Would be zero stars if possible

Do not believe the reviews on their website. Would be zero stars if possible. Over three months chasing company for updates on a delayed set of porch furniture coupled with unfulfilled and untrue promises that the items were preparing to ship. Eventually demanded a complete cancellation of our order and had a much better experience (and better priced products) with a local vendor. Horrific customer service all around and strongly do not recommend.

Echo the thoughts of others in that the customer “service” is atrocious. Only half of our package was delivered, after months of waiting. Then, when trying to find the missing goods, we’re given the runaround. For the expense, you’d think that you’d be given 5 star service but the indicators suggest this business is failing.

Many, many years and dogs later!

For years, we would buy outdoor furniture knowing we would be replacing it either the following year, or at the most 2 years. I had been searching on line for better quality, environmentally friendly, DOG/PET friendly, easy to clean, etc. I came across Outer and did more research, and decided to give them a call. Obviously, my first thought was "it's a little expensive!" But if you add together all the replacement furniture, it was truly the same. We started with a sofa and a loveseat, in what they offered at the time, a basic wicker look, with white cushions, since they showed us how easy they were to keep clean. That was almost 8 years ago! We continued to add pieces until we finally filled our backyard with the absolute best. This furniture is built better than any furniture we have ever had. Living in South Florida, it is outside 24/7, 12 months a year. It is truly the best, still! When they offered complete covers, we definitely purchased them, as they make the care even easier. Do not hesitate, just do it, as you will NOT be disappointed. And customer service is truly that. The most helpful and make the continued business very enjoyable. we originally purchased our first pieces in September of 2019.

Still No Furniture

Outer estimated our furniture to be shipped a month ago. Their customer service is frustrating to communicate with—after many emails with limited to no responses, we finally got a shipping number that shows the furniture is not dispatched and is just now in a waiting to be picked up status that we were told multiple weeks ago that it was already in. For a premium price, we expected better and to at least have our furniture for part of the summer. Extremely disappointed and still unresolved

I gave this company so many chances to…

I gave this company so many chances to make things right, and 3 months later they still have not replaced a chair that was delivered damaged. The original delivery had multiple problems- missing rain covers and damaged items. When the rain covers were finally delivered they were the wrong ones. When the replacement chair was finally delivered (3+ months after the original order!) it was the wrong one. The customer service is responsive but can’t seem to get things right in a timely matter. Very much not worth the money.

Shipping Delays and No Service

Outer will claim to have an approximate shipping date for your furniture, that date will come and go. Our latest estimated shipping date was weeks ago, and Outer customer service is impossible to reach. They do not respond to email or phone calls.

Poor logistics, worse communication

It has been more than 2 months and we still have not received our furniture (the lead time was 3-4 weeks). Delivery involves multiple middlemen who have no idea what they're delivering and so cannot help you, and at no point in this entire process has Outer support responded to messages within the promised "48 business hours". Sometimes, they just don't respond at all.

What makes this particularly galling is the premium price of Outer products. We've had a much better experience for much less money on purchases elsewhere.

We have loved our Outer Experience

We love our Outer furniture! We ordered our aluminum sofa and armchair furniture back in 2022 and have really enjoyed it ever since. Our order initially arrived with a small stain on one of the cushion covers but we were sent a replacement cover very quickly. Our furniture has held up very well, now over three years later, even though we are quite lazy about using the integrated covers to shield from the elements. We also joined the host program through which we have hosted several interested clients, though this is not as frequent an event as I had hoped. My only hope is that they come up with a small add-on attachment to hold drinks on our furniture as the armrests are too thin to hold a drink!

Customer service was topnotch

Customer service was topnotch. The Outer team worked with our family to choose the right outdoor furniture for our patio and the delivery was quick and easy. 4+ years and our brown wicker sofa with armchairs is still just as beautiful as the first day we sat on it. The harsh weather in the Northeast has not damage or discolor our furniture - it's maintenance free. Our brown wicker set is well constructed and timeless. We are so happy we went with Outer for our forever home!

This is my 4th summer with my Outer…

This is my 4th summer with my Outer sectional furniture and 2nd with the Outer umbrella. It is time to do an updated review…

The sectional is still very comfortable and looks like it did the day we got it. Guests always rave over the look, style and comfort.

During the summer, we use the built in covers and in the off season we use the all weather covers. I am amazed at how well they hold up to the weather year round.

As for the umbrella, it has withstood some harsh weather and high winds. On sunny days, it provides plenty of shade poolside!

Overall, Outer has been awesome and I will be a customer for life!

Give them 6 stars!!!

The entire Outer experience has been first class for my wife and I. We bought our first patio set in 2020 and have now added two additional sets for our beach property. Terry Lin and team have crafted high quality outdoor furniture with impeccable customer service. If possible, I would rate them 6 stars!

The furniture has held up great

The furniture has held up great. It's been 4 years, I always forget to use the outer shell, and the furniture still looks as good as new. Very very satisfied and its well worth the premium!

Good furniture but Company issues to work out

July 15th: I can't speak to the quality of the product as I have not received. I placed the order on May 26th and was told last at the beginning of July that it would ship middle of July. Received the shipping notice and it is NOT what I ordered. For a company that I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars on, this is highly disappointing. Good luck trying to reach customer service as it is a 72 hour wait and their chat system is worthless and the phone tells you to email them. At this point I would not recommend ordering from this company.

Update: July 22nd - It took multiple phone calls, chats, emails and even reaching out on social media but I finally received a response that they had an ‘glitch’ in their system that showed the incorrect quantities of items shipped. However the tracking, after waiting 24-48 hours to ensure proper updates, shows an expected delivery of July 14. That’s 2 days before they even sent the tracking email! And I’ve refreshed since then with zero update as to where my order is at this point. I’ve sent out a new round of attempts to receive updates so we’ll see where this leads.

Update July 30th: Order has arrived. Delivery team was amazing and easy to work with for scheduling. The delivery team was prompt and cleaned up after themselves when setting everything up. The furniture is beautiful and I’m excited to use it. If the company can get their customer service and logistics figured out, it would make a huge difference for the customer experience. My final example I had a dedicated rep, because of all my issues, who was going to keep me updated. I got an email from them last night saying the delivery company has the order and would be calling to schedule delivery. However the delivery company already called last Friday and scheduled with me today. Outer had no clue the item arrived with them the prior week. Hopefully they can hire more customer service reps and get their IT and logistics up to speed with a company asking these prices.

Six Years Old and Still Looks Brand New

Six years ago, I purchase a new Townhome with a lovely roof deck. I went out looking for outdoor furniture. I am a preparer. I had the exact dimensions so the salesperson at the local furniture stores could help me. I met some of the most unprofessional salespeople you could imagine. The stores were expensive, had no return policy and charged delivery. My thought was, they had to be a better way to purchase high-quality outdoor furniture.
Then I found Outer. High quality furniture, excellent call center team members, return policy and guarantee. Everything my local stores did not have. When ordering the color of my cushions, I changed the color prior to shipment. The wrong color was sent. I called, it was corrected, and the right color was sent. Quick, easy and customer focuses.

I have had the furniture for 6 years now and it looks brand new. Add to this last year I bought a high-quality rectangle fire pit from Outer. This company is the real deal, and I highly recommend them.

I made the right choice with OUTER

Before I bought my first home, I bought my Outer furniture. I'd never owned Outer before, but in doing my research, and after visiting a showroom to get a first-hand review from another customer, I knew it was exactly the quality furniture I wanted. I'm loving it! I spend HOURS enjoying my Outer sofa every week. I never have to take the cushions inside or worry about if I'll be able to clean them - the roll-back covers, and washability, make it a breeze.

Great Products with Excellent Customer Service

I love my Outer Products. I purchased a couple aluminum chairs, sofa, and the furniture covers about 4 years ago. The furniture isdurable and so comfortable. I love the modular seating and having the ability to configure our furniture layout.

Last year, the zipper broke on one of my furniture covers and the company replaced it free of charge.

Outer really takes care of their customers and provides the best service.

BEST Outdoor Sofa!!!!

Loved my Outer outdoor sofa so much I bought a second one for another space. Fantastic quality & BEAUTIFUL design- still looks good as new 5 years later!!!! Contacting customer service was also great- they helped me determine which configuration was best for my needs. Also purchased the cover which is so easy to put on and take off. I did have a small issue with the zipper- contacted customer service and they were so responsive- above and beyond!!!!! So easy to work with- this is a customer focused company!!!!! Highly recommend!

I love our Outer furniture

I love our Outer furniture. We have a sofa and two arm chairs with the black aluminum and white color. We’ve had them for about 3 years now and the cushions are so comfortable and fabric holding strong. We cover the cushions most of the time to protect from rain/snow and so far the quality has been great.

Sturdy and comfortable

I have owned the teak modular patio furniture for several years. The furniture is sturdy and very comfortable, and I love the zippered attached cushion coverups. One of the sofa pieces and the coffee table was damaged during shipping, but the rep at Outer was very helpful and ordered prompt replacements for me. The only reason I'm taking off one star (I'd give a 4.5 star rating if I could) is because the coating on the cement coffee table insert has broken down and peeled over time. However, I see on their website site that such a table is no longer offered. I would not hesitate to order from this company again, as I have been pleased overall with the quality as well as the comfort and customer service.
