Drank this coffee for years now it’s absolutely awful since they changed it certainly won’t be buying it again

The new kenco rich coffee is not anything like it was before the recipe changed. It does not resemble a rich flavour at all. It is rubbish. Unless it goes back to the original recipe, I WILL NOT be buying anymore. Well done!

I can accept thr shrinkflation with the 200g jar being replaced by a 190g jar at the same price, however, the powdery residue is disgusting and totally destroys the pleasure of drinking this brand.
I have drunk Kenco Rich coffee for over 10 years but I am now looking for another brand to replace this. To be honest, I now rate Kenco Rich lower than some of the own brand coffees offered by budget supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi.

Bad move changing the formula of your coffee.
It is now undrinkable.
Tastes foul, does not dissolve properly and leaves a horrible brown sludge in the bottom or your cup and around the sides.
Guess I won't be buying kenco anymore.
A lot of well known brands are changing their formula to keep costs down, yet increasing the prices or reducing the size to the buyers.
I honestly think that these companies, think we are daft and will not notice. Well we do!

Absolutely disgusting new kenco smooth been drinking this for years now I can’t even drink it. What sludge it leaves in my cups I can’t imagine what it’s doing to my teeth and insides 🤮 why change something that was a lovely cup of coffee to pure shite! Now have to find an alternative coffee. Please kenco go back to how it used to be! Sales will plummet !!!

Been using Kenko Smooth for 15 years of more, its changed and leaves a residue at the bottom of the cup, gritty taste and flavour, disappointed

Subject: Disappointment regarding recent recipe and size changes to Kenco Rich

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent changes made to Kenco Rich instant coffee. As a loyal, long-time customer (10 years plus), I was incredibly disappointed to find that the product has undergone a noticeable recipe change without clear warning on the front packaging.
The new formula, which now includes finely ground coffee beans, leaves a gritty, dark sludge at the bottom of the mug. More importantly, the rich, full-bodied flavour that I always relied on has been replaced by a bitter, burnt taste.
To make matters worse, I noticed that the jar has been downsized from 200g to 190g while the price at the shelf has gone up.
I feel that Kenco has completely alienated its core customer base with these decisions. I have already begun looking for an alternative brand, but I wanted to reach out directly so your management team is fully aware of why you are losing a dedicated customer.

Horrible taste and sludge now the signature feature of the once great instant! They could have gotten away with just reducing the jar size but this will bomb. Another modern ‘improvement’ ‘bye Kenco

Very disappointed from the new Kenco coffee ☕️ that is released recently and what makes it worse is the fact tha we couldn't find the original one at any of our local supermarkets !! Only on line now and i hope they don't stop producing of the (original smoth KENCO) !?
Although the new jar and packaging looks better and easier to close it up, that's not the reason why so many people like us buy it !!
Please Kenco, keep original smoth recipe on the supply chains next to the new ones and let your customers decide which one they want to buy !!

Recipe changed in new har of Smooth Kenco. Leaving horrible residue around rim and in bottom of cup. When I cant find old shape bottle anymore I will stop buying Kenco. Dowe Egberts slightly more expensive but no sediment in cup, currently use it at work and that's what I will start buying for home.

I have been a very long time kenco coffee drinker.... 6 to 10 mugs a day ....

But whatever kenco have done to their instant coffee they need to reverse these changes before they have no customers left and dismiss the person who came up with this so called new recipe.... its disgusting and the muck it leaves at ghe bottom of the mug makes me want to puke ..... im actively looking for a new brand .... kenco you have lost this customer .....

Rebrand of kenco rich is terrible, cannot finish a cup anymore. I used to love this coffee but now have to change brands as it is horrible

Been a kenco smooth drinker for well years and years not any more the new one is disgusting burnt taste amd leave horrible black rings around top of cup amd a thick black sludge at bottom of cup unable to drink jar in bin and will never buy again .

I have been drinking kenco rich for many years and I loved it. I am disgusted at the taste and experience with you new blend. You can't even call it coffee. Kenco rich was my one luxury and you've taken it away. I will never buy Kenco again.

What in earth happened to my favourite Kenco instant coffee!! It tastes absolutely horrendous. Bottom of cup is covered black horrid stuff and have to rince cup afterwards. Mouth feels bad afterwards. Have to find new coffee and fast. Really disappointed ☹️
Update, my husband took it to work and no one there liked it. They bin it.

When companies abuse their customers like this they can only deserve to go under. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
The rebrand was not only an insulting shrinkflation, it changed the recipe to undrinkable. As others have mentioned, it doesn't dissolve properly, leaves residue in the cup and tastes bad. So Kenco, do tell us why you have so little self respect and no respect at all for your customers to pull this kind of crap?

You can 'improve' your recent downgrade of Kenko coffee by returning it to it's original formula.

The new formula tastes, bitter, cheap and disatisfying.

Time to change brands.

Kenco Rich following its recent formula overhaul is nowhere as good. The powdery content is noticeable not only to the tongue but leave a sludge like deposit in the mug. I suggest they look at what happened when Coca-Cola , Nesquik Milkshake,Tropica, not to mention Cadbury's dark chocolate (oily with palm oil) all changed a successful product. I've left Cadburys and now leaving Kenco. It costs a company 5 time more to get new customers than keeping existing ones, still it's their business.
