Support 5 star for new agents
I have throughly enjoyed my journey so far with JLT. Great training, but have to shout Kirsty and Kate - for expert training support and also sense checking my first booking which was a 10k holiday (so I knew I had to get it right for my client). These two have shown the JLT values, of support and passion for travel. Appreciate you both massively and I am so glad I joined the JLT group to develop my passion into a business
The JLT Group
After being with a different consortium for almost 3yrs, I decided to join The JLT Group and after only about 5weeks, I can already see the difference in night and day.
The training exceeded expectations as each section was reviewed and marked by a real human and feedback given. I made my first booking using TopDog (a system I've never used before) and as daunting as it seemed, it actually wasn't too bad. The Core Team are always on hand to help with any struggles and questions you may face.
The JLT Group have been brilliant so far and I look forward to my journey ahead.
I enjoyed my time with JLT.. till I decided to leave
I enjoyed my time with JLT. I originally came from InteleTravel, and JLT really helped put me on the right path. They supported me in establishing my business, provided solid foundational training, and I started to see a real increase in bookings. There are plenty of suppliers to work with and lots of opportunities to learn and grow.
This remained the case until I decided to leave. My decision wasn’t personal — it was based on the increase in fees, the introduction of the TopDog system, and the opportunity to join a local company that could help me grow much faster in my area. That move has paid off.
However, since leaving, communication has been disappointing. Emails often go unanswered, which doesn’t feel very professional and unfortunately reflects back on me. I’m still waiting for a reply to a question I asked in December, yet when a balance became due, a response arrived immediately. That contrast was frustrating.
I also found the system for working out fees and commission a bit complicated at times. I was never fully confident about what I would actually earn from each booking. At points, it felt like the leadership team were overwhelmed, and support messages would go unanswered. It gave the impression that JLT was growing faster than it could comfortably manage.
Overall, I had a positive experience while I was with JLT, and they genuinely helped me get started in the industry. But once you leave, the level of support drops significantly, which is a shame because my decision to move on was purely about growth and opportunity, not dissatisfaction.

The training has been very in-depth, which has given so much in-site to the travel industry & how I’d be running my own travel business.
The group is always evolving & improving which is great to see and be part of.

Without Kirsty the last few weeks I can’t express into words how she has lifted my spirits and helps inspire where I want to go and what I want to do with my business - just by being herself and generally being an amazing, warm, well-being support and un-appointed mentor and counsellor!. Matt is amazing and is never not there to help; I’m not sure where he find his hours to commit to what he does for us agents, but he does. Steph too is amazing - she is always on the end of an email and despite knowing she’s often snowed under, she never fails to come back with answers quickly - and it won’t just be me who pesters! Everyone has a genuine interest in helping with development and growth and although we can’t be experts in everything, the team at JLT have been a major support and they are my experts who never fail.
People 100% buy and work with personable people they connect with and Kirsty has 100% been my person with all her support. With the support of the JLT team I’m excited for the future of my business and a huge warm thank you from me
6 months update
Six months on since my last review, and I can honestly say things have only continued to improve. The systems are stronger, processes are smoother, and the level of support keeps expanding. You can clearly see that JLT is evolving in the right direction.
I also wanted to address a few negative comments I’ve seen, simply to give potential new agents a fair and honest picture.
Firstly, there are no hidden fees. Everything is clearly outlined from the beginning. If someone chooses not to read what’s provided to them, that’s not a reflection of the business.
Another claim I’ve seen is that only successful agents receive support. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Whether you’re a brand new agent or someone who’s been with JLT for two years, everyone receives the same opportunities, the same access to FAM trips, and the same level of support.
The only difference I’ve personally noticed between a very new agent and a more experienced one is how support is sometimes delivered. If you’re brand new and ask a question in the group, you may occasionally be guided to email support instead. This isn’t support being withheld it’s to ensure you get a more detailed, structured explanation, as the group chats can be overwhelming and aren’t always the best place for in depth guidance.
That one to one support ensures new agents properly understand processes, rather than receiving rushed or fragmented replies in busy chats.
On top of this, the amount of tools we’re given for under £90 per month is honestly incredible. We have access to:
• Multi-billion-pound suppliers
• Fully managed booking platforms
• Hotel pages and step-by-step guidance sheets
• Wellbeing support and business support
• 1-to-1 calls when needed
• Industry-changing booking systems that ensure and guarantee best price
• Auto-generated emails
• Auto-generated data and tailored advice sent back to the agent
All of this is included not add-ons or upsells.
Another huge positive is the flexibility we’re given. We have the ability to adjust prices based on our commission, allowing us to run our businesses in a way that works for us while remaining competitive.
A big game changer for me has been the commission structure and payment process. Once your client has paid and you assign the payment to the relevant supplier, you’re ready to claim your commission, which is usually paid out within a week or so. That level of cash flow and transparency makes a massive difference when running your own business.
And although we’re running our own businesses, the team behind the scenes are the real ones keeping us on our feet. The support doesn’t feel distant it feels involved.
When you first join, they fully understand how overwhelming it can be. You’re placed into a smaller onboarding group with one of the team experts Matt who genuinely helps, guides, and supports you, gradually easing you into the fast-paced travel industry rather than throwing you in at the deep end.
So when I see comments saying support or services are lacking, I genuinely struggle to understand that viewpoint.
Support is absolutely not lacking. We have multiple support team members active in WhatsApp groups, often out of hours, and I’ve personally seen agents being helped late at night, even around midnight.
I wanted to share this update purely to help anyone who’s undecided. If your goal is to build a real travel business, focus on selling travel rather than recruiting, and have genuine systems, flexibility, and support behind you, this has been the right decision for me and six months later, I’m even more confident in that choice.
Supportive, friendly, and genuinely community-focused
I’ve had a really positive experience with JLT Group so far. The staff are incredibly supportive, friendly, and approachable, which makes a huge difference, it genuinely feels like you’re part of a community rather than just a sales network.
What I’ve especially appreciated is that it’s not all “sales, sales, sales.” There’s a strong focus on support, learning, and connection, with regular webinars featuring suppliers, helpful training sessions, and agent check-ins that make you feel valued and supported rather than pressured.
The ongoing guidance across all areas - from compliance to day-to-day support - has been clear and reassuring, and the team are always happy to take the time to explain things properly. Overall, JLT Group offer a really well-rounded, supportive environment, and I’d happily recommend them to others in the industry.
Becoming a travel agent with the JLT Group has genuinely changed my life and my business at Shane’s Holiday Dreams.
Before joining JLT, I was with a different company and experienced a completely different setup. While that journey gave me experience, it wasn’t until I joined the JLT Group that I truly understood what real support, structure, and belief look like.
I’ve now been with JLT for three months. The first month was dedicated to training, which gave me a strong foundation before moving into the probation period which were to this date the bookings are just shy of 24k and couldn't of done it with out the support of the core team, where the support continued every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the support I’ve received from the JLT Group since starting as an independent travel agent. The onboarding, training and ongoing support have been excellent from day one.
A real standout for me has been Matt’s new agent support group. Working through real problems together, sharing experiences and seeing the obstacles other agents come across has been incredibly valuable. It gives you insight into situations you may not have faced yet and helps you feel far more prepared and confident moving forward.
The support is mainly WhatsApp-based, which makes it incredibly quick and accessible. Questions are answered fast, the team are always approachable, and you never feel like you’re waiting around for help when you need it.
As someone building my own brand with Lilfari Travel, having this level of support and community behind me has made a huge difference. I’d highly recommend the JLT Group to anyone considering becoming an independent travel agent.
A first class travel company
From the minute I started my training with the JLT Group to now, 6 months down the line, has been nothing short of amazing. I have loved the detailed training, the support from other co-workers but most of all the way this company go above and beyond to help every single agent. The support is second to none. Any problems I have encountered on my own bookings have been dealt with in a way that leaves me feeling I am never on my own. The environment here is so warm and inviting. The core team such as Matt, Steph and Kate are very supportive to all agents and other agents support aswell. The training is very in-depth. I have been part of other providers but The JLT Group is in my opinion the best. I have been apart of this group since June. Keep up the great work.
Best decision I made
I spent 6months at a different host company and was ready for a change, what they had to offer wasn't working for me in terms of flexibility and opportunity and I thought, if this is all the travel industry has to offer then maybe this isn't a career for me. I spent some time researching other companies and had a call with Janine to understand more about what the business had to offer and was immediately sold on the concept. Your own business, no trying to recruit, opportunity to work woth 100s of suppliers and create something completely personal at my own pace.
The training is thorough and you have to be signed off throughout to ensure your knowledge which was reassuring. You get to demo the booking platform which is great with many suppliers integrated which makes things so easy.
Once training is complete the support continues with a new starter chat lead by Matt who is so helpful and always on hand to answer questions. The group is amazing, everyone chips in to support each other. You can book in one to ones and have weekly catch ups. Everything JLT puts in place is to support and ensure success for everyone.
Even once initial training is complete there are constantly more things being added, webinars, social media training and more, there is always more to learn.
I'm 3 months in and hit £30k worth of bookings. You have to invest in yourself and your business to succeed but you can do it at your own pace, there is no pressure. Thanks to everyone in the JLT team for giving me the experience I wanted from the start and helping me start my business.

I’ve been with the JLT Group for 15 months now, and I joined with absolutely no travel experience. The training has been brilliant, but the support is what truly makes the difference.
You’re never left on your own. Everyone is willing to help, share, and cheer you on. It feels less like a consortium and more like a group of genuine friends who want each other to succeed.

The training is incredibly in-depth and engaging, with constant support both during and after. The team is super friendly and always willing to help — no task is too big or too small. It’s clear they truly want the best for you.
Having access to the Social Media Academy has been a huge eye-opener and has really helped me grow. I feel like I’m constantly learning something new.
The supplier database is massive, giving me access to so many travel companies to work with. Plus, being in WhatsApp groups with other agents means there’s always someone to share advice or ideas with.

8 weeks with Matt
After completing the first course, we then went on to do an additional 8 weeks of training with Matt. These extra weeks have been brilliant, they’ve really helped to lock in everything we’ve learned, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed completing all the tasks Matt has set for us. Matt has been fantastic, checking in with us daily and always being there to answer any questions we have. Nothing is ever too big or too small for him. Honestly, the whole core team have been amazing and always available to help and support us whenever we need it.
