Never go to Metrotown mall in Burnaby, BC. They told me it is a free parking for customers, up to 4hours. I stayed less than 30 min, just went to pickup. I would pay parking but parking person in uniform told me not to pay if I’m in the mall for less than 4hours. Looks like they work on ticket business as it is much more than parking and they hire people to tell us that parking is free for customers up to 4h.

Impark is a scam

Impark is a scam. We received a notice for parking violation dated 2026/02/19 and we live on Vancouver Island and were not in Vancouver on that date let alone month! Nice try Impark! No ways I am paying a fine when we live on the Island!

Impark Parking - Metrotown, Burnaby BC

I am writing to formally dispute an Impark Parking Ticket #01R335062, issued on Monday, March 9th at 15:39 at Metrotown, for $98.00.

My daughter, a student and new driver, was using the parking facility. We have used this location multiple times in the past without issue, and to our knowledge, the vehicle was parked legally at the time.

Upon receiving the ticket, I contacted Impark customer service. During my first call, I requested to speak with a manager, but after being placed on hold for 30 minutes, the call was disconnected. On a second call, the supervisor was unable to provide the parking spot number or a photograph of the vehicle in the stall. I believe this information is essential to verify the validity of the ticket. The City of Vancouver provides photographic evidence in similar circumstances, and I respectfully request that Impark provide the same.

Based on the lack of evidence and the circumstances described, I believe this ticket was issued in error. I kindly request that Parking Ticket #01R335062 be cancelled as a courtesy.

Customer Service is awful

Customer Service is awful, I was just yelled at from some person named Biwalker?? for asking a question.
We all have received a letter saying our lot #287 is closing, I have called twice now been on hold for an hour and they have zero clue about this letter they sent?
I wanted comfirmation of this lot closure so all of our staff can find alternative parking and cannot get an answer? how do they not know if they are closing a lot or not?

What's wrong in the world!

Received a parking notice at 655 Bay despite being a healthcare provider in the building and a regular paying customer. An urgent patient matter caused a one-time oversight.

Customer service declined with a template response even after presenting history of good patronage.

Disappointing lack of discretion for a company operating in a medical building. I will be avoiding Impark lots.

I got a notice in the mail of an unpaid parking ticket. This is news to me as when I have visited that parking lot I've always paid and I have never found a ticket on my truck.

Besides all of that, impark is a money grab and where they operate are areas where the broke and sick are. I don't know how they feel like what they are doing is okay, by all means operate at a mall or city parking but at the bleeping hospital where people are sick and going through some crap or at a collage where students are eating like crap just to stay afloat. Impark is the lostest of the low.

App issues and broken payment stations

App works occasionally. Support thru the app has limited options that don't get anywhere. Payment station broken and app not working so your option according to them is to park at another lot. Have reinstalled hangtag, cleared my cache. Continues to have issues accepting payment.

Ticketed for a 4-minute overstay with valid HangTag – no discretion

I received a parking notice from Impark on December 21 after my HangTag expired by four minutes.
The ticket was issued at 4:40 pm, while my HangTag expired at 4:36 pm.

The HangTag was valid, properly displayed, and I had paid parking immediately prior. There was no intent to overstay — I was returning to my vehicle. I contacted Impark customer support to request a courtesy cancellation due to the extremely short overage, but the agent refused to cancel the notice.

While I understand enforcement rules, this experience shows zero discretion even in very minor situations. I’m sharing this so others are aware that Impark may ticket immediately after expiry, even by just a few minutes, and may not cancel despite good-faith compliance.

I recommend being extremely cautious when parking in Impark-managed lots.

The online customer service agent…

The online customer service agent repeatedly asked me to wait while he reviewed my case, which took nearly an hour. In the end, he spent only a few minutes refusing my request and then asked me to end the conversation. The entire process was a complete waste of time and extremely frustrating.

A lack of ethics from customer support and the company.

I understand that Impark isn't in the business of handling very cheerful customers; however, it's no reason for them not to try and make it a positive interaction.

I have never been treated so robotically in my life. They have this rule that if you pay for parking after you get a notice, it doesn't count. I paid for a full day of parking, 5 hours after I got the notice (I didn't know I got a ticket before paying for my parking).

I contacted them and said I paid for my parking that day. They didn't care at all. I thought, "Isn't the whole point of a ticket to make me pay for parking?" Nope, to them, they just want your money. I truly felt like a piece of gum on a sidewalk and was getting stomped on.

The lack of ethics from their company just screams f-you. Please, for the love of God, can a parking company have a heart?

Incompetent

I got a ticket for not paying because I hadn't noticed the parking was paid. I called to pay the notice, and have received two notices since then claiming that I haven't paid. I paid on August 1, and already resolved the 1st notice over the phone, but have received yet another notice over 2 months later. I can't even reach them over the phone today because it keeps hanging up.

I received a ticket even though I’ve paid. Unfortunately I’ve input my alphabet one number wrong, v instead of w. I called Impark immediately after I got into car and agent said don’t worry about it and he’ll take care of ticket. A month later I get a ticket in mail and I’ve phoned and they said they never received call from me. I’ve tried to email but email always cyback to call the 1800 number. They are so rude on the phone. This is such a terrible business.

Parked and stupid no ticket machine at…

Parked and stupid no ticket machine at entrance...had to find one on 2nd floor. By the time I came to put it on the dashboard and $100/- ticket was on my windshield. Called them and the Crooks said I have to pay!!!!

DONT PARK ANY OF THEM. Whiteout parking ticket they declared they gave me ticket and they r trying to charge me 98 dollars. I’m asking for the ticket which I never received and photos of my car in the violation they r telling me still investigating. Its been 4 months.

Beware!! They will penalize you even when you are not in the wrong.

I parked my vehicle at waterfront Centre (lot#695), on July 18th at 5:02 pm, and paid for my parking stall and inspite of this, the patroller (patroller# 8) issued me a notice. It seems IMPARK's systems are broken OR they/their patrollers are sneaky and trying to make a quick buck out of unsuspecting customers. I am glad that i held on to the parking ticket as i usually throw it away. Besides, their website chat service is terrible as no one showed up inspite of waiting for over 40 mins to get help on waiving off my notice!!!. The only way i could get to someone was over their phone line where a robotic female who didnt enjoy her job spoke with me to have my notice cancelled. When i asked her the reason why would a patroller charge me when i paid for the ticket, she didnt have an answer! What a terrible company!! If IMPARK's management want details then reach out to me.

Terrible experience with Impark. I parked at Landwer Café after 6 PM and got a free permit—they still issued a notice and only offered a $3 reduction when I called. They ignore posted rules and harass customers for money no matter what. Their behavior is exactly as described by countless others online—predatory, unfair, and money-hungry. Do yourself a favor and avoid using Impark!

Worst Company Ever

They are literally the worst company to ever exist, parking-related or otherwise. They'll wait for you to be 5 minutes past the hours you paid for (they also charge an exorbitant fee to park in their badly maintained privately-owned lots), and then write you a $100 ticket. How sad and pathetic.

Their employees contribute absolutely nothing to society, they're just frankly lowly leeches that walk around parking lots trying to make a quick buck. They should feel ashamed of themselves though unfortunately they don't have any shame in the first place, otherwise they won't be wearing that corny-looking Impark vest.
