I would like to thank the supervisor by the name Carmen if not mistakenly written, he created the best experience for my daughter's holiday club. My daughter enjoyed all activities presented daily she coildnt wait to be at school daily. I wish we hadnt booked off our holidays so she can continue for the rest of her holiday with JAG. Job well done Carmen for making the best moments for my daughter. Looking forward to be with you during the October break.

My daughter had a great time at the Copperbox arena club, made friends and is keen to go back again. However, they were supposed to go swimming every day, they didn’t go once. They also didn’t do any of the proposed activities - “The children got creative with seashells, crafted magical pieces from sand, and designed their own mini golf courses for exciting rounds of play!” None of these things happened. They went to the playground and played games of Tag from what I can work out. She loved making the Teddy Mountain toy, but everything else that was mentioned in the emails didn’t happen which is a shame and also quite strange. The lack of swimming in a very hot week was a real let down. As was the complete lack of communication from JAG about this. I emailed them twice and have had no response.

My girls absolutely loved holiday club this year. I juggles with the idea of keeping them home while I worked, after a week of that, I thought better of it. After a last minute booking via the easy to use booking site, I was able to book them both in to our local leisure centre holiday club, it including swimming so a real bonus. At drop off my youngest was tearful and a bit scared but the staff were super with her and didn't make too much of a fuss in front of the other children which I liked. I left a bit on edge, but at pick up (you call the telephone no. and they bring the children to you). Wow! I wasn't expecting to find them in such great moods, both girls didn't want to come home with me after the first day, they couldn't get their words out quick enough to explain all the exciting activities they'd done that day. They'd said it was the best holiday club they'd been too and we've used a few. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't need to go back this summer. This is now our permanent holiday club, I won't use another based on the experience we had. Staff members Lucy and Ellis get a shout out, the girls talk about them both with fondness, thank you for giving my girls some summer memories to last. See you in October.

From what my daughter told me, she made only 2 activities from the timetable provided to me: swimming and dodgball. No brain booster, no shell photo frame, creative inventors,
No power team or guess the nutrient..
Just babysitting mainly. Luckily my daughter is very friendly and manage to make lots of friends, but dissapointed with the team because the timetable was made only to attract people.

My son has attended JAG every holiday since last summer, and has enjoyed every moment. He loves the staff at St Paul’s, and now he attends Evendons and loves the staff there. Mostly James. Makes him laugh.
Team on site at Evendons are doing a great job on there first week running. Can’t wait for the stories my son comes back with for the rest of the summer.

My daughter said that apart from the really fun water fight in the afternoon, the only other things for her age (10) really were drawing/a couple of crafts and a few board games and it was quite boring for a whole day, so she doesn’t want to go again. It was just like an extended after school club rather than new fun activities. Also some of the games had bits missing or were in the wrong box, which would be expected after a while in the holidays but on the second day seemed a bit early. You would have thought they would be checked and stocked up before the holidays started but perhaps they weren’t. She said there was more stuff for younger children, such as Barbies so the infants would have enjoyed it more than the juniors. She attended last year and there was a lot more on offer then and even the resources at after school club this year has been less than in the past e.g. running out of paper and not being able to go outside sometimes because staff don’t know where the key is or they aren’t sure whether you are allowed out.

My kids had a very good day at the Camberwell Leisure centre venue, as they liked to ho to the library and to the little Camberwell Green playgroynd. It was a small group of 11 kids and that made easily the kids to get know each other and build a friendship.
However, as parent who sent very often the kids to different holyday camp, I must say I wasn't impress with the location set, neither with the welcome to the kids in the morning.
When we arrived around 9 am at the venue, the room was empty (and quite small) the other kids were sitting on the floor to have their snack and y kids have been told to join the rest to eat the snack quickly because hey were about to go out.
I asked for the plan for the day and both the tutors told me that there was not a specific plan, but the kids were playing board games, doing some aren't and craft ( not sure what) and social time.
I asked if they could use the smimming pool as part of the activity for the day, but they said it was not in use and eventually next week they start to use it.
Well, I am not impressed with the organisation in Camberwell venue because it is very poor of resources, no great communication with the parents and the kids, very low standard compared to the price and the activities promoted on the leaflet.
The tutors didn't even introduced themselves to the kids and my son told me that one of them had a rude attitude towards the kids.
I hope for the next half term in October you will be able to set a better venue in Camberwell as well as a clear program of the activities running daily and more motiveted staff. This is how other holyday camp providers (you competitors) do.
Kind regards

My child was subject to archaic method of punishment for climbing tree when on park trip - after being told off for the climbing the tree, she was later made to sit alone, in the corner to eat her lunch. Shocking and appalling. I have made the company aware of this and the response has been brief and ineffectual

Bad experience with SEN provision
I was keen to try Jag at OLM Muswell Hill because that is the school my son attends. He is autistic, and usually doesn’t attend any holiday scheme as I am quite anxious he might not get the attention he needs. This year he’s doing well so I thought he could manage a couple of days and actually maybe have fun (lots of children he knows there). I booked two days over the May half term and then contacted the SEND dept at Jag. They set up a virtual meeting to go through his needs etc. They assured me they would make the staff aware of everything and also set up some provisions for him. Also, someone from the head office would come to assess the need for a one to one support for the future. We agreed that twofull days might be too much and decided to do two half days instead, and I would get a partial refund. I was very pleased!
Well, my son went as agreed, the staff was not aware, no provisions in place, no one came to assess, and no refund.
I emailed straight away and no reply, chased after a week and no reply.
Appalling.

Whilst my children enjoyed their time, they were disappointed not to have completed a lot of the activities that were advertised as part of the ‘all the fun of the fair’ theme - for example playing with water / water pistols.

Réponse de Junior Adventures Group UK
None of the "Fun of the Fair" activities advertised were offered to the children at Crystal Palace. When questioned about these activities, the two members of staff had no idea about these. The level of engagement the children had throughout the day was poor and no effort at all was made to take the children outside. As with another reviewer, whenever I went to collect my child, the staff were on their phones. We will not be returning

JAG sent me an accident report via email after hours of the incident happened to my child. It was afternoon I was in office and completely freaked as the report said serious and it was the head bumping onto the floor. JAG’s lines have been busy when I tried to call so I rang the leisure centre where the holiday camp was held. Luckily the centre staff there helped me find the JAG crew who said my child wasn't that bad as described in the report, normal despite the incident and the afternoon despite the incident happened in the morning. They also added they mark serious as it was head which got hurt.

Réponse de Junior Adventures Group UK
Every time I popped in to bring my son or collect him, the people in charge of the children where sitting staring at their phone. Not engaging with children.
My son attended the crystal palace venue.

The experience we were sold on JAG's website of interactive and engaging activities where 'no two days are the same' definitely didn't match the reality. My kids said they were confined to a room all day, sat at tables making loom bands. Not much variation here. This was set to the backdrop of kids, who understandbly might have been under stimulated, screaming and running around, and in some cases causing trouble with other kids. Basically, there seems to have been zero structure.
To round things off, the staff didn't seem to set a particularly good example by ordering fast food and eating it in front of the kids, some of whom didn't have much themselves.
We had originally booked for three days but didn't bother sending our kids in for the next two days. They didn't want to go, and TBH we didn't want to send them in to be sat in a room all day when they could do that at home - for free I might add.
Very disappointed.

This was the best decision I made for my boys over the Easter break. It was their first time there and they loved going everyday, even had to add an extra day because they really enjoyed it. Staff members were professional, they engaged well with my children even on the first day and made them feel welcome. The last day was difficult because the boys were having so much fun and were not ready to leave when I went to pick them up. Just shows how much the club had engaging activities for kids to not want to miss out. Thank you so much JAG team for the amazing work you're doing.
