A Cat, a Dog, a Garden and a House All Taken Care Of
I needed someone to look after my house, dog and cat for five weeks over Christmas and New Year 2023/24 and the Housesitting company provided the perfect Laura. A charming, reliable housesitter who left the house in perfect condition and was adored by the animals.
The Housesitting Company was efficient and quick to find me suitable people and guide me on photographs for my advertisement.
All together very successful.

This company charges the home owner for work done by the sitters and keeps the money themselves. If I’m walking a dog twice a day and caring for it, shouldn’t I get the money $6 day? Exploitation? I think so!

Our sitters join The Housesitting Company knowing very clearly that they are volunteers and the exchange is free accommodation, often in high-end homes, a background check, $2m public liability insurance cover and support throughout and after a housesit, if a situation arises.
For many sitters, housesitting is a fantastic way to travel without the expensive cost of hotels. Homeowners pay a finder's fee which covers administration costs sourcing police checked sitters, who are covered with public insurance cover and support through the process of booking a sitter.

The process was very easy and smooth and our house sitters were great. It gave us a huge piece of mind knowing our dogs were well cared for and not stressed out being in kennels for almost a month. It was also very hot during our time away and knowing my garden was being watered and well cared for was a relief.
I would absolutely use this company again.

Great Experience with house sitting company
Being part of house sitting company has been a great experience, I have had the opportunnity to know new places in New Zealand and also meet some nice people and the hostess had been amazing they really care about their pets, I love animals so its always very nice for me to take care of them, the house company personal are very attentive and always have a quick response to our doubts, they do care about us and the hostess. I really recommend to be part of this company.

Awesome Housesitting
I really enjoyed having the place to myself and finding it peaceful and quiet with the lovely company of a cat. I felt very secure while minding this home and cat for 12 days.
