Buyer beware - poor customer service

Pre sales service was fine. However, when the rubber hits the road, that is when it is most important to have customer service. I have called multiple times to return a small portion of of the order because of incorrect information given. They have told me two times that they would get back with me. They have not. I call and can reach nobody. It says their voicemail box is full. I will not order again with this service level.

We genuinely pride ourselves on our customer service and accessibility - both before and after a sale, so we are sorry that your experience did not live up to that standard.

Fridays can be exceptionally busy as we try to get every customer sorted before the weekend; unfortunately, the high volume of calls meant our voicemail filled up faster than we could clear it. This isn’t the level of accessibility we aim for, and are working on better ways to manage those sometimes end-of-week surges.  
To provide some context for others reading this- Our team recommended purchasing the additional step upon consultation with you, because the ladder's standard reach is 8’2 3/8” – 9’2 1/4", and your ceiling height was noted as being higher than this, hence requiring the extra step extension as recommended by the manufacturer. We always lean toward safety to ensure a ladder isn't overextended or unstable.

Regarding the return of the extra step:

The Policy: Our standard terms & conditions, shared at the time of purchase do include a restocking fee and return shipping costs for surplus parts.

The Resolution: Because we value your experience, we first waived the restocking fee. When we realized you were still unhappy, we went a step further and absorbed the return shipping costs as well, effectively taking a loss on the return and keeping you from being out of pocket.
While we regret the communication friction you experienced after the sale, we hope the fact that we absorbed all return costs demonstrates our commitment to doing right by our customers.
We are glad the ladder is now installed, and we wish you the best with your newly installed attic access.

I placed an order for mineral wool…Fraud!

I placed an order for mineral wool insulation; the order didn't ship within the timeframe quoted on the website, and then they came back to me telling me I would need to double the payment. I asked them to cancel the order and return my payment. It's now been two weeks and I haven't seen a credit. I'm reporting as fraud to my credit card company.

Scam "insurance" required

Was about to place an order, but their checkout kept adding "shipping insurance" which as a business owner myself, recognize as a complete scam. It is a way for the business to add extra profit to their pocket. Reputable businesses don't FORCE you to pay extra for insurance and automatically fix any issues you might have as the price of doing business. THEN, I read the horrible reviews about this company taking orders, but not having the product to ship? They are dropshipping and apparently need a minimum to order from the manufacturer. Glad I read reviews first. I will order from Home Depot even at a higher rate to make sure I am not scammed AND get the items I need right away instead of weeks or months later. SMH

We also wanted to clarify the benefits of our Shipping Protection. For orders shipped via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carriers, responsibility transfers to the customer once the shipment leaves our depot in perfect condition. Our Shipping Protection is designed to safeguard our customers in the event of damage during transit by the carrier. If a customer has this protection, we will either allow them to keep or dispose of the damaged goods, and we will ship a brand-new replacement order at no additional cost.

Without Shipping Protection, customers would need to file a claim directly with the carrier, which can often be a lengthy process, leaving them without their product. They would also need to purchase a new order while awaiting potential reimbursement from the carrier, which can sometimes take up to three months. Our Shipping Protection eliminates this hassle by ensuring a prompt replacement shipment.

Regarding your feedback on minimum order quantities, we want to assure you that we do not impose minimum order requirements through our supply partners. The quantities listed on our website are exactly what we supply to our customers. We are aware of some stock availability issues nationwide due to high demand in certain areas, a challenge that many suppliers are currently facing as manufacturers work to keep up with market demand.

We are pleased to report that the majority of our orders are being delivered to our customers within 3 to 5 days, and in some cases, even on the same or next day.

Nice people but will sell you a…

Nice people but will sell you a delivery where they need to wait and pool orders before it goes out.

You ask them when it's going to arrive and they don't know.

Wish this was explained better at the beginning.

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS

Insulation4US outright stole $1,500 from us. We purchased $1,500 worth of insulation in March of 2024. They kept delaying shipment and finally stated they could not fulfill the order, but they "had another company that could" for an extra $500 plus we would have to unload the truck ourselves. We asked for a refund since they could not fulfill our order but they never gave us our money back.

We attempted a chargeback on our credit card only to find out that they have a clause in their contract that you can't charge back an order more than 60 days after it was placed. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. They are deliberately and purposely stealing people's money. Avoid at all costs.

2 months to get half my insulation

I ordered eight bags of insulation in May. Four bags arrived a month later after I called twice to follow up and I have yet to received the other four. I’ve asked for a refund. Every time I called customer service they would just tell me that a sales rep would call me back. The sales rep never called me back and when I called sales they were always busy. I would get emails saying they were contacting the supplier but there was never any follow up. I will not use this company or their other branches ever again.

BE AWARE Nothing is IN Stock - WAIT TIMES MONTHS OUT

Sales team cancelled the order because of conflicting delivery times. The order was placed when all products were showing online "in stock" however, nothing is ever in stock and the wait time was months out . . . . I told the girl FROM TEXAS not going to work as I am leaving and it took her two weeks to cancel the order and then it takes another 7-14 days for the company to process the refund. WHAT!!!!! they like to use your money for whatever purposes. Then when you call the Customer service - you cannot understand a word they say . . . . accent is very heavy either from India/Pakistan. So then you are in limbo until they issue a refund - some have good experiences me it was stressful and not good - still waiting for REFUND. Timeline - order 4-10 cancelled by me (written) 4-15 and 4-22 (finally company cancelled order) refund . . . . . . .still waiting

Unfortunately we are unable to find you on our system or your order. Would you mind emailing info@insulation4us.com with your order number so we can locate your order. If a refund was due it should have been processed within 5 working days of your order being cancelled.

We are not sure what you mean about conflicting delivery times as typically deliveries are relatively flexible but in some regions we would only have trucks in your area maybe once per week or once every 2 weeks if you are far from our depot.

Bought about 1,000 sq ft of insulation…

Bought about 1,000 sq ft of insulation rolls for the attic. No updates after initial acknowledgement of the order. I asked online about 10 days later and was told I would get an update. I didn't so I asked again in 15 days. No update so I cancelled the order. I was then told they were out of stock. They took my payment immediately.

GREAT COMPANY!!

I needed insulation for my basement and was getting gouged. I4US had what i needed for a fraction of the cost and delivered it to my home for a song. Representative Patricia was amazing and kept me informed throughout.

Can't recommend Insulation4US highly enough !
