The price was very competitive as it included FREE delivery, The order was placed on the previous evening and the delivery was early next day, early meaning before 9am. Can't get better than that.

Check the colour before you leave.
Bought a specific colour mixed on Monday, perfect match and returned for the exact same colour today. It was mixed and I did not check until I went home. Wrong colour, had to make round trip to get the correct colour. A weak apology, could have given a 2 inch paint brush, not a chance. To test the colour the assistant used her finger to paint on a card. Beggars belief that she couldn't use a brush. Moral of the story check the colour before you leave the shop. She mentioned they dont do that. Perhaps they should. Within 5 days from first purchase wanted to charge an extra 6 euros for exact same item. No pricing on display. Slow to return there.

Customer relations
Called to Pat MCDonnells yesterday for a neighbour to collect paint 150.56 euro teller would not discount the 56 cent after asking I had to break another 50 euro for to pay the 56 cent . It does not encourage me to return to store again in future .Continue to support my little local hardware store that always throws a fresh roller etc with any large purchase .

Not customer friendly or helpful…
The woman I asked about paint today was very unprofessional showed no empathy didnt want to help in any way very obnoxious and treated us like we were idiots .not customer friendly in the slightest .she definitely needs lessons in customer care .said she was a paint designer she hadn't got a clue.saw other negative reviews about her too .u will lose customers with her there

Top notch service.
When I went in store in Rathfarnham, the assistant could not have been more helpful. She gave me advice and showed me that I could save money if I had my paint premixed. The fact that my paint has been delivered promptly, has been a bonus. I will definitely be going back to Pat McDonald paints in the future.

Fast delivery
Ordered paint on two separate occasions this week and on both counts, my order arrived in less than 24 hours. I've never seen delivery service quite like it. Really impressed with their online selection too and would highly recommend Pat McDonnell paints.

Disappointed with the internal paint…
Disappointed with the internal paint they gave me, €100, as it bubbled and took all the previous paint off one side of the wall. This was from the cork city store and rang them and photos were given to them. Initially told that Dulux might have to look and then asked did I use a primer and not to be too heavy on the roller. They never said this when we bought the paint and told this happens and start again. Had to buy more paint and no allowance for what had just happened.
Have used Pat McDonnell before for delivery of outside paint and this was good and is the only reason I've given 2 stars.

We understand how frustrating it can be when a paint job doesn’t go to plan - especially after investing both time and money. From what your wife described and the photos shared with our team, it appeared that the issue stemmed from the previous coating on the wall, which had poor adhesion and unfortunately lifted when new paint was applied. This can happen in cases where older paint is losing its stick, but unfortunately doesn’t become evident until the paint has lifted, and we always aim to provide the right advice when issues like this arise.
Our team, including Anthony and the Store Manager, Donal, did their best to explain the situation and offer guidance on how to resolve the problem. We’re sorry if this didn’t meet your expectations at the time. It’s never our intention to leave a Customer feeling unsupported.

I was in the Limerick store on Tuesday
I was in the Limerick store on Tuesday, and what an amazing selection of products! The staff were super friendly. I spoke to Niall, one of the sales team, who was super friendly, gave me loads of advice and carried all my paints to the car, a true gentleman. Will be back for more, well done, Pat McDonnells.

Fast service with excellent customer service!
I ordered paint from Pat McDonnell Paints in the evening, and to my surprise, the delivery arrived bright and early at 7:30 a.m. the next morning—fantastically fast service! However, I realised I’d made a massive mistake and ordered four times more paint than I needed. The team were very kind, understanding, and helpful. They made the return and refund process easy and hassle-free, and quickly arranged for the correct quantity to be delivered. I’m so appreciative of their efficiency and genuinely excellent customer service. I’d highly recommend them!
