A shameful company

DO NOT USE Travel Indus for traveling. It is a deceptive company. I live in Sarasota, Florida and was supposed to fly to Europe the same day that Category 4 hurricane Ian hit us. Indus Travel said it was fine for us to travel. The hurricane was catastrophic; many lost their homes due to the winds and flooding and we lost water, power and Wi-Fi for over a week in addition to minor damage. We were required to evacuate and sheltered with all roads closed during the hurricane. Even our main Florida highway was flooded. I asked Travel Indus to postpone our trip. They refused. They could care less about us losing our lives and completely ignored our multiple requests to postpone the trip. I contacted them 12 times in 1 week and received no help. This company is disgraceful and shouldn’t be doing travel business.

We really appreciate how frustrating this must all have been for you and we certainly empathise with your situation and that of all Floridians affected by the recent hurricane. You contacted us numerous times in the lead up to your trip and we explained each time that Miami International Airport was not closed and that the flight booked on was still scheduled to operate; that this could change at a moments notice and should that happen we could then review what options the airline would provide as alternative travel plans. This occurred with a few of the airports in Florida but not with Miami International; which stayed open. We suggested that if you had travel insurance (it was not purchased through us), that you should contact them immediately to open a claim. We did not tell you to travel; we simply advised that all services were scheduled to depart as originally booked. We understand that your circumstances warranted that you should stay put and not travel, however as per our terms and conditions the tour would be considered non refundable/non transferrable. We have clients with medical emergencies or other urgent reasons that must also cancel last minute and as much as we empathise with their situations too, we must follow our terms & conditions for all our clients regardless of how we may feel personally. The main reason that we get our valued clients like yourself to agree to the terms and conditions at the time of booking is because we also agree to stringent terms with our tour and airline partners. This is why we offer travel insurance at the time of booking. Travel Insurance is meant to cover one for the what ifs, the unknowns that can happen prior to or during travel.

Hi,today i travelled from Bangalore to allaggadda,i felt soooo bad for indus travels,i didn't understand why they changed the bus after 6am,my destination time at 6 am but that time bus people asked to us change the bus ,it's tooooooooooo badddddddddddd service , don't prefer this travells compare to this travels government buses are more better than this indus travels,i will say all don't prefer this bus any cost ,one of the waste travel service .....

Scam. Stay away. I booked a $1900+ self-drive vacation to Ireland. A few weeks later they still have not booked my itineraries which I needed because I had other flights that I needed coordinate. So I called them and I explained that I needed to cancel. They agreed to cancel and refund my money. However, they never did and when I called them again they denied that they agreed to refund me the money. So I called them to at least give me the trip then since they would not cancel. But they also refused leaving me with nothing in return for my almost $2000. I got totally scammed.

Once they get your money, you are at their mercy. This is a group of dishonest people. Stay away.

Indus Mystical Egypt Tour was excellent…

Indus Mystical Egypt Tour was excellent with the exception of having to be on a flight to Aswan after arriving in Cairo requiring we all get up at 2:30 a.m. creating a major sleep deficit right off the bat. We had few people become ill with diarrhea and being dehydrated and I wonder if lack of sleep might have contributed to this condition. Luckily me and my partner were fine. To repeat Tour Guide Mohamed was terrific! Don't know how Indus provide such a value for money trip for so little money. Great value! Highly recommended.

If I could give them a lower score I would! I booked a trip to Morocco in October 2021. I bought travel insurance for the trip. Because of the Covid rate in Morocco the trip was canceled. They told me it was not possible to refund my money, I could book another trip. How can you plan another trip without knowing what’s going to happen with the Covid rate, New Covid variances, on and on and on.

Indus basically ruined much of our “The Best of the Amalfi Coast” trip taken this September, 2021. We booked the trip primarily to visit Positano and Ravello, close to Amalfi, Italy. Indus listed possibility of visiting these sites in its advertising as well as trip itinerary. Instead of working with us about arranging to visit these towns, Indus gave us assorted erroneous information, including that excursions had been cancelled to those villages because of Covid; that their Italian contact said we would need to pay $1000–$1500 to pay to charter boat; that no other way available to visit sites. All wrong information. When we were in Amalfi, we easily contacted the ferry and paid about 18 euros round trip for the trip to Positano. This was only the beginning of the many problems, most of them costing us more money. The driver did not meet us in the usual place at the airport. When we finally located him, he said that Indus’ instructions in their itinerary outdated. Indus did not respond to our emergency communication before we finally located the driver. Indus did not provide transportation to the Coliseum or Vatican tours as stated in the itinerary. Instead, we had to pay for round trip taxis. Indus did not provide transportation to the train station. Indus made reservations for both me and my friend (73 years old each) in separate railway cars. I was surrounded by empty seats. There was no reason to separate us. Indus did not respond to my emergency email after my friend missed the train. Indus booked us a hotel in Atrani where we had to climb a steep 81 steps to reach the hotel. We would never have agreed to that climb, as it could have been very dangerous for us. The hotel in Atrani where we were booked told us that there was no shuttle or taxi service to Amalfi. We had to hire a driver at 20 euros a trip to take us or take a steep walk including on a side of the road and a dark tunnel with no sidewalk to have reached Amalfi. Italy’s traffic is dangerously aggressive and we did not want to walk. Indus’ communication was terrible and they didn’t work with us about the problems they created in our trip. Very poor and at times non existent customer service for a very expensive trip. Also, Indus’ agent was almost impossible for us to understand, and my friend and I are native English speakers. We made it clear we could not understand him to no avail. Around $3000 each for this eight day trip. Unbelievable stress.

De kan IKKE anbefales. De har beholdt mine penge i flere måneder selvom at de selv bad om kontooplysninger så de kunne tilbageføre mine penge. Desuden så var de stort set umulige at komme i kontakt med.

Are They Still in Business…

I had a tour book to Portugal which was cancelled. Have been trying to get my money refunded. Email contact has stopped and you can't call them on the telephone. You have to leave a name and number which I did. I have started proceedings with my credit card company to get the refund. Are they still in business?

Thieves, deceivers, heartless!

THIEVES, DECEIVERS, LIERS, SCAMMERS, stay away! I booked a Scotland trip at Indus using their website for me and my wife back in May and the trip was going to be in August. We planned to augment as we will be arriving before the start day of the package and staying a few more days after its end date. I paid close to $1900. I waited for a week for them to send me my itineraries and hotel bookings and when none arrived I contacted Indus because I needed the hotel bookings so I can book the other itineraries. I then asked for the hotel bookings but to my surprise, they said they will send it to me 3 weeks before the trip would start - which would not work for us because we had to book other hotels and wed have to know the locations of the hotels from Indus in order for us to plan the others. I told them that I would like to cancel. They told me that the reason it takes time is because they “would like us to have the best experience”. I told them I could wait another week and gave them until Wednesday the following week and if the itineraries are not ready, I will have to cancel. One week later, that was a Wednesday, there were still no itineraries. I contacted them at 3PM, Boston time still nothing. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Immediately after that, I received an email from Tanya containing proposed itineraries but no confirmation from the hotels. She begged several times via email and voice mails and asked me to cancel the dispute because my credit card company was holding the payment. I considered and I agreed to try and work it out and give them a chance and so I called by credit card company and cancelled the dispute. About three weeks later, I still did not receive my confirmed itineraries from Indus and so I contacted Tanya how it was going. She said that the payment hasn’t come through from my credit card company. At that point, because it was getting to late, I asked, through their website chat, if we could just really cancel this time because obviously it wasn’t working out. She agreed that they will cancel all services. I clarified if they were still going to charge me because I did not want to lose my money. She said no. I took screenshots of the chat so I can have a proof. A weeks later, I realized that my credit card company has paid Indus and when I contacted them and explained to them that the transaction has been cancelled, they wanted a cancellation receipt from Indus. So I contacted Tanya and asked for a refund receipt to show my credit company. At that point she started denying our agreement. In short, they were begging me to cancel the dispute but once they got the money, they ran away with it. I called them and emailed them - Tanya denied our agreements because they were either verbal or via a chat and those are not accepted as evidence by financial institutions. They took my close to $1900 would not try to work things out, they just wanted the money! THIEVES, DECEIVERS, LIERS, SCAMMERS, stay away!
