Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care - Sutton Avis 104

I have had excellent professional service from Leighton opticians. They have helped me live with severe myopia most of my life, advised me to have cataract operation which has been amazing and helped me with referrals to treat wet macular degeneration and iodopathic polyploidal choroidal vasculopathy (which is improving) not to mention supplying me with of glasses and contact lens for years.

I used Leightons Sutton branch for new glasses.
The optician was thorough and looked at my eyes in great detail.
She gave me a clear description of my present eye condition in a way I could understand.
Also the lovely person who helped me choose and fit new glasses frames and explained how to get used to varifocals was excellent.
I have had my new glasses for 2 months now and they are perfect.

Appointment was punctual, all hygiene and social distancing measures applied. Very polite efficient staff.

The hearing care was also an excellent service, kindly given and expert advice on the best aids to use.

I have been using the Sutton branch of Leightons for over 20 years and my latest visit was the least satisfactory. The frames that I had chosen for my varifocal glasses, which were featured on the Leighton's website, could not be sourced, which meant that I had to have new lenses in my existing frames. After the work was completed and I received the glasses with the new lenses I had to return after a few days because the frames were too tight and making an impression on my nose. Following a minor alteration the frames were more comfortable but the clarity I was used to from all my previous pairs of varifocals was still not right, especially when driving. I returned to the branch, therefore, and was told that the glasses were made to the right prescription and that I would have to return for a retest. Following the retest, which had virtually the same result as the earlier test, I saw a male optician (who did not normally work at the Sutton branch) who took the time and trouble to tweak the frames and lenses so that they are now much more acceptable. He made the point that as the frames had been unchanged they should not have required so much attention.

Always a faultless service. Their care and attention, following retina tears in both eyes, has been first class over more than 10 years including successive consultants (following a retirement).

I had an eye test on 21/06/21, received a telephone call the following day saying my old frames had been sent off to see if they could be repaired and that I would be advised of the price in due course. Since then I have heard nothing

Very good service. COVID regulations followed accurately. In and out in 30 minutes - no waiting.

All staff were very professional and friendly. Excellent service and a good experience. The only downside was the cost of the spectacles.

Amazing service, not rushed, polite and the opticians always explain each stage of the tests if you ask them. My kids feel comfortable and reassured there too. I have dealt with three opticians and they are all excellent. Front of house team are just as professional. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I had a thorough examination and the optician referred me to St. Helier Hospital for a further examination because of headaches. Everything was OK but I want to thank the optician for his care

The staff were helpful and pleasant and as I had brought along my son along there was a danger of his getting bored but the service all the way from booking an appointment ( which was initially too far ahead for me - staff called me to ask if i could take an earlier cancellation as they promised they would) to Glasses being delivered was brilliant.
