Magna Renewables Ltd Avis 

Since having my heat pump fitted a couple of weeks ago I can honestly say that I am chuffed to death with it's performance. Right from the start when sales rep Jon visited my property to give me a quote I have found Magna Renewables to be very professional and their standard of workmanship has been second to none. Vinny, Chris and Mike certainly know their stuff and I would recommend this company if you are considering having a heat pump fitted.

I have had an Air pump installed within the last 6 months and to say Magna Renewables have look after me is an understatement. The system is a dream and they’ve looked after me who by my own admission is not tech savy at all. They also fixed issues on my existing solar system which had not been running as it should since it was installed 10 years ago by a company that is long out of business.

We had a great experience with Magma Renewables who installed our heat pump. The install took about a week and throughout the whole process the engineers kept us informed on progress and checked with us if there were any changes to the work they had planned for the day.

The heating was only off for a day during the changeover, which was really quick and they engineers worked a long shift to ensure hot water was ready for the kids bathtime. Highly recommended.

Magna Renewables did a large job for us fitting a Air Heat Source Pump and changing the majority of our radiators (the ones the builder put in meant we had to run our previous gas boiler at least 65c), and while there were the odd teething problem (you always do on a complex job), they were supportive, solved issues quickly and the system has been flawless for the last 8 months.

You get the measure of a company when a problem arise and how they handle it, and they passed with flying colours. Well recommended.

Having had surveyors and salespeople from other companies try to push as much kit on us as they could list, Magna's advisor visited and took time to understand our home and electricity consumption patterns to give sound advice on the right size and type of installation.
The surveying and accounts team were communicative in the run-up to installation meaning we were able to organise scaffolding easily. Magna also uses their own installers and equipment, so there were no unexpected delays arising from availability of people and parts.
The installation team took the old-fashioned electricals we have here in their stride and finished the work in the timescale they had indicated beforehand, even staying while we adjusted our Wifi settings to set up the data logging system.
They were all polite, courteous, and patient when it came to explaining how things worked and what guidance they needed from us for installation.

We had Magna Renewables install a ground source heat pump in early 2022. They performed well and worked very hard given some challenges, including supply chain disruption, high volume of systems to commission before the RHI deadline of 31 March 2022, and the digger driver breaking his hand before the trenches were complete.

Magna Renewables have responded promptly to teething issues including a malfunctioning circuit board. Their commitment and hard work can't be faulted. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the reinstatement of the ground was not great, with the trenches still visible nearly a year later, and the instructing of a concrete contractor to make good a trench outside the house was slow.

Very disappointing Experience. Was "sold" a system on the phone after answering multiple questions, paid a deposit, signed a contract and arranged surveyors visits to talk with my plumber and electrician.
When surveyor came although he seemed to know what he was doing he clearly had none of the information from the sales process and it was alarming (to say the least) that a system had been sized and sold without using any of the information we supplied. A week later they cancelled the Purchase Order, clearly they had mis-sized and misquoted. It then took us a week of calls, texts and emails to get our money back. Very frustrating and time wasting process.

Called the company and confirmed on the 30th August that an appointment had been made for 12 noon on the 16th Sept.
It is 4-22 on the 16th September, no contact from the company despite my phone call at 12-50 to confirm.
They obviously dont want my business.

We had an Air Source Heat Pump installed in September 2021, and almost 1 year on can say that it is brilliant. From a house previously heated using a multi fuel burner with a back boiler, it has completely transformed the heating of our home and we now have hot water readily available.
We initially met with Vincent who came across well and was very knowledgeable about the product. Due to grants, Covid and having to get cavity wall insulation installed prior, the installation of the pump was a couple of months after the initial date suggested. This part could have been handled better as there was a lot of chasing, phone calls and emails from our side that were not responded to.
We were told installation would take approximately a week, although it took 2 weeks plus a few extra days due to missing parts and different people having to complete different aspects. This was a struggle for us moving out whilst the work was done and being able to oversee it whilst still working full time.
Nearly a year on we still have a few little problems that we have sent multiple messages to Magna about that have not been resolved. The fan will occasionally make a high pitched whirring noise for a couple of minutes at a time, and the control panel and app are not completely in sync and do not register some commands.
Despite these issues the product is amazing and will certainly help us over the next few months to efficiently heat our home and supply us with hot water.

We chose Magna after wasting months in negotiation with a larger company and were immediately impressed with Vincent's technical knowledge and enthusiasm. We were further impressed when the quote arrived, which was exactly what we had asked for and slightly less than the previous company had quoted.

Due to the well-publicised supply chain problems around the start of the year we were unable to obtain the specified pump units, but Vincent was able to find an alternative with the same performance and the installation was completed on time to a very high standard. The whole team were very hard working and professional.

We are very pleased with the result and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of a renewable energy project.

Magna gave me confidence from the outset - Vincent is hands on and involved in every aspect from initial survey & very competitive quote through answering queries and actual installation. Melanie at the office kept me updated with courtesy calls and the installation team (Karl and dad) were efficient, knowledgeable and able to adapt to the challenges of an old stone property. Highly recommended, system is working well and feel support available if needed.

Brilliant from start to finish, the whole team was very professional and helped a huge amount to ensure the ASHP was installed in time to apply for the RHI scheme.

Used Magna for a ASHP, new radiators and underfloor heating, they were very professional and competitively priced. Dan and Chris worked exceptionally hard during the install and nothing was too much trouble, the house was cleaned down everyday. The technical knowledge of Vinny was of a higher standard than other companies we spoke to during the research phase and he was a real product expert. Cannot fault the work or support received, would definitely recommend.
