Holloway Friendly Avis 

Having to use my income protection insurance when I became ill and couldn’t work obviously isn’t something I ever thought I’d have to do. When I did need to utilise it Robyn and the Holloway team made it so simple and genuinely wanted to help me which unlike any other insurance I’ve ever come across was a massive different to me. Highly recommend and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. For all my future insurance needs for this type of cover. This is where I will be coming. Thank you, all of you!

Very helpful and supportive during a prolonged and still ongoing recovery, after a serious illness, which has prevented me from working more than a few hours per week. The financial assistance provided has been exactly as agreed in the policy. Moreover the friendly contact and communication with Heather, who has been dealing with my claim has been superb and very supportive, though a difficult time, and has been much appreciated. This company are personal and trustworthy. I had immense help from my own claims contact person and she was invaluable to make the worst experience (of having a Cancer diagnosis and treatment lasting 18 months and being worried about my livihood) bearable.

So quick and easy to deal with, everything explained was kept updated by the advisor throughout.

I am currently signed off work with stress from work I have had injury/sickness cover with Holloway friendly for 3 years and never had any time off work or claimed on this policy I have just been informed they will not cover me for stress as they don't see this as a mental illness they cover yet I have paperwork recently sent via the chief operating officer that they will pay me if I'm off with any illness or injury that stops me from working I have requested the original phone call where I was obviously lied to regarding what they cover to sell me such a policy I have sent this company all my medical records and all information they asked for rather than tell me almost 2 months ago I wasn't covered they are only now telling me I will not be paid a penny

I recently had to claim with Holloway Friendly for time off work due to a full hip replacement. They made up partial absence payments from my employer for the 12 weeks i was paid and then took over full payment when my employer stopped after three months. My phased return was again subsidised by HF until I no longer needed to claim. A very big thanks to Tracey my claims speciaist who was always at the end of the telephone. Thanks again

Awful experience with this company who took up an hour of my time answering endlessly inane questions over and over. I mean do you really need to ask me three times if I'm a smoker? Only to refuse my application almost immediately because I have arthritis. Surely there should be a way of not wasting people's time like this. An hour off work for nothing. Really poor experience.

I'd give zero stars if I physically could, another SCUMBAG insurance company that wiggles their way out of paying you the insurance policy that you've paid thousands into over the years. Noted me down as a 'regular' drug user and used this as a reason to void my insurance when I was on my back and needed their help, even though the last time I had used recreational drugs was 6 years prior to when i had took out the policy. I was maybe too honest. Lie through your teeth just like these lot do when they get you to sign up....promising you it's so simple to claim when you need to. Fight fire with fire people. The claim investigator was more of an interrogator....asking me stuff I'd struggle opening up to with a counsellor. Proper personal and in my eyes very unprofessional, but he's done his job and saved the company money. Thieves is the only word left for this lot! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU AVOID AT ALL COSTS. MODETN DAY COWARDS & SCUMBAGS

Holloway have been so helpful during a really difficult time for me. I became ill recently and have been unable to continue working whilst I go through treatments. I've had a policy in place to protect my income should this ever happen but was nervous dealing with an insurance company and getting caught out.
I informed Holloway of this and was contacted a day or two later by my own claims advisor - ive only had to deal with one person throughout this whole process. Sharon clearly explained the claims process, took me through everything and has been really helpful and came across genuinely friendly throughout.
Payment was authorised just a day or two later whilst the claim was being processed meaning I wasn't waiting for payment's whilst Holloway completed things thier end. I did hit complications with my claim due to my Dr's surgery sending across incorrect information but yet again Sharon could not have been more helpful trying to resolve for me and Holloway themselves took a human view on the situation where I would have expected an insurance company to use a loophole to not pay out. This is by far the best insurance company ive dealt with. Would strongly recommend.
