Colin provided excellent service and came to my assistance when I was in a difficult situation. After I first contacted him, he promptly called to provide an estimated time of arrival. During his initial visit, he was unfortunately unable to fully repair the lock, but he ensured the door was properly closed and secured before leaving.

He returned promptly for a follow-up visit and successfully replaced the lock. Throughout the process, Colin was polite, professional, and made sure everything was working correctly before he left, confirming that I was completely satisfied with the work. I would happily recommend his services.

Being unable to lock a uPVC French door, I called LockRite and was visited by a locksmith the same day. He stripped, cleaned and lubricated the locking mechanism, flushing out detritus that had probably been accumulating for 20+ years. He left the mechanism working properly and called me a few days later to check that it was still OK, which it was. This was very impressive service at a reasonable price and I highly recommendLockRite

20:00 on Thursday and our front door lock "froze" and we couldn't lock the door. Lockrite was my third attempt to find someone to come out and fix it. Matthew answered the call and did a bit of diagnosis. As it was potentially a gearbox fault he advised that he did not carry that particular one. I jury rigged the door for the night.

I got a text the next day Matthew asking if I still needed someone to attend which I confirmed. Matthew arrived at the stated time and discovered that the cylinder had seized which is apparently quite rare. After discussion we made the decision to replace both the front and back door cylinders (doors are the same age) as a precaution. Matthew did an excellent job and even gave the doors a "service".

As a facilities manager for a banking organisation I’m always wary when getting locksmiths to come in and complete works on my site, especially after a few tacky finishes to jobs.

Colin Virgo has completely changed this around. From providing updates on ETAs to allowing me to give my input on decisions made for repairs the entire process has put my mind at rest. His workmanship is flawless and the site is always left extremely nest and tidy and nothing like being greeted by a workman who has a smile on his face and is eager to help.

We were having problems with our mortice locks. After calling Lockrite, Colin came promptly the same day to evaluate the job and returned the following day to service all 4 locks and cut some new keys for us. A polite, pleasant and honest service. We were expecting to have to pay for new locks but Colin was happy to strip, lubricate and reassemble the existing ones which was a cheaper outlay for us. We will be keeping his details on file for any future needs.
