Jonoknife Avis 

I saw my first Jonoknife in a shop window when the shop was shut and went back the following morning to buy the walnut XL knife and bread board for my mother's 85th birthday. She has severe essential tremor and struggles to cut bread - now she and my 86 year old father have a competition to see who can cut the thinnest slice of sourdough. This is an amazing knife that is so fine it cuts even the toughest crust easily. I am buying more for Christmas...

I bought a left-handed Jono knife at the BBC good food show having tried it out. I have a muscle disease and this knife makes it super easy to cut bread with minimal effort. Also makes it really easy to cut it straight which makes my husband very happy ha ha ha. This knife was handmade in Britain using steel from Sheffield. I think it was really good value at £27 and it’s lovely to support local small business. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I’ve just bought this knife on the recommendations of a friend.
It is brilliant. I make my own bread and have never been able to slice fresh bread evenly without it crumbling ….with this knife I can.
I’m left handed and so was able to buy a left handed version….how cool is that!

Superb customer service. Such helpful staff, I love my Jono bread knife. I bought it quite a few years ago but recently had a problem with the blade. The customer service team were so accommodating and sent me a completely new knife. Faultless service.

It's a great product. Sourdough can be difficult to cut, but this knife goes through it like a breeze, it's brilliant. The advice given on how to keep the blade clean is so useful and helpful. Can't fault them at all.

I discovered the JonoKnife via a Facebook group, Sourdough UK, and was impressed by the website first of all. Ordering and payment were simple, flawless. Communications by the seller were clear and timely. The knife arrived in about three days (UK to UK) and was packaged both securely and conveniently, allowing it to fit through my letterbox - always a great thing. The knife itself is beautifully made and incredibly sharp (mind your fingers!) and since it’s arrival is the only bread knife I’ve used. Perfect for anyone who bakes, or eats, freshly baked bread of any kind. Highly recommended.

Was gifted a Jono knife 3 years ago and it’s still going strong. I did email about sharpening the blade and was advised to use the anysharp knife sharpener with very clear precise instructions. If you buy a Jono you will never look back! Excellent price for an excellent knife. 100% recommend.

Excellent customer service, quick response to email sent to ask about replacement blade and where to get one, mine had broken. Sent the team photos and size of the blade etc as requested Imagine my surprise when a brand new knife was delivered within a few days, I really couldn't believe it. Very happy customer. Cant recommend this wondeful company enough. My Granddad recieved the knife today after having a blade replacement and is over joyed he can cut bread again with it. A massive thankyou for all your help and service

I spent a long time researching different bread slicers/knives and this one had the best reviews. This was a gift for my mum, she managed to perfect her bread cutting by the second slice. A well made, fantastic product.

I bought 2 Jono knives at the Royal Highland Show last year for my 2 sons. I gave them as birthday presents in December and January and they both absolutely love them. I have just ordered one for a good friend who loves her sourdough. These knives are very special so I’m hoping she will think so too.

Just received a large jonoknife and board in walnut.

The knife is as good as all these reviews suggest. I bake sourdough and other crusty loaves and often struggled to get through the dark chewy crusts without squashing the loaf or wrestling with the knife in frustration (and I’m talking of using a top of the range Wusthof). It can take far longer than cutting a slice should.
The jonoknife makes light work of it all, even the thick loaf base, and I have been able to cut slices of a thinness I have never dreamed possible with sourdough. Sourdough sandwiches that aren’t doorstops are now possible!
And to emphasise how good the knife is, I should mention that I have no left hand, only a wrist stump, so my being able to keep the loaf in place is testimony to how easily the blade goes through the loaf.
The board is very nicely made too with a smartly designed ‘keep’ for the knife. I like the cutting groove too, which helps to keep the blade from cutting the wood as it cuts the bottom crust. My only caveat is that the board is not very wide and the keep section also limits the space a little and this is a little less than perfect for the very large loaves I make. But most users won’t find this a problem.

Awesome Knife and board. When I changed my mind and decided after making the order I also wanted the board Jonathan was most helpful on the phone and refunded me the difference between the individual items and the combined set.

It’s a great Knife for cutting even slices of homemade sourdough. I have and electric slicer and some expensive bread knives and this is now my go to.

I have bought these excellent bread knives and boards for a few years now and recommended them whenever I can. I don’t do reviews but I recently messed up totally by buying a right handed knife and board as a gift last November. I did not deliver the gift until last week sadly the recipient was left handed! To my surprise Jonjo let me return it still unused in its original packaging and then sent a left handed pair direct to my friends all done with courtesy and complete kindness. Thank you.

I bought a couple of knives from you at Burghley last year. I just loved your product, and I am so pleased that the friends and family I bought them for also love them as much as I do. They are the talk of the table at dinner parties. I will also be buying more for presents this christmas as they were such a hit. One friend who receive theirs for christmas from me last year loved it so much they taught themselves how to make bread just so they could use the knife. Its simply brilliant.

Mistakenly bought a Right hand version of the Jonoknife, Polly was so kind and helped me post it back and receive the Left hand version. We tested it on a homemade bread loaf this weekend and all were amazed at how it cuts with no effort! Super sharp and we will look after it. Well done

I needed to exchange a Bread Knife purchased for a left handed model as a Xmas Gift. Jonathan was only to happy to assist. I would certainly recommend both the product and the customer service both 5 Star.

What an excellent knife. I must admit I was a bit skeptical when my wife asked for one as a gift, but I am truly convinced now after using it.

It works brilliantly, paricularly noticable with harder breads that other knifes really struggle with.

The bread knife is utterly brilliant. I'm tempted to say it's the best thing since sliced bread.
