Awful
Horrendous, you could leave your car sat on a driveway for the entire policy and they would say you’ve been speeding and cornering too harsh, would not recommend , trying to get hold of them to discuss your feedback is impossible they just keep you on hold until you give up

Be careful on the renewal they base it…
Be careful on the renewal they base it on your previous year’s mileage which during the pandemic will be lower than your future driving. They will then charge extra half way through the year to increase the mileage. In my first year I paid for 10k mileage. In my renewal they removed it and reduced it to 7k. No other insurance company does this. The renewal should have the same details unless I change it,
Now trying to add miles is a NIGHTMARE! THEIR SYSTEMS HAVE NOT BEEN WORKING FOR WEEKS!

Terrible company! I’ve Been left a week now with no insurance for my new car. I’ve been told daily the problem will be resolved the following day, only to be told the same thing over and over each day. The system is down, nothing we can do and to wait! Now I’ve been told it could be another week. They have the cheek to tell me if I cancel I will be charged cancellation fees? So I’m paying for a service that I’m currently not getting and they have no idea when they will be back up and running. I’m having to pay out daily for insurance cover for my new vehicle and not even being offered any kind of compensation or being reimbursed for the costs. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve also raised a complaint to head office and had nothing back.

very bad customer service
I do not normally write reviews but my experience with ingenie has been so poor... this message on their website has been there since at least Monday;We are currently experiencing some technical issues which mean we are unable to process quotes at the moment, Please try again in the next 24 hours. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.....
Since Monday I tried to contact them to change my vehicle, details and policy as my current car is now broken. On the webchat you are going through the same questions again and again only to be told that their system is down and they can't help. When calling Ingenie they promise you they will get back to you and then nothing!
I also emailed ingenie' , raising a complaint, and have yet to hear from them.
Now after 4 days I still have no car I can drive, a policy for a broken car and a car without policy!!!

Very poor service
Very poor service, advertising insurance, taking money for it and then telephoning to inform customer ingenie made a mistake and should not have advertised the insurance. At least you took ownership of your mistake but it reflects very poorly on your business.
I would not intertain looking at any quotes advertised by your organisation and I would not promote any business your way.

Avoid! I do not normally write reviews but my experience with ingenie has been so poor... Regular difficulties accessing documents (requires postcode and DOB - both of which I know!) but error message appears. This has happened on numerous occasions. This would be less annoying if there was a way to report and resolve this. However, ingenie have very limited opening times -close at 1300 Sat and not open at all Sunday. Therefore, it is often impossible to access your documents when you need them. Phone numbers are for reporting accidents only and they informed me that they are a different company so cannot help. Having reported this, customer services are less than interested. Cancellation of policy is prohibitively expensive or I would have left. Regret my policy with them. Avoid!
I also emailed ingenie, raising a complaint, and have yet to hear from them.

Avoid don't be scammed by low quotes
Worst company for car insurance don't be fooled by their low quotes they will milk you dry.
passed on their cancelation fee of £80 to a debt collector within 2 weeks after ripping me off £500 for a months driving.
no phone numbers to be called awful service awful company doesn't deserve anyone else's money be better for them to go bust.

WOW....what a complete joke.
I purchased a black box insurance for my daughter, and paid the deposit on my credit card and set up the direct debit. No policy documents were received, so unsure if she was insured or not I didn't let her drive her car. I contacted their customer service team via webchat to be told that the documents were emailed, but they would email them again. after 45 minutes still no documents.
I then began reading all of the poor reviews that they are receiving. I suggested that as there is a 14 cooling off period that I just cancel the policy, get a full refund and go elsewhere. To cancel the policy in less than 24 hours would cost me about £80..... Please explain how this is even possible.
DON'T GET DRAWN IN BY A CHEAP QUOTE, THE EXPERIENCE REALLY ISN'T WORTH IT. THE WORST CAR INSURANCE COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH
