Order only if you don’t need to return!

Placed an order on Malts.com and wanted to use my 2000 member points which gives you £20 discount. All looked good and discount applied when checked out, however when the payment processed the order confirmation was stating the full amount and I had been charged the full amount. I immediately contacted the customer services to ask for them to rectify this or cancel the order so I could reorder as appeared an issue with the checkout process and I had been charged the full amount incorrectly when the discount had applied at checkout (which I have screenshots of).

Unfortunately their customer services are abysmal. They did not reply in a timely manner, so my order had then been dispatched so they were unable to cancel the order. They advised I could return for a refund and then try reordering again with the points (no charges mentioned).

When I confirmed I would like to do that they informed me there was a return fee of £10 which is stated no where on the website and also extremely high for “shipping charges”. I have been back and forth with customer services as I don’t understand why I should be out of pocket for an error on their website and I tried to rectify the issue as soon as the order was placed.

They have ignored my questions in emails with very basic and unhelpful replies. I have now paid the £10 as I just want it sent back and sorted out and they didn’t give me any other option. I am extremely unhappy about this and have reordered the item with the points, but instead of being a £20 voucher I have technically lost £10 of that due to the website error on the first order and having to pay to return the item.

The shipping label after I paid took them 5 days to provide also, although the refund was quick when they received it back.

They offered me a £15 voucher as goodwill but that is not helpful at all as it couldn’t be used for the return fee, couldn’t be used in conjunction with the points. I think it is appalling that I have ended up paying £10 for an error that I had no control over and was a fault in their website/checkout system, especially when I highlighted to them as soon as the order processed.

No issue with product or shipping time, just be aware if you have any issues as they have terrible customer service, hidden charges to return and overall a really bad experience with this company.

Great experience

Bit cautious about ordering with the trust pilot score but glad I did! Ordered the Johnny walker 12 days of christmas box, got a great black friday deal! Free delivery! Ordered on the 20th November at around 10am, arrived 21st November at 8:30am in perfect condition! Couldn't be happier

Good selection of Diageo brands

Good website offering lots of Diageo's malt brands, I like the reward points and bundles but sometimes can find cheaper elsewhere. It's limited to only Diageo, which is a shame but makes sense.

Great Service!

Was apprehensive after ordering from Malts.com and then reading lots of average reviews! However these did not really affect me and my experience was nothing less than fantastic! Ordered a bottle of Talisker 10 Year, which came with Isle of Skye choccy and a Talisker Dry Bag as free gifts. It arrived within the time frame shown, although Royal Mail did mess the delivery up so I needed to go and collect it.

Only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is the delivery time. In this day and age, you should really hope to receive items within 3 or 4 days, rather than 5-7. Other than that, can't fault it!

I would recommend this website, as ordering directly from distilleries is the right way to go, rather than paying more money into Amazon.

Order 4 glasses and only received 2 (1 broken)

Order 4 glasses and only received 2. And 1 was already broken due to poor packaging.
Asked for a refund. That was only possible after I returned the (1 broken) glasses... Also it was not possible for them to send a return label. So I had to pay for that myself. Two weeks after they received the glasses I finally received a refund. But without refunding my costs of transport.

I will never order anything with this company again, nor will I advise anyone to do so. Never experienced such a poor quality of service.

Am 8.Februar bestellt, am 21.Februar ist immer noch nichts versandt, der Kundenservice reagiert nicht mehr. Anfangs gab es noch windige Ausreden.
Ich halte die Firma für einen Scam.

A cracking bunch of lads and lasses.

The ease of communication is great the quality of the products are top class. my orders up to yet have been dispatched and delivered with care and with it being royal mail I can pick it up from my local post office. Good prices good range would recommend Malts as a go to for whisky.

Schlechter gehts nicht, kein Service, keine Lieferung, und 60 Euro verbrannt.

Ich habe direkt den Vorgang anbei, das ist kein Fake: Vorgang: Nicht erhaltene Lieferung MALTSDE-20106 - nachzulesen bei Malts. Die Odyssee geht seit 4 Wochen, am besten geht in dem Laden das Abbuchen und dann beginnt das Chaos. Lieferankündigung - kein Paket, Dokumentation-Reklamation-endlose Bearbeitung- wieder Lieferankündigung, wieder endlos warten und wieder keine Ware. Wer hier 2 x bestellt ist selber schuld, ich habe selten so viel Unvermögen auf einmal angetroffen.

Delivery time beyond a joke

I placed my order on Sunday 15 January, expecting despatch within two business days. If a company can’t achieve this, they don’t have your item in stock, so therefore shouldn’t be allowed to claim they do. Chased the order up on the Friday after, only to be told my order would be despatched within 5 - 12 business days, really! I could have a refund, but this would take 10 business days. Why is this ?

Once my order arrives, I will never deal with this company again.

I have to be honest

I have to be honest, I haven’t bought anything from you yet. However, I always enjoy viewing the variety of Single Malts that you have. I still hope to make a purchase one day, probably a Cardu or a Royal Loch Nagar. I think your pricing is competitive and fair, though I don’t think you’ll see me buying one of your higher priced collectors malts. I look forward to receiving the next email from you.

Shocking service over 2 week’s delivery.

Shocking service. I ordered some whiskey in the 14th December for a Christmas present. I received an email notification that it was shipped on the 29th December. This was a Christmas present that has now spoiled the Christmas surprise.

AUFPASSEN!
Ich habe am 23.11.2022 zwei hochwertige Whisky Flasche bestellt. Ich bin von den angegebenen 4-7 Tage Lieferzeit ausgegangen. Selbst nach 20 Tagen ist die Ware immer noch nicht eingetroffen, wodurch ich meine Bestellung storniert habe. Leider habe ich bis jetzt (29.12.2022) noch keine Rückzahlung meiner Kosten erhalten, sonst hat jemand auf meine Mails geantwortet. Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Kundensupport melden sich nicht. Rechtliche Schritte werden eingeleitet.
