Do not purchase a keychron keyboard
Do not purchase a keychron keyboard, the bluetooth connectivity matches that of a block of cheese.
They break their own warranty and ignore UK consumer law
I bought a keyboard in March 2025 and an issue with the LED's in April 2026. I'd never used the LED feature before this point so contacted to ask about getting a replacement PCB as it's still under warranty. It took about two weeks to even get a response after multiple chases and all it said was 'your item is out of warranty, you can order a replacement PCB to fix the issue'. I replied and attached their own warranty policy which shows it is 24 months, but once again I got a one sentence reply that says 'our warranty is 12 months, you can check the website to confirm.'
That was 2 weeks ago, they have since ignored every attempt to continue the conversation. I don't understand how they can so blatantly ignore their own warranty let alone UK consumer law, but it's easily the most shocking customer service I've ever received. Such a shame because I genuinely like their products and have always talked them up to other people. Now I'm in the process of filing with small claims court and have let them know with a letter before action but have no expectation that they will respond.
Avoid at all costs. If you order through a verified reseller you have no warranty, if you go through them directly they ignore it anyway.

I totally 100% agree with countless users that keychron is trash. After spending several hours trying to get to customizing the keyboard and mouse trying every single thing I can think of, I always got as far as the online setup always going to the firmware update for the receiver never alowwing me to go any further to customize. What’s strange is it would show me that I already had the latest firmware and would not let me go any further and kept looping to that particular firmware page. What’s entirely pathetic is that they themselves state not to upgrade if the keyboard is working fine which it was and wasn’t. It was working fine as just a typical keyboard and mouse but customizing was impossible to get to. These issues as well as the countless reports of poor to non existent customer service should turn anyone off to their products. By far the worst keyboard I ever experienced. Cheap 35 dollar keyboards are even worth more than this manufacturer’s offerings, atleast they work. Out of the box wouldn’t even work properly. Worst company evr
K2 V2 - Constant issues, poor support
Bought a K2 V2. Initially so happy, felt like a great keyboard but had nothing but constant bluetooth drops forcing a re-pair each time. Eventually, it's just stopped working altogether.
Tried to get support from Keychron, they just claimed they didn't need to help and directed me to the seller. Poor attitude and terrible tech.
Strongly recommend against purchasing anything from them.
Great keyboard with one minor flaw
I bought my Keychron board (wired 75% Q1 QMK) via Best Buy, rather than directly. It is outstandingly well made. If feels durable and sounds great.
My only semi-beef is how difficult switch removal is. That is partly due to the high quality materials: the mounting board is aluminum, rather than plastic, and Gateron switches grip boards tightly. As is often the case with mx boards, however, the included switch remover is horribly inadequate.
Honestly don't buy from here
Honestly don't buy from here - they look great and I was really pleased with my order until it broke within a few months. When it broke I contacted them multiple times to get them to reply, they said they would send me a piece to fix it myself...or they would send me a new shell but I needed to pay £10...I paid the £10 and it hasn't arrived. They haven't replied to me from a month ago on this issue.
If you get a keyboard with no issues fine but if you have issues don't expect a response from them without a fight.
Item not received and lied to paypal
Item was listed as a uk company which it’s not, item was eventually shipped from abroad resulting in customs charges.
The delivery was then left at a different property to mine, in the claim on PayPal they told PayPal I said to them I received it, the delivery photo isn’t my address or location but apparently actually receiving the items aren’t guaranteed according to them.
Misleading Product Listing, Incorrect Delivery, and Unacceptable Customer Service
I ordered a keyboard through the German Keychron website (keychron.de) that was clearly presented as an ISO layout on the product page. The product preview and even the official order confirmation stated that it was an ISO version. However, I received a Japanese JIS keyboard, which is significantly different in layout and usability.
After contacting customer support and providing a screenshot of the product page from the day of purchase, I initially received no response for an extended period. Later, a support representative even accused me of having “photoshopped” the screenshot. This accusation was completely unfounded, unprofessional, and disrespectful.
During further communication, Keychron confirmed that:
an error existed on the German website,
multiple similar cases had occurred,
the product listing has since been corrected,
Japanese keyboards are no longer sold on the German website.
Despite these acknowledgements, Keychron Germany continues to refuse to cover the return shipping costs. Instead, I am expected to return the keyboard to China at my own expense, even though the purchase was made via the German website and is subject to German consumer law. As a so-called solution, only a partial refund (10%) and a set of keycaps were offered, which does not resolve the underlying issue.
This is especially disappointing because I previously purchased another Keychron keyboard via Amazon and was very satisfied with the product quality. That makes the handling of this case even harder to understand.
Conclusion:
Good product quality, but misleading product presentation, poor communication, and lack of responsibility when issues arise. I currently cannot recommend purchasing through the Keychron Germany website.
Do Not Honor Warranty
So i have had my keyboard for a few years and bought it directly from the UK website including accessories,
My Q6 QMK ISO (Knob version) developed an issue with the LED's no longer working just before the warranty was up and i sent an email via the website and by the time they replied a few months later it was out of warranty and would not allow me to get a replacement under warranty.
So i had to buy a new PCB, I ended up buying 2 for £150, less than 9 months later and both PCB have an issue again with Dead LED's and my emails through the website have now gone unanswered.
Please avoid this company at all costs as there is no quality control and issues go unsolved and ignored.
Build Quality is good, kind of
Bought a K2 HE for few months. The build quality and case are solid. Everything sounds good.
Until it dead after few months, without intensive use, no replugging the usb as I used to have USB mode, and connected consistently to a hub.
Contacted the customer service via email, quite responsive and helpful to me, which might be the lucky part out of tragedy.
Went through couples of emails, and 1 hour of dissemble and photo taking, they offer a PCB replacement.
I am not that kind of lucky with 10 quids offer.
It's not acceptable to have low quality design and a reliable keyboard should be expected with this price tag!!
abysmal support
I succesfully ordered a keyboard, paid, and got an order confirmation. two days later I heard from support, that the keyboard could not be sent to my location, even though the website said it could. I am now, more than a week later still waiting to get my money back.
Do not buy from keychron
Really bad. Do not order a keyboard from this website customer service is non existent. So disappointed for £200.
I got issued a refund after 6 days of waiting for shipping details, the customer service do not respond within 24 hours and when they do they don’t seem to read the questions you ask. I would never buy a Keychron keyboard direct from Keychron if I were you.
Great customer support
Great customer support - very responsive and proactive!
What support? Awful company
Ordered a keyboard and received a mini pressure washer instead! Support is non existent and never reply. I’m now forced to do a chargeback on my credit card to get back the money I’ve spent. This company is just front for a Chinese importer evatost consulting ltd. If you want to buy a Keychron keyboard buy it from a UK company or Amazon so you can return if anything goes wrong. Terrible experience.
Woefully inadequate customer support
I've had problems with my Keychron Q6 Max ever since I received it: keypresses kept repeating. When I contacted Keychron Support, after the usual "update the firmware" and "can you take a video" requests, they then suggested that I replace the PCB with another one they would send out. I reluctantly agreed - I had no intention of modding the keyboard and I certainly didn't want to take it apart, but I was told by Dawn at Keychron Support that there was no problem, that if the replacement PCB didn't fix the issue, I could get a refund.
When the replacement PCB arrived, I removed all the keycaps, switches, and screws, as instructed. Of course, all the stabilisers then fell out. I'm not a technical person. It took me three hours to disassemble the keyboard, change the PCB, and reassemble it, and I almost gave up halfway through. Having done that, the stabilisers are now wonky, and as a result, many of the keys with stabilisers are not sitting properly on the switches. Some keycaps get stuck, and other keycaps are proud above the other keys.
I contacted Keychron Support again to request a replacement or refund. I was offered a €10 refund (!) to go through the whole process of disassembling and reassembling the keyboard again - to which I said no, thank you very much. Ever since, Keychron Support has ignored my repeated emails requesting a replacement or refund.
The sad thing is that apart from the issues I've had with the keyboard, I actually love it; I just wish I got what I paid for: a working keyboard. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Keychron support. I would caution anyone in Europe against buying a Keychron keyboard as it seems the products are shipped from outside the EU, so there is very little recourse if something goes wrong. I'm still writing to Keychron every week in the vain hope that they will reply before my "warranty" (useless as it is) runs out.
Shame on you, Keychron.
Q6 max iso uk
Helpful responsive and knowledgeable customer service. High quality product at a good price for what it is.
Keychron V6 Max - Scam company will try and deny refunds for defective products
Ordered a Keychron V6 Max. The product is advertised as having backlights but solid keycaps. I thought it wasn't a big problem and ordered some shine-through keycaps. The light produced wasn't enough to see the letters/symbols. I bought another set of keycaps that have the keycap being fully transparent to be sure that it wasn't a problem of the first set. The light simply is too weak to illuminate anything. When in full darkness the keys are barely visible and the letters/symbol are just not visible.
I checked their launcher to see if the brightness was set to low and to my disappointment it was instead on maximum.
So, there are only two options:
- The backlights are defective and produce less light than advertised on their product page
- Their product page is deceiving and show a photoshopped picture in which the lights are way stronger than they are
I reached out first trying to understand if there was a way to be sure where the issue was and was greeted with a response that calling arrogant is being generous. They simply copy pasted a marketing sentence that is on their product page: "Double-shot PBT keycaps that are made of durable non-backlight shine-through PBT material with excellent oil resistance and prevent legends from fading."
Note that I also included pictures of the keyboard in the darkness to show the lack of visibility. They clearly didn't even bother to check that.
After that, I bought the second set (SteelSeries PrismCaps) that are shine through on the base, from all four sides, plus the symbol on top. Again, they didn't bother to open the pictures and replied faulting the keycaps of the first set, and by proxy, me.
On top of all that, the keys B and N have started to not register the input. Just noticed in the past few days.
At that point I had enough and asked for a return and refund as I was still in the first 14 days period as per Consumer Rights Act 2015. I also initiated a claim via Paypal - with which I paid for the product. They are now asking that I pay to send back a defective product.
I already had to deal with scummy companies, the last one tried to hold £1000 from me and in the end they had to refund it back. Let's see how it plays out for barely over £100 Keychron, shall we?
I loved the Keyboard- but it stopworking.
I loved the Keyboard. It stopped working after 13 months. I wrote to them, and they just said you could try a new PCB. I wrote back and got no further response. Their keyboards are expensive, and I would expect better service than this. I have had keyboards from many other manufacturers that have lasted many years. I would avoid this company. Their customer service is terrible.
AVOID this company at all costs!!!
Received a keyboard from Keychron which is faulty. I've been trying to ask to return the product for a refund, but keep getting pawed off by the company and told to accept a £10 compensation amount and to fix the keyboard myself if they send me a replacement part. I don't want either of these 2 options, I want to send the product back for a refund. Btw, this is for a faulty product which I paid over £100 for. So not only are their products low quality, their customer service is appalling too. At this rate I am going to have to get my bank involved for a charge back. I have never had such difficulty in trying to return a faulty product before. An absolute shambles of a company and anyone who swears by their products are either paid reviewers or outright liars!
Worst experience possible barely scammers
Worst experience possible. Website says 3 days delivery from UK people, I've ordered it because my keyboard broke and I needed one for work urgently. Took 20 days to receive it, when I did, obviously I already had bought another one because I needed it for work.
Emailed them to return it since it was so long that I don't need it, and after making all the possible games to don't let me return, finally said that I could return it, but not for UK, to Asia. Which I would need to pay more than the keyboard value as return post because they don't pay it.
I will never ever get another keychron keyboard. I didn't get it from Amazon because I wanted to make it right for the company by using their website but that was definitely a mistake. If you want to use keychron use any vendor where the return policy is not as shady. I would even go deeper and call it a scam almost.
