The delivery company acting on behalf of this company rang me to advise that my consignment had not arrived as indicated. They told me it must be lost & I should contact Loads of Stone. I’ve tried ringing several times & no one answers the phone despite me holding for at least 20 minutes.

Delivery was meant to come last Thursday 02/04, nothing has arrived as of 08/04, have tried to contact customer services multiple times over this period and have had absolutely no contact whatsoever.

Great quality flamingo pebbles great price great delivery i was even contacted to make sure i was in for my order highly recommend to others No problem in this review will use again so glad i used this company as it wasnt really in my area but had no prblems at all thanks.

Good quality and quick delivery
Excellent quality stones. Nice colours in the Flamingo mix. Ordered next day service and despite Loads of Stone being based 4 hours away, the pallet was delivered at 11:15 the next day. Contact updates weren't great but they did deliver and I've ordered more 👍🏽🙂

North to south for a 1/2 bulk bag of chippings
Ordered and had delivered 1/2 bulk bag of chippings within 4 days one end of the country to the other. pretty good !! The chippings were a fairly uniform size so easy to work with. Good variation of light-drk grey stone

Good stones
Arrived promptly. It was not obvious as to the weight of a bulk bag, but in a corner of the website I found it at 850kg. Stones contained a small amount of grit and leaves for which I got an immediate apology and partial refund. Excellent stones. Friendly service. Would definitely use again.

No Delivery
Placed an order on 24th December. Now 5th Jan and no update, contacted via email, site contacts and phone system. Nothing is answered. Been hon hold 3 times from 15 minutes. Avoid!!!!

Small bulk bags
Delivery was quick, quicker than expected
Looked for weight of their bulk bags on their site but I was unable to find it
Turns out it's 750kg rather than 1000kg I was expecting
Also I ordered 20mm gravel to add to 20mm gravel I already have but what turned up was mostly around 10mm
So cheap and quick but smaller than ordered and less than expected
Would possibly order again especially now I can directly compare as most sites inform you of weight

Can't fault them
No issues what so ever. Ordered 1:30pm Tueday with next day delivery and was delivered 12:30 on Thursday. As it was after the cut off for guaranteed next day it was delivered when it was expected to be. I would use them again.

No stones, but eventually a full refund
Their website states: The whole process is handled by a Loads of Stone member of staff at all stages which can give you the peace of mind that the job is being done correctly
This isn’t true. They contract out their deliveries to companies who really don’t want to deliver the stone and will find any excuse to say that you have ‘refused delivery’. Our stone couldn’t be delivered because we have a gravel drive. There is an irony about being unable to deliver stones because of….stones! We didn’t refuse delivery - they refused to deliver.
The website also says:
with fantastic customer care you are in good hands.
This isn’t true either. Our stones weren’t delivered so now we are hundreds of pounds out of pocket with no stones. I have phoned the company on many occasions. There is never anyone there. A message assures you that your query will be answered the following day but that isn’t true either. I have had no response at all since the delivery company took my stones back.
UPDATE: Following my review I was contacted by the company. Apparently the customer contact number should be active and answered but it has reverted to an older system. I spoke to Emma and then Denah who was amazing. It was her day off but she still took time to try to help me get the stones delivered. Eventually it became clear that their delivery company was not going to deliver onto a gravelled drive, so I was refunded my money. Great customer service in the end but unfortunately still no stones. They were bought elsewhere from a company who offered next day delivery and happily drove onto our driveway and delivered onto our property without an issue.

Amazing experience
Amazing experience! I shopped around for a while before finding Loads of Stones - they were the most reasonably priced I’d found, so I placed my order on Saturday.
Yesterday (Wednesday), I received a phone call from one of the team who advised that my delivery would be made the following day. I also had an email with tracking updates too,
This morning, I got an email with a two-hour time slot estimation for delivery. My stones arrived just 10 minutes into the allocated time, all bags in tact. I’m so pleased! Excellent service from start to finish, everything was very efficient with great communication.
I’ll be ordering my second lot of stones on the next few weeks! Can’t recommend enough!

Due to my own inability to order things properly and then check the invoice, my order was set to 'Standard' delivery instead of 'Next Day', which was only discovered when the builders started asking what time would the stones be arriving. This was not a problem for Loadsofstone who pulled out all the stops and, somehow, got them to me early the following day. Cannot praise the friendliness and service enough and product was absolutely top notch too. Highly recommended.
