The company claims to sell food grade ethanol but what you are getting is an alcohol that according to their own label can cause organ damage. Norfolk trading standards had their product tested and it isn’t food grade and should be discarded.

The company claims that ‘excise taxes paid’ (whatever that means) but as alcohol duty is about £28 a litre for 96% grain alcohol and they are selling it for under £20 a litre this cannot be. Avoid avoid avoid!

Update: PayPal have reviewed my case and as expected provided a full refund. Liquid essences is a scam. Please avoid.

Scam selling fake ethanol and they keep sending me fishing links from PayPal.
STAY AWAY!!!!

Contacted bank and disputed the payment and got a full refund.

Over a week for something sent with ‘express delivery’ for £7…. No comms from them when asked where my order is.

Ordered friday, sent tuesday.

Abismal customer service and clearly just lazy all round. Delay in sending, delay in comms just a crap place to do business, shop elsewhere and save your money🙂

Ordered food grade ethanol, received non-food grade ethanol with all the text being in russian! Thankfully I used a translator app to check what it said and turns out it was not to be used internally.

Contacted them, no reply.

Glad I used PayPal so I can get the money back.

If your ordering make sure you do through PayPal and with credit card otherwise you will lose your money.. rip offs steer clear

Nothing arrived, this is a scam company ! They have since not returned or responded to my emails, refunded my money or resent .

I call this theft !

Be very very carefull when ordering from this company! I was sold de natured alcohol (which is toxic) in a bottle which was labelled as food grade ethanol. When I contacted the company with questions,they responded with a scripted reply which in no way answered my concerns. When I sent another email it was ignored. This is so very irresponsible and a very dangerous way to run a chemical supply company. Make sure you do your own checks on anything you buy here, unless you don't mind risking being poisoned. That goes for you especially, you limoncello makers ect.

The product is good , but when I pay for 1lt I expect 1lt not 750ml. I dont like getting ripped off

Tried to contact them thru their website (no response). Tried to email twice (no response).
Posted an old school letter (guess what, no response)
Tried calling mobile and it went straight to voice mail (did not ring back).

Is there an alternative supplier I can use ??

Impossible to contact. No response unless you start a dispute. They take your money and delivery whenever the heck they want. Whenever we have really needed a fast (or on time) dispatch they have badly let us down without fail. Whomever is running this business is a joke. They have permanently lost our regular business now, enough is enough.

Zero customer service

Never received any sort of confirmation money has been taken and not received product, haven’t replied to any sort of message and phone number is just some mobile that goes straight to answerphone. Don’t think they are even a company, don’t be like me and get done, all positive reviews will be done by them

I have ordered 2 bottles of 5 ltr Organic Extraction 95% v/v (F.C.C.) Food Grade Ethanol. One is OK, but the other contains a 1/2 litre less liquid. I will claim a partial refund with PayPal. Not recommended.

They aren't at the address listed. They don't provide a companies house number for their company.

This is an illegal outfit that isn't paying duty tax on alcohol, if it is actually consumable.

You're effectively buying moonshine that's in a more scientific looking bottle.

I only realised this after I drank it, and went to hospital to get checked for methanol poisoning.

Spent 5 hours in A&E because it wasn't worth the risk of waiting until symptoms developed if it did contain toxic levels of methanol or other stuff.

Havent recieved my order which was placed on 19/01/23 unable to contact them and the website is down.

Made a large order on Jan 16th, received no shipping confirmation email. Emailed inquiring about this on the 20th, no response. Then I see all the products no labelled "out of stock" on website (it was in stock when I purchased).

Sent several more emails over the past week, no response, the phone number displayed on website is disconnected and never answers or rings. Now the website is no longer working and it appears I am out over £250, should have payed with paypal.
