My order was never delivered
My order was never delivered. Tried to contact the company several times by email and also by social media but they have refused to answer. Charged me for the missing order and I’ve now had to unsubscribe to the service. Absolutely awful.
Coffee not as fresh as it should have been.
Ordered a taster pack to try Kiss the Hippo. Coffee that I have tested so far is LOVELY. However, two of the three bags were roasted 22 days before I received them. I think a week at most is the acceptable limit for freshly roasted specialty coffee, and in my experience that's typically what you get here in the UK. If the coffee only reaches me in the fourth week, I have perhaps 2 weeks before it's past its best. I don't like to leave a bad review, but that's just not good enough. Concerned to also see a significant number of negative reviews on here complaining about poor customer service. Looking further, I see that many of their coffees are out of stock, suggesting perhaps some supply issues. This may explain some of the customer service problems. Overall, I can only give a cautious, qualified recommendation at this point, based on the quality of the coffee, but with some worrying concerns about the overall experience.
Refund promised but not delivered
Unreliable - I made an order for something that they claimed was in stock. I received an email saying they didn't have it. I asked for a refund - they told me they have refunded my money but they haven't.
There are lots of good coffee companies, don't give these people your money.

Ordered a coffee grinder from their website. Very prompt delivery. Quality product. Came with free coffee beans, very generous five packets. Would highly recommend. Cheaper than Amazon too and much rather support them than big corp.
Kiss the Hippo is my favorite coffee company!
Kiss the Hippo is my favorite coffee brand, hands down. Whenever I'm in London, it's the only coffee shop I'll go to, and I love visiting their different locations. Each one has a unique vibe that I enjoy exploring while savoring their diverse offerings. I even have their coffee shipped to me in the States or while traveling—it's truly a staple in my life.
My go-to order at their cafes is the flat white, and when ordering online, I always look forward to trying their new Geshas. I'm also a big fan of their Honduras options, which never disappoint. The fact that they roast everything fresh is a huge plus, and I love having such high-quality options to choose from.
I can't recommend Kiss the Hippo enough! <3

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I ordered surprise bags from Too Good to Go and they just don't have the food when you show up at the appointed collection time. I understand predicting surplus food in advance can be tricky but its not on to not cancel these orders in advance. This happened twice. I shall not be returning to Kiss the Hippo given their contempt for their customers.

I ordered coffee from these guys on the 14th Feb and still have not received my order. This is so disappointing as I’ve used them before and had no problems. I’ve sent 4 emails and had no response, now left with no option but to write a bad review.
Kiss the Hippo - Amazing selection of speciality coffees.
I’ve tried a number of speciality coffee roasters for home delivery of single-origin beans, most are good with varying delivery options and varying assortment and availability of coffees.
However, I have now settled on Kissthehippo and buy all my coffee beans from their online site. My reasons are as follows:
1. Much broader selection of coffees and more consistent availability of certain beans - This means I can consistently get the beans that I want.
2. Incredibly fresh, the roast date is consistently very close to the delivery date - This obviously means my coffee stays fresher for longer.
3. Loyalty scheme - I’ve not seen any other roaster offer a loyalty scheme, redeemable against coffee orders and coffee equipment. Kiss the Hippo’s is quite generous too.
4. Rapid and consistent shipping
The only possible drawback is that the free-shipping threshold is quite high at £50, but with 10% discount on 1-kilo of beans and such fresh-roast dates, I have switched to ordering 1kilo on a monthly-ish basis.
If you’ve tried other speciality roasters, or especially if you’re currently using supermarket beans, then give Kiss the Hippo a try – you’ll be impressed !

Took £318, didn’t deliver & wont respond
They have taken £318 for a grinder that was never delivered. They have no phone number and haven’t responded to multiple emails.
I think they may have gone out of business. If they haven’t, they should.
Avoid at all costs.
Lovely Coffee, Crap Customer Service
The coffee is lovely - top notch.
The customer service is, however, nonexistent. No phone number, and they don't respond to emails. They owe me either a bag of coffee or £30 after failing to deliver an item and then ignoring me.
So good!
I've been ordering coffee beans from them for years, so good! Orders always arrive very quickly, too.
