My future self will thank me

I bought the Lingo CGM at the beginning of January 2026 from Boots UK. I watched a quick tutorial on the Lingo YouTube channel. Application was easy and painless; I like the app too. I’ve just completed my first week eating my usual diet, and it’s astonishing to see the results. Sweet breakfasts and late-evening ice creams on an empty stomach cause a dramatic spike.

Going into the second week, I will focus on making drastic changes to my diet. Savoury breakfasts and snacks, with lunch and dinner consisting of 50% veggies, 25% protein, and 25% carbs — in this exact order. Definitely placing another order soon.

I tried two Lingo GCMs over the course…

I tried two Lingo GCMs over the course of four weeks. They were adequate at identifying spikes in my blood sugar, but when compared to my glucose monitor readings, my blood sugar would be lower on my GCM by 15 to 20 points.

Product never arrived!

I ordered lingo and they charged my credit card. The product did not arrive. I attempted to call customer service and never got through. I sent 2 emails and received no response. I am suspecting I may have bought through a fraudulent vendor pretending to be lingo. Be careful ordering from this company

After reading the reply, I retract my comments. The delay was due to a legitimate reason and they are making everything good. I was just worried.

It’s helpful to see how my blood sugar…

It’s helpful to see how my blood sugar responds to my food choices & exercise in real time. The weekly challenges also help w/mindfulness- making small adjustments towards healthy habits. The only downside I’ve experienced has been a lack of support when my replacement order wasn’t delivered. Otherwise I would recommend this product to anyone.

I’ve dealt with occasional heart…

I’ve dealt with occasional heart palpitations (PVCs) for years. They’ve always felt random — sometimes quiet for weeks, other times flaring up without an obvious reason. While wearing Lingo, I started noticing something I’d never been able to see before: my palpitations often showed up shortly after glucose spikes, especially when my blood sugar climbed above my usual range.

I’m not saying glucose causes palpitations — that’s a question for doctors — but seeing the timing so clearly was eye-opening. On days when my glucose stayed steady and calm, my palpitations were minimal or absent. On days with sharper spikes, they often returned.

That alone changed how I think about food.

Lingo helped me connect dots I didn’t even know existed — between food, stress, glucose, and how my body feels, not just how it looks. It turned vague symptoms into something I could observe and talk about intelligently with my doctor.

Over time, I learned that how I eat matters just as much as what I eat. Protein-first meals, slower eating, walking after meals, and choosing calmer foods all showed up clearly in my glucose stability. On days when I kept things simple, my graph looked boring — and I felt better.

Here’s the part I didn’t expect:
After a few weeks, I didn’t feel the need to check the app constantly.

That sounds backwards, but it’s actually the point. Lingo didn’t make me anxious — it made me aware. Once I understood my patterns, I could make confident choices without obsessing over numbers. I learned when to say yes, when to say not today, and that I could say no when I wanted to.

I now genuinely believe that almost anyone could benefit from wearing a CGM like Lingo.

Really helpful

Really helpful in understanding how food, excercise and stress affect glucose. I have lost a couple pounds this month, sleeping better, no mid day slump, less cravings. I still eat the same foods, but am more aware of food order and the effects.

Not Properly Engineered

They begin to work, then stop. I have turned my phone off, my Bluetooth on and off and messed around with the phone and the monitor to get it going again then an hour late it happens all over again. I have sent two back so far. It's so annoying.

Using for high normal/ low prediabetes. Delivery works well with parcelforce. It does what it says on the packet. Loses a star because it lost connection many times and was sometimes hard to recover. Also when you buy the 12 week program and replace the sensor each time you have to wait a day for the readings to be correct. This ruins any trends or averages…

I thought my fruit and oatmeal smoothie was a perfect breakfast—until Lingo showed me the glucose spikes it caused. With the app's help, I tweaked my morning meal and now avoid those spikes. Such a game-changer. Science really does beat guessing every time!

Horrible customer service!

I liked the lingo but my second one stopped working after one day, I tried to call several time to the number provided and nothing emailed them twice nothing they said they would replace it and nothing wasted $50 I will never use them again the customer service is horrible!

Is this a scam?

Cancelled my order without any sort of notification. I have no idea why. After purchasing, I received a notification from my credit card that I had made an international purchase. I thought this company was in California? I have a pending charge on my credit card, and I’m concerned I will be charged with no product shipped. Lingo has not responded to my email. Was I scammed??

Edit to respond to Lingo’s response: I have contacted your support email already. They answered me once and after I replied, I’ve received no answer. It’s been ten days.

HelloLingo Falls short

I've been a Lingo user since August 2025, and at first, I had no issues. Because of that, I decided to renew my subscription. More recently, however, I find the quality of the biosensors absolutely appalling and frustrating. I have had to contact customer service several times. While they are glad to replace the biosensor, the replacement biosensors are just as faulty. Right now, I have 3 faulty biosensors. Two of them gave me the error message, "Biosensor incompatible", while the third one, the needle poked through to the external side and was unusable. While it's great that Lingo replaces them free of charge, what good is it if the replacements don't work? In addition, contacting them is no easy feat. Four times, rather than waiting on the phone, I took the option to be called back. A callback never came for any of those times. I also emailed them and never heard back. On Jan 12, I called in to customer service and requested a refund of my remaining biosensors, and requested to speak to a manager. The agent told me that the manager was tied up because they had a lot of calls, and the manager would email me about the refund. I never received an email. As a retired healthcare professional, I'm very familiar with Abbott. I am surprised they have not taken action to improve the Lingo biosensor product. I am hoping this rant makes others aware of the situation, as well as somebody from Abbott reviews this comment.

I have been able to keep my blood suga

I have been able to keep my blood sugar under control and I ca see what my spikes are and when I need to deal in my eating habits. The only complaint I have is almost everyday I lose my signal and it doesn’t monitor what is going on. I have to continue to turn my blue tooth off and on or restart my phone.
