I cannot recommend this branch highly enough. The audiologist, Carrie, was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. She worked to fit me back in when I was late arriving and still gave me 100% service. Very impressed. Jackie on reception went above and beyond to assist me with a level of customer service that you rarely find today. Very friendly, polite and happy staff and a very clean office. Highly recommend!

Te Optometrist, Gaz? was excellent. She came over as friendly and competent and correctly diagnosed (and referred me for) a retinal detachment which was successfully treated.

The reception staff were also friendly and efficient.

I've visited the Sutton store several times as my old opticians transferred over but almost every single time I've been disappointed with the mostly friendly but pretty incompetent service. Not sure the staff (excluding opticians) know what they're supposed to be doing. Got wrong information about my child's specialist glasses which I paid a lot of extra money for, wasn't recalled for appointments when I should have been, haven't been contacted about issues relating to my bookings, when I've sent an official complaint, no response was sent, the 'contact us' function on the website doesn't work, plus it's a very expensive opticians. Really so poor, definitely avoid.
Two stars only because most staff are pretty friendly. Can't wait to find a more competent opticians.

Very friendly and efficient staff. I was seen on time. Large choice of frames (too much choice). I only needed glasses for reading/computer screen so chose a cheap frame. I will return to them for my next eye test.

Just had fantastic service from Nicholas Beard, the group manager at Leightons. Friendly, helpful and efficient - what more could you ask!

I visited the hearing specialist for a potential wax removal. Fortunately, there was no wax but she told me to get further investigation from my doctor but gave me some good ideas to remove the blockage beforehand. She was extremely professional, made me totally relax and extremely helpful with what I should do next. Would definitely recommend. The reception staff were really helpful too.

Was very patient as I tried on so many pairs of sunglasses and no pressure to buy on the spot.
Though I walked back in immediately and bought a pair on sunglasses.

The amazing lady helped me fix the hand of my mum's frames. Thank you 😊

A very expenses pair of glasses i brought from leightons got broken i took them back to the shop and asked can they be repaired, the answer was yes for which they charged £48 which i thought was reasonable.
Within a couple of months the glasses broke in the same place as the repair upon taking them back to the shop the manager said they had been sat on which i explained was not the case, if it was i would have admitted it and paid for another repair.
Very poor service & dishonest wouldnt use again.

I have been having eye tests at Leightons for many years and have built a tremendous rapport with the staff who work at the Sutton Branch. I am always warmly greeted and looked after very well. The eye test is extremely comprehensive and thorough and the staff are all lovely.

This was my first time at Leightons. I was a bit concerned as my previous optician was Ridlingtons in Carshalton, I was very happy with them. I needn't have worried, the eye test was extremely thorough. The optician was excellent. I highly recommend them.

My mum has been a customer here for over 40 years. Today they had booked her in for a contact lens review, she waited half an hour only to be told they wouldn't be seeing her today and they couldn't order her new contacts because of an issue with the suppliers. There was no indication of how long she might have to wait or what she is supposed to do in the meantime. The attitude of the receptionist was particularly unhelpful and she didn't even apologise for wasting mum's time when there was no appointment in the first place. I echo the previous feedback, this branch has lost everything that made my mum go back year after year and she is now looking for a new optician. I have no idea what she is supposed to do in the meantime as she doesn't have glasses. Such an awful way to treat a long standing customer.

Credit where credit is due ... after leaving this review over a weekend, I received a phone call from the Store Manager first thing on Monday morning. That, in itself, speaks volumes and I'm now booked in to sort out my glasses. Thank you.

When you've been a customer for about 30 years and one phone call makes you leave a one star review, some might find it harsh. But as I am now actively looking at other opticians, I just feel the company needs to be aware.

It is a Saturday morning and there is something wrong with my glasses - my occupational varifocals. They no longer sit square on my face and I cannot work out why not.

I was hoping I could pop down today - as I've done before - and just get them checked.

The lady who answered the phone was flustered and unhelpful. And what is worse, having said I had a problem, when i said I'd leave it ... she said OK and let me go.

She said they did not have a lab in store so they'd probably have to send them off. Previously, they've tightened arms, re-shaped the frames, and as mine are a type of 'wire' side with it's own tension, they've been able to re-set them - all while i wait. Is this the lab that is no longer in the store or was I not asked the right questions to find out what was wrong, or were they just too busy to care? The lady did seem very distracted, almost as if she had something else on her mind.

Stupidly of me, I only have one pair. So if these break, I've had it.

I see I can get an eye test done locally tomorrow through a competitor. And I am yet to decide what to do.

Finally when I asked if I cannot just pop in, I was told everything is now via appointment - since COVID. Well that's just making it even more difficult to give you my business when I perceive my issue to be pretty urgent.

Hence the one star.

Since writing this - two hours ago - the side of my Silhouette glasses has now snapped off.

Excellent service for my NHS consultation. Thorough eye examination, where I felt like the optician really listened to all my comments and took her time to investigate my concerns, explaining everything to me. I went on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't busy at all. Overall, great experience.

Had earwax removal procedure, which was first class, very professional and the difference in my hearing is very noticeable. Would recommend Leightons Sutton to anyone suffering from the same condition.

Sutton branch not up to the standard considering their prices. Lab put wrong lens in wrong glasses, not a problem with me. Prescriptions were wrong as the optician had been reading my oldest notes, not the previous ones which meant I had to be without & go back yet again. I found the manageress rude & confrontational. Other staff were very helpful & friendly.

I WAS REASSURED THAT THE SLIGHT LOSS OF HEARING HAD NO OBVIOUS PHYSICAL CAUSE AND THAT MY HEARING GENERALLY WAS NOT PARTICULARLY BAD FOR MY AGE. I WILL BE GOING FOR ANNUAL REVIEWS

All the staff at Sutton Leightons are incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I went for an eye exam and had quite a few requirements with my glasses and they were all amazing in how much they cared about what would work for me. All the staff were excellent with explaining everything and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. I used to go to Vision Express and you can really tell the difference in the quality of service from all members of staff and just how much they know about what they’re doing. I also felt very COVID safe with all the precautions they are taking. I’d highly recommend if you don’t already go here to should change to them immediately. I can’t praise them enough.

I arrived at my pre booked appointed time and was welcomed into the shop. Although I had to wait a short while the optician who lead me through the eye examination was thorough checking I was comfortable with everything she did enabling me to feel safe.
