Hele Bay Adventures Avis 

We booked a guided Kayak Tour for 2 hours. It was the highlight of our holiday! Dan was so great throughout, he was so informative and told us lots about the local wildlife along the way. Because of the change in the weather we did have to cut it slightly short but Dan gave us the opportunity to come back for another trip. It was such good value for money and we will definitely be booking again on our next trip without a doubt!

We decided to hire a 2 person Kayak for 2 hours at Hele Bay and it was an absolutely brilliant experience! We paddled along the coast line and stopped off at a little beach which was only accessible from the water. Fantastic views of the coastline and the water was calm making the kayak easy to handle. Highly recommend Hele Bay Adventures, great location and a friendly chap who runs it!

We had an incredible day out with Simon coasteering!
Never tried it before, but, it was simply brilliant.
There were 4 people in our group, under the calm/watchful eye of Simon. He allowed us to try jumping off various levels of rocks / cliffs. Absolutely NO PRESSURE whatsoever. This made it an incredibly enjoyable experience for all of us. Teenage lad, with mum & dad and another chap on the experience with us.
We saw some beautiful bays and incredible views. Can not thank Simon enough. 5stars 👏👏👏👏

Dan took time to understand my ability level and provided perfect levels of both support and appropriate challenge. Great pictures taken too - thanks! He also flexed around the weather and moved my booking to a day with better conditions. Unfortunately weather prevented a second trip but I will book again when I come back next year.

A wonderful opportunity to explore the coast. Dan came with me and quickly taught me basic kayaking. I have MS and would recommend this to anyone with a sense of adventure! Brilliant!!

I very rarely write reviews, but wanted to take the time to share our about our great experience! We pre-booked online with Hele Bay Adventures for paddle board hire for 3 people. We thought £15 for one hour was very reasonably priced and the time flew by - next time I would definitely book the 2 hour slot, especially if you are a beginner like me, as it takes some time to get used to! I’ve never paddle boarded before and was very apprehensive, but Dan made us feel at ease and was really accommodating. He provided us with life jackets, safety instructions and tips on where to visit. Once we’d finally got the hang of it, we managed to travel to a small cove which was beautiful. There is a gazebo set up on the beach to head to which is easy to find. For something I said I wasn’t really bothered about trying, I would definitely visit here and use Hele Bay Adventures again! Thank you :)

Amazing experience! We booked last minute a double kayak. Dan was patient, flexible and helped us a lot. The kit was very clean. Water was good and there're a lot of caves and secluded beaches that you can reached with the kayak. Highly recommended, we couldn't be happier.

Fantastic equipment rental company based on the beach at Hele Bay in North Devon. Very helpful and friendly staff and very easy on-site booking process. We booked two paddleboards for two hours and it was really good value for money and great equipment. Boards were carried down to the water's edge for us and the overall service was excellent. Do yourself a favour, get down there, and have a great day out on the water; you won't be disappointed!

We came across Hele Bay Adventures on a family day out to the beach. The company is run by very down to earth, practical and knowledgeable folk who clearly enjoy their job!

We hired twice with them that day, once for myself as an experienced kayaker to enjoy the choppy waters, and second later on in the day with the family under their advice for a self-guided tour around the bay when they suggested the waters would be calmer. Their advice was spot on and we went 3 hours later than we anticipated but enjoyed much calmer weather as a result which was definitely worth the wait.

The prices were excellent and the kayaks were sturdy with good quality and good condition equipment with wetsuit hire available for a very decent set price for the duration of our session.

They also offer guided tours, and although we didn't use them, the open and friendly reception we had made me seriously consider returning to enjoy hiring with them again.

Went for a trip around the bay, well organised, Dan was informative and professional. Highly recommend.

Our experience with Hele Bay Adventures was brilliant. We hired 6 single person kayaks to explore Hele Bay for a couple of hours. Our guide was very good, he was welcoming and gave us all the info we needed. He provided the essentials, gave us the run down for our gear and the bay itself, asked about our swimming experience, and then we were off exploring. Everything was very smooth, and whilst we were out it rained and our belongings on shore were looked after under a towel! A very positive experience at a good price, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an adventure in North Devon.

I don’t normally write reviews but… we had a lovely first time paddle board experience (very well priced). Later on we had a couples kayak ride in the evening which was beautiful. all the staff were so kind, especially Dan for his amazing customer service. Anyone who visits Hele Bay I would highly recommend coming having a tour/experience with Hele Bay Adventures - we will be returning!
