Poor Customer Support and Delayed Responses
My trip was almost ruined due to Indus Travels' poor customer service. Any time I had a question or concern, it would take days to get a response. For an international trip, this lack of support was unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend Indus if you value timely assistance and transparency.

Misleading Itinerary and Hidden Costs
I booked with Indus Travels expecting a seamless experience, but the trip was filled with unexpected costs. The itinerary was misleading, with lots of additional charges for things that should have been included. It was disappointing to feel nickel-and-dimed at every turn. I won’t be using their services again.

Disappointing Service and Lack of Transparency
We were excited about our trip with Indus Travels, but it ended up being a frustrating experience. Important details were left out of the itinerary, and we constantly felt unprepared. Reaching customer service was a challenge, and when we did, the responses were not very helpful. I would not recommend them based on this experience.

We had a great time in Egypt & Dubai with Indus. The tour manager was wonderful - professional, organized, knowledgeable and caring. The trip itself covered all the things we wanted to see and the services provided by Indus were handled really well. Good job!

I just returned from Peru where I did
I just returned from Peru where I did my first Indus tour. It was a fabulous trip from beginning to end! Our tour guide, Jhonatan, could not have been more knowledgeable or compassionate about his country. He amazed me with the history he shared of the Incas. We crammed a lot in on our 7 day tour, but I feel we were abel to capture a feel for the history and culture of Peru. Can't wait to schedule my next Indus trip!

I write this as i sit at a coffee shop with 2 people who I met at my solo trip to Ireland with indus. My trip to Ireland was great. Got to meet so many solo travelers and made these friends who live in nearby districts. Would love to travel with Indus once again. Everything was great. Hotels were nice and itinerary was also good. Amazing experience!

Untrustworthy company
Untrustworthy company. Do not do marketing work for this company. They won't pay the agreed amount and will ghost you and all invoices and emails.
I booked what was supposed to be a "guided tour" lol
I booked what was supposed to be a "guided group tour" to Ireland. I didn't get my final documents until 2 days before I flew out. The return flight was on the wrong day. I contacted them and it was fixed but good thing I looked. At the airport, we were waiting there without a local contact person or name. A taxi guy finally showed up and drove us to the hotel. He was not a tour guide, he was hired just to transport us. The hotel was nice. Next, the booked tours were described originally as being guided tours. We had to pay for taxis to each meet up spot, to get on a tour. I could have done all of this booking myself online. There was never one tour company or person that escorted us to destinations. We were driven by taxis, having to pay each time, and then left on our own to explore what we were able to walk to. Example, Kilkenny, a bus drove us there, but we were on our own for 2 hours, in the rain, to walk to what we wanted to see. I was expecting to be taken by a "guided tour" to see these places like the castle, instead, on my own, walk and then pay to get in. Another problem was the train was to take us from Dublin to Belfast. Another taxi to the train station, on our own, to find out we had to transfer onto a bus midway. All of this figuring it out ourselves. Very stressful. Almost missed the bus once on the way back because the pickup spot had changed, two taxi rides that time $$. I did see a lot of Ireland and had some good experiences but all of it could have been booked and arranged myself without this "guided tour" I will not be using them again.
DO NOT book with Indus
This was the worst tour I have ever taken, and I travel a lot. Indus Travel was difficult to work with from the very beginning when we tried to purchase seats for our flight and they added significant fees on top of the airline fees. We booked a tour of Italy and the very first day issues started arising. The tour guide was very unorganized and did not communicate well with our group. The first day was our tour of the Vatican and only half of our group got tickets! The rest of us (13 people) waited 5 hours with absolutely nothing to do until the other half of our group got out! How could we be in Rome and not see the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, or St Peters Basilica?
The rest of the trip was more of the same. No communication, wasted time, and poor planning. I wish I booked my tour on Trafalger or Globus where I have had excellent experiences in the past. I know what I good tour should be and this was not it.

Indus Travel has a bait and switch business model
This company has a bait and switch business model. Signed up a year + in advance and paid in full. They cancelled the 3 country 10-day tour with airfare (after I kept trying to contact them and find our flight schedules) and tried to interest us in a 1 country shorter tour or different dates and we would have had to pay more money and airfare. Avoid this company like the plague.

Glorious Greece
Glorious Greece - a trip of a lifetime made possible by excellent guides, great hotels, and an amazing itinerary. From start to finish our trip to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini was exceptional as were our hospitable guides. The team at Indus and its partners went above and beyond for our group. We especially loved Nena our guide at the Acropolis who was exceptionally knowledgeable about all aspects of the site including the mythology and stories told for generations. This is a trip we won't soon forget.
Amazing Ecuador with Galapagos…
We booked an Ecuador with Galapagos tour with Indus. From the beginning to the end, it was exceptional. The support we received from Indus made everything smooth, even when we had two flights canceled (not due to Indus) and had to make changes.
We have used Indus for multiple trips and we highly sing their praises.
BUYER BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has a policy that if THEY cancel your trip…THEY get to keep your money and you get a credit the company. They cancelled my first trip..found out the hard way about their policy. Booked a trip…then had left over money so booked another…which they cancelled…again. Surprisingly…this time they offered a refund, but only gave me back the money I had put down…not what was left of “my credit”. So now I am forced to do business with a company I no longer wish to, that picks and chooses when to follow their own policy!! There are plenty of other travel agencies with similar tours…don’t give these guys your hard earned money for them to keep.

Indus is a company you want to avoid
Indus is a company you want to avoid. They are not honest at all. When a company will not share information, you must wonder why. They are a travel agency not the company that provides the tour. They will not even tell you the name of the company you will be travelling with. The only reason they have a BBB rating is because BBB only rates according to the time the company takes to respond to a complaint. the issues are never resolved to the clients satisfaction. Be smart and learn from others misfortune.

THE GUIDE DIDNT GIVE AN ENGLISH TOUR!!! Please Beware if traveling in Greece or other European Countries. I booked an English speaking tour in Greece, the tour ended up being a bus ride across the country in Spanish. I brought this to the attention of Indus the very first day of the tour! Indus utilizes EUROPMUNDO who is clearly a scam company. First and foremost, our tour itinerary included numerous unnecessary stops at small villages ill-equipped to cater to the needs of a large group like ours. This resulted in excessive travel time and a lack of suitable facilities, including toilets and restaurants capable of accommodating our group's size. The selection of hotels and the quality of food provided were subpar, leading us to feel deceived and unsatisfied with the overall value of the tour. This was exacerbated by the absence of a meet-and-greet or clear information on where to assemble on the first day. Regrettably, these circumstances led to the unfortunate consequence of spending a significant portion of our vacation on the bus, with our arrival at cities often coinciding with the closure of attractions.

This company should not be in business
This company should not be in business, unfortunately, they will continue their bad practices as long as people can be duped. I and a friend unfortunately booked with them ( I trusted my friend). I should have looked for reviews on this company before booking. It was supposed to be a London & Scotland tour including a visit to Stonehenge & Bath. Stonehenge & Bath never happened. The tour guides explanation was simply “no we’re not going to do that”. The tour guide was lazy, she had no knowledge of the places we did visit by a non-luxury coach bus with dirty windows. There was soooooo many things wrong with this trip it would take to long to write. I hope people start reading these reviews to save themselves a headache and lost money.
Indus lied about the airline
Indus lied about the airline, not a direct flight, not Emirates. Indus booked us into fleabag hotels. The nile cruise food was pigslop. Never use them. They do not care about your travel experience.
They are SCAMMERS
They are SCAMMERS! We booked a trip in March 2022 for April 2023. Last week we got an email saying they can no longer offer those dates but we can pay more to go on a different dates. I asked for a refund but they are refusing a refund and only want to give us a credit to use with them. They have held onto our money for a year just to cancel the trip and refuse a refund.

I had the misfortune of traveling with them to Thailand several years ago. The hotels were third rate and there was 2 stops each way on the flight. My friend who organized a trip to Egypt and Dubai swore that Indus changed their ways and the flight would be direct. Guess what? Each leg has a stop and a 3 and 5 hour delay! Of course they booked the flights a couple of months ago and just informed us a couple of weeks before the trip. The hotel in Cairo was also released and it cost $70 a night! A beautiful hotel would cost $200! It looked like a fleebag! Of course the people who organized the trip looked like deer caught in a headlight. I actually spoke to the crooks there and they said go ahead and sue us. There is nothing you can do. Please look somewhere else
Do NOT book with this company
I paid a deposit of $1549.00 when I made my booking on 9/22/22. I received confirmation from Indus Travel on 9/22/22 that my booking was confirmed. On 10/4/22 I received an email from Ravi Yengkokpam that unfortunately your partner in Kenya is unable to accommodate this travel date and to consider doing it on a private basis. I had tried emailing Ravi back and scheduled a callback from him as well. I received an email from Monica Kanengoni that Ravi was out of the office, but they would look into other options and get back to me with those options in a couple of days. I heard nothing and emailed again on 10/11/22 and 10/12/22 that I had not heard back or gotten any options. On 10/13/22 Ravi emailed me that they need at least 3-4 passengers to travel that day and to wait 75 prior to travel date. No information regarding prices for private tour, no option to switch the travel dates. At that point I called Ravi and spoke to him on the phone. He was rude and unhelpful. He kept reiterating the travel dates that I booked because these dates were offered on their website, were actually not available and there was nothing he could do until 75 days prior to travel. There is nowhere on their website or their terms that state tours are NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL 75 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. He did not have pricing or an option for a private tour and said there was nothing available in March but we can wait until 75 before departure and see what might be available then. I said that was unacceptable and asked what my other options were. He said he could offer me a voucher for $1,549.00 for future travel. Future travel??? I was trying to book a trip to Kenya through your company for March and couldn’t! I asked to speak to a supervisor. He refused to transfer me, but would have one call me back in a couple of hours. I did not hear back from anyone, so I filed a dispute with My credit card company . Rachel called me back on 10/14/22 who apparently is a supervisor. I advised her I wanted to cancel because of what was told to me by Ravi, and that I wanted to be refunded. She asked if I could be flexible with the dates in March, which I said yes. I had already told Ravi this, but was told there was nothing else available and I would have to wait 75 before travel. She said that was incorrect, and that she would contact their partner in Kenya and rebook to a confirmed tour in March or would have my deposit refunded to me. She asked that I give her 2 weeks, and if they could not accommodate that I would get a refund. She also said she would give me updates. I heard nothing. I called Indus Travel 2 weeks later and left a voicemail which was not returned. I received a letter from my cc stating I need to provide more documentation since the booking is not canceled. I emailed Rachel again today, 11/15/22 and said I have not heard back from anyone at Indus travel and would AGAIN, like to cancel my booking and be fully refunded. Her response was since I had disputed the charges, this was between their accounting department and my credit card company . I have tried calling the accounting department several times and keep getting disconnected or told they can not transfer me. My cc company can not dispute charges because the booking was not canceled, however if I cancel per Indus terms and conditions, I forfeit my deposit.
I have seen the email correspondences between Indus and their partner in Kenya. Not only can Indus not guarantee my booking 75 days out, THEIR PARTNER won’t guarantee it until 30 days out because my booking is only for 1. NOWHERE on their website or your terms does it say bookings are not guaranteed until 30 days prior to departure for single travel. Not to mention I’d have to pay my balance of 1600.00 75 days out for a trip they can’t guarantee.
It’s a scam company.
