Do not shop from Lulu Hypermarket. Quit expensive and they do not accept return even with a manufacturer defect. Avoid any purchase if you are a pilgrim. Location : Makkah, Zouk Khalil Gate 6.

After one spends considerable time adding items in cart,then items aren’t available,then one has to wait for 2 to 7 days refund,and then one waits impatiently for refund,only to find out that bank did... Voir plus

Be very careful with them!

Be very careful with them, they are cheating with orders! I made an order and paid online, but when it was delivered several items appeared to be missing. It is impossible to report an issue on the app (Instashop in Cairo) and the supermarket didn't answer neither in official Whatsapp, which is shown in contacts, nor on my request to contact me via email. The items cost was several hundreds Egyptian pounds, and it seems the shop does not care and there is no mechanism to even raise the issue!

I am very disappointed with Lulu Online…

I am very disappointed with Lulu Online Shopping. I have placed several online orders because of the discounts advertised on the website and app. After applying promo codes and completing my purchase, some items were later removed from my order because they were supposedly out of stock.

What is even more frustrating is that money was deducted from my account, but I did not receive all the items I paid for. Customer service repeatedly says they will contact me by email, yet I rarely receive a clear response or solution.

An online store should accurately show what is available before taking payment. My experience with refunds, missing items, and poor communication has been very disappointing.

Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend Lulu Online Shopping.

online experience is terrible. if you call expect to wait at least 15 mins , online is just as bad. i suppose it’s my fault ordering online.
1. payment is made in full
2. any item that isn’t in stock is not refunded automatically or replaced, instead you wait up to two weeks
3. if an item is missing Lulu still claims it is delivered or worse send someone to pick something that wasn’t sent
4. they really don’t like to believe the customer
5. process is broken
6. wrong information is shared internally
7. if you must buy from them check at your door

Very bad experience with online orders- poor service people packed with poor quality materials. Untrustworthy store.Why they were cheaper people appointed. There must be change the attitude with training. Today the fish's are completely older, the flush.

Formal Complaint – Live Worm Infestation in Packaged Cereal | LuLu Hypermarket, Muweilah

Dear Sir/Madam,
I write to formally complain about the discovery of live worms in packaged breakfast cereal purchased from your Muweilah branch on Friday, 20th June 2026. I purchased four (4) boxes of cereal flakes, all bearing valid, unexpired shelf-life dates. Upon opening two boxes at home, I found live worms crawling inside. Disturbingly, children in my family had already consumed the cereal during breakfast and, upon seeing worms in their bowls, were traumatised and vomited. Fortunately, no serious medical harm has been reported thus far.

I also wish to note that on a previous occasion, I discovered a weevil infestation in rice bags purchased from the same branch — identifiable solely due to the transparent nature of the packaging. Upon being promptly informed, the branch manager took immediate action and had the affected stock removed from the area on the spot. While that swift response was commendable, the recurrence of a pest-related incident at the same outlet raises serious concerns about the adequacy of the underlying food storage and quality control systems in place.

On 24th May 2026 at approximately 08:30 AM, I visited the branch and reported the matter to your customer service representative, who photographed the product and accepted the two remaining boxes for return. I was issued a credit note and a verbal apology, with an assurance that the product would be removed from shelves. While I appreciate the staff’s courtesy, a credit note is a grossly insufficient response to an incident that endangered the health of children.

I have a video recording clearly documenting the live worm infestation which unfortunately am unable to attach. I request to formally investigate the matter.

I don’t want to give even one star , online experience is the worst ever experience. Go to the store but online - cheats, inexperienced staff, worst online portal, constant location issues, poor stale vegetables provided for online orders, worst customer service - team of untrained, inexperinced parrots, who listen and understand less and come up with the weirdest of excuses for a failed delivery, even better you will receive an email for online delivery done for order not delivered and on follow up, the customer unfriendly team sitting in India will concoct the most ridiculous excuse or issue for failed delivery as if you are born today to accept the ridiculous false claims.
Fraudsters - they offer discounts online and dupe the customer to spend on a figure and then you realize, you only get stuff delivered to the exact amount you paid, the discount is eaten up with the lamest excuse that the item/s not delivered are unavailable and since you haven’t paid extra, we can keep it and eat it too.
So you spend more and they keep the discounts, cheeky, shady absolute con website.
Carrefour by far has the best rating 5/5 or 10/10 for me, not once have I had the slightest hiccup or hurdle.
Not saying for favoritism and nothing against this supermarket, but the above reasons justify, why Lulu online is an absolute no no.
Go to the store, you can see and buy what you want , not the stale stuff they send online.
If you want online,all other online supermarket stores are good and some exceptionally good like Talabat mart, Noon, Grandiose, Union but Lulu online never.
Its not, where the world comes to shop online.
It’s where the world stops to get their shopping online satifactorily , best part you may not even get the order delivered or your address pin can land in Abu Dhabi or Timbuktu for an online tech system that has been made during the Stone Age.

Lulu online app delivery service is pathetic

Lulu online app delivery service is pathetic. No accountability and responsibility for delivering products on time. It a torture to order from Lulu AAP.
Poor leadership and customer delivery decipline. Highly disappointed by ordering using Lulu app. Guys if you wish to punish your own self order using Lulu online app.
Hypermax and Talabat are far superior and give excellent service in terms of delivery. Poor Lulu management team have no enough delivery person to cater to Muscat customers.

I wish I could give no stars to Lulu…

I wish I could give no stars to Lulu online. Seriously the worst fresh products. I have called 8 times, emailed multiple times and no one has even bothered. Grapes came in a bunch with no grapes on so many branches, bad kiwi's, Cauliflower came sliced on top, there was nothing right. And no one has responded. I would definitely not use Lulu online or recommend them.

Never ever order anything via their app. Your money and order will disappear and their customer service is arguably the worst thing you'll ever experience if they even reply to you.

I don't understand how a company like…

I don't understand how a company like Lulu can have the worst online service in the world, I'll tell you all the negative points: 1. The discount codes I use do not guarantee the purchase of the items you want, in practice if you have a 30% discount and order multiple items, they may not deliver all the products to you, the availability is never real, and if they don't deliver they don't bring you the product the next day but they cancel it of their own decision and therefore you are convinced that you bought an item at a lower price but in reality you will not receive it, and they refund you the cost with the discount obviously but you will never be able to reuse that discount, then going to reorder at full price if you want that item, I recommend using Lulu on Amazon, there at least you work with Amazon's fantastic rules, problem that Lulu discount codes are not usable, but at least if you order the product you are sure to receive it. last thing avoid writing or calling the call center, they are useless!! A debit card offers better solution choices, they are incapable of any type of solution, they tell you it can't be done, it's so subtle!! Really useless! So if you order, know that you won't necessarily get a discount and they will only give you the things they need! The refunds then arrive at their convenience.

Their pointing system is very injustice....400 points for only 1 dirham???? Its inconsiderate, do you call it happiness??? I hope they will change it to make considerable to make their customer really happy.

Bad experience with lulu online shopping

Very bad exp. in lulu online shopping.
I am disappointed to see your offer online. When I search product it's showing that this is on stock I orderd the items.after 5 hrs. i got mail from them.no stocks.. but when I wasted my time to download your app and place order it's says out of stock.

LULU team is not updating their product online.
Please dont do this type of unprofessional behaviour with your customers write proper on your web and app so if product not available why didn't you people update

In stock but not, received wrong

Selling me and showing me that a product is available then suddenly removing it without a head notice and delivering me half a order, if I knew 4 items are cancelled do you think I'd order, very bad experience and would never ever try it again or recommend and I'll tell everyone to never order from you again, very bad sales reputation, greedy, and a clear waste of time, this frustrated me so much in a annoying way, I was waiting for my items within a long time I made plans and I needed them on time, very unprofessional coming from a big company,

Bottom line is LULU team is not updating their product online and it's a sale strategy or you know what I mean to say but I don't want to use that word. Placed and order and paid and it never arrived!!!¡

Made an order for their rapid delivery service which was for within.1 hour... as it stands right now I've been waiting 2 hours and now of course their customer service have gone home!!! No idea when or even if my items will ever arrive! Their Whatsapp service is worse than useless too! Never will I ever order from them again!!! Tomorrow morning someone in customer service will be getting an earful!
