation of a new boiler was to alleviate this as we are in our 80’s and not in great health. This is very disappointing.
