Don’t buy these
Don’t buy these. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE CANADIAN TRYING TO SUPPORT THE CANADIAN “developer” Terrible support. I have had 6 of these among my family and I. They have been good but recently had one fail in the very weak spot at the bottom right. I reached out customer service and said this seems very unusual for a Carbon Fibre Case. They said they will not replace it and gave me a 20% off offer. This was clearly a defect that surfaced and not from damage I caused. The customer service tone was just rude. I tested and older one I had and it broke in the same spot with little effort. Great for being thin, but expensive and if it breaks after 2 months of careful use… Useless.

With enough pressure or force, even the strongest materials can eventually break.

This is a great company. They make truly premium phone accessories made from high quality materials, if you like THIN cases, look no further, these are the thinnest you will find whilst still being remarkable sturdy. They are 50% thinner than the thinnest Mous case, and weigh 60% less! To top it off, they have brilliant customer service, Nick has helped me out with a couple of queries and has always been responsive and proactive in answering and resolving queries.

Midnight black case - great service
Midnight black case arrived via Amazon with some very minor issues. Contacted Latercase with my comments and they did not hesitate to send me a replacement, hand-checked, case. I am based in the UK. That is excellent service! This case is not the cheapest available but it surely is the thinnest and lightest, which is what I wanted. It has a luxuriant feel and seems durable - highly recommended.

Great products and customer service.
The case is really thin which I love and there are 2 times that I got a bubble on the back of the case which is not supposed to happen, I sent a quick email telling them about the issue and they quickly reply with a replacement.
Before buying just know that its a very thin case, if you drop your phone in concrete it'll probably shatter. Their cases are mainly for people who just want a thin case that'll help prevent scratches and add grip.

It's important to note that, as mentioned on our website, Latercase is a 0.6mm ultra-thin case that was not designed with impact protection as the primary focus. Our goal was to create a light case that would improve the aesthetics of your device while keeping it thin enough that you could appreciate the phone's original design as the OEM intended. While the Kevlar aramid fiber material that we use is quite strong and will stand up to scuff marks, scratches, and everyday wear and tear, the form factor and design of the case is not centered around impact resistance like some of the bulkier cases on the market.
Unfortunately, since our case isn't designed specifically with drop protection as the main goal, we don't provide reimbursements for devices that get damaged by user drops. That being said, we've already passed your feedback along to our design team. We don't have any immediate plans of adding an impact-resistant case to our portfolio any time soon, but could be something we explore in the future.

Not worth the hype and great press
After all the great buzz I ordered an iPhone case, glass protector, and more.
Do not recommend at all.
The case is fine.
The glass protector did not install easily (other companies send tools/trays), an issue I have never had before, and when I reached out the response was weak - read the instructions (which I did, and are generic), be careful, and oh yeah here's a discount if I want to buy more.
Not impressed with the product or service.

Sorry to hear that you weren’t satisfied with the advice from our support team regarding the bubbles that appeared after your tempered glass installation. I’d like to clarify and ensure we address your concerns thoroughly.
I see here that you wrote in to our support team wanting to know if there was a way to fix the air bubbles you were seeing, or if you should remove the first piece and re-attempt the installation with the second piece of glass we included in your order. Based on your description, it seems like the bubbles may have been caused by small dust particles trapped between the glass and your screen. Unfortunately, these can create little air pockets that are quite hard to remove without eliminating the dust itself. That’s why we recommended trying again with the second piece of glass included in your order.
To help you ensure a smooth application, we linked our detailed installation instructions, as it sounded like you may not have seen these instructions available prior to installing the first piece of glass. Following those instructions down to a tee will help ensure a flawless application. We also shared specific tips, like installing the glass in a steamy bathroom to reduce airborne dust that could potentially land on your display during the installation. I'm sorry to hear that you felt this advice was basic, but it’s often the small details that make all the difference in situations like this.
Regarding the 25% discount we offered, I want to assure you that it wasn’t meant as a substitute for solving your current issue - that would have indeed been a poor experience. It was intended as an optional goodwill gesture in case you wanted extra pieces of glass as a backup after successfully installing the remaining piece of glass from your order since we know that some users can be hesitant about installing their last piece of glass. Our goal was to create a light case that would improve the aesthetics of your device while keeping it thin enough that you could appreciate the phone's original design as the OEM intended. While the Kevlar material that we use is quite strong and will stand up to scuff marks, scratches, and everyday wear and tear, the form factor and design of the case is not centered around impact resistance, so if you drop the device regularly, then it's possible you'll see damage to the case itself.
As for the fingerprints, every Latercase features our unique polyurethane matte coating, which is designed to:
1) Reduce the visibility of scratches, keeping your case looking sleek, and
2) Enhance grip / improve the overall in-hand feel for daily use.
While most of our users enjoy a largely fingerprint-free experience, the reality is that natural hand oils can vary significantly from person to person. Unfortunately, this means some users may notice fingerprints more than others.
The good news? Latercase is very easy to clean. You can:
- Wipe it down with a damp cloth.
- Wash it with warm water and hand soap.
- Or use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol / disinfectant cleaning wipes.

DO NOT BUY! This case is garbage
This way overpriced case is total garbage. It is not made of carbon fiber as is claimed. Ive dropped it 3 times and every time this caused a chunk of the supposed "carbon fiber" to chip off. The edges leave way to much exposed on all sides, and do not wrap around the front high enough, leaving the glass is way to vulnerable. I did purchase the overpriced add-on "Tempered Glass" protection, but this badly designed addition was impossible to place on the screen without dozens of tiny bubbles. Last night I dropped my new iPhone 16 and because of the total lack of protection, it cracked. The drop should have been a nothing and would have caused zero damage with any other case. Even the cheapest of cases would have protected it better than this over priced scam case.
DO NOT BUY A LATER CASE!

To clarify, our cases are crafted from Kevlar® aramid fiber and a polyurethane matte coating, not carbon fiber. While both are synthetic woven fibers with impressive strength-to-weight ratios, Kevlar® is more flexible and doesn't interfere with wireless signals, ensuring your device maintains its full functionality.
Regarding your point on impact protection, Latercase is a 0.6mm ultra-thin case that is not designed to be a bulky impact-resistant case. Our goal was to improve the look and feel of your device and guard against scuffs, scratches, and everyday wear while keeping the case so thin and lightweight that you barely notice it's there. Our iPhone 16 Pro cases do feature a small raised lip to protect your display when placed face down, but they're not engineered for heavy-duty impact protection. We intentionally avoid the bulk associated with rugged cases to keep your device slim/lightweight, allowing you to enjoy the device the way the OEM intended.
As for the tempered glass, I’m sorry to hear you had trouble during the installation. For future reference, detailed instructions are available on our website to help achieve a bubble-free application. Proper installation can be tricky without following the instructions, especially if dust or debris settles on the screen beforehand (which is the #1 cause of air bubbles after application).
With all of that being said, we don't normally provide free replacement warranties for products that get damaged through usage, but we'll have a support rep reach out to organize a replacement here case and glass here as a gesture of goodwill since you've only had the items for a couple weeks. Expect an email in the next few minutes!
This case is so light but feels so good
This case is so light, not sure if I made the right choice. back panel sits just right and the case covers all aspects of the camera body except lens and flash and IR lens. I cleaned my outer display then installed the front panel, perfect fit and the adhesive strip is firmly in place. Case feels good, grip is good, especially like the power and volume buttons are exposed. No issues using speaker phone. Attactive too. Wireless charging is a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

No actual magsafe compatibility!
I have purchased three generations of cases for my iPhones, but I now have the 16 Pro Max and I won't buy anymore because they do not have magnets embedded into their cases for absolute magsafe compatibility. It's their only flaw, but the biggest flaw a case can have.

Hey David!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. While our cases don't have any magnets built into them, they're thin enough to still be compatible with official Apple MagSafe accessories. For example, your device will still charge through the case when using the Apple MagSafe charger.
With that being said, there's essentially still going to be a thin layer of material (about 0.6mm) in between your device's magnet and the accessory's magnet. As such, the magnetic strength won't be 100% as strong as a bare device. We do, however, offer MagLock Rings sold separately for users who need a bit of extra MagSafe strength in their day-to-day usage (ex: wallets, car mounts, etc). These can be applied to any Latercase, they have an ultra-thin profile available in the same colourways as our cases, and they'll provide a strong attachment to magnetic accessories (even stronger than just MagSafe on its own).
Hope that helps clear things up a bit. In the meantime, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our design team We don't have any immediate plans of embedding magnets into our cases, but could be something we explore in the future!
Deceptive marketing
I bought my 15 year old son a iPhone 15 and put a cheap 5’ drop tested case in it. However I made him buy a better quality case on his own before he could carry the phone out of the house… $600 phone and all. He was so excited to tell me about this carbon fiber case that he had ordered. He paid over $50 so I assumed he had bought a pretty good case. When I saw the case on his phone I was shocked to see how crappy it is. I looked up the site and it blatantly says that it doesn’t protect against drops. This is such a ripoff to market a “carbon fiber” phone in this way. I feel like the marketing of this company is very deceptive and hides in the FAQs that it doesn’t protect the phone.
I have received a request for additional information but the link brings me back to my original post. I would love to provide an update or answer additional questions.

Unlike the cheap bulkier cases that you're referring to which are specifically focused on impact protection, our goal was to create a light case that would improve the aesthetics of your device while keeping it thin enough that you could appreciate the phone's original design as the OEM intended.
While we use Kevlar® aramid fiber (not carbon fiber) - a highly durable material known for its lightweight strength - our case is not engineered with drop protection as the primary focus. Instead, it’s designed to improve the look and feel of your device, guard against scuffs, scratches, and everyday wear while keeping the case so thin and lightweight that you barely notice it's there.
I could understand your frustration if we made false impact-resistant claims on our website, however, we tried to make it as clear as possible that the case isn't designed to be a bulky impact-resistant case. Latercase 4 life
In the last 6 weeks of owning this case I've dropped it hard 3 times (I have a Samsung Z Flip 5), each drop on hard surfaces like tile & concrete. I winced when bending down to pick my phone up and to my surprise each time my phone has been completely unscathed. I've had phone cases so much bulkier than this one that haven't protected my phone nearly as well upon drops. I have no idea how latercase does it or what this phone case is made out of but it 100% works.
There's no phone case as thin as this that ALSO somehow protects all damage from drops.
I'll be a customer of Latercases for a long long time.

The case is exactly as promoted. Slim and minimalist. But… I wasn’t expecting it to be a fingerprint magnet. Bad enough that I put the phone down screen side up as the case side frequently isn’t pretty to look at. Correct that and I’d give it five stars.

Disappointed but nice case
I really like this case and bought it in September. It is everything it was promised to be. The reason I took off 3 star is because it slid off my lap big chunk came out of the edge . I really like the case but was very disappointed on being damaged so easily

I have a crimson case and I love the…
I have a crimson case and I love the colour and I love the texture and feel. I would prefer that it covered more of the edge. I also noted that the case leaves smudges quite easily, which are seen at different angles because of the texture, although they do wipe off with a damp cloth, it does take away slightly from its beauty. As far as protection, it’s minimal. I think the reason they made it of Kevlar is because it’s so thin if it were made out of any other substance, it would easily break. This does make it very easy to attach and remove.
Update: just dropped my iPhone and it landed face down and did no damage, however the case came off one corner a little but it did stay on. Top left corner which is the least supported because the edges are not covered adjacent to that corner. My iPhone is fine.
If you want a nice. slim sleek, minimalist case you might want this one.

It's worth noting that our cases are designed for an easy on/off experience, which can be difficult to find in other aramid cases on the market. Part of the way we achieve this is through specific structural cutouts and the coverage that you see now - it allows for the torsional flexibility needed to remove the case without adding any undue stress or torque during the removal process, which can cause damage as a result.
