This firm ‘enforce’ Teeside park
This firm ‘enforce’ Teeside park, it has employed what can only be described as petty parking enforcement tactics. Fines issued for trivial reasons and valid appeals rejected with the stock ‘terms and conditions’ excuse and absolutely zero common sense.
My family and I will never visit Teeside park again having received what can only be described as a draconian and petty parking fine from them. If the disabled bay was the correct size and provision then my wife would not have had to encroach onto the yellow hatched markings. This was to allow her disabled elderly mother sufficient space to get out of the car from the passenger seat. The disabled bay in question only had extra space on the drivers side because it was next to a normal parking bay so my wife had to pull onto the hatched markings by a couple of inches which was clearly shown on the photograph. Meanwhile the draconian parking nazis issued a fine, which was appealed and refused. At least Highwaymen wore a mask when they robbed you!
I am now considering legal action in relation to disability discrimination due to the insufficient size and actions of the park towards the disabled.
I wanted to pay but machines not working!
I was going to appeal for parking at Swinsty reservoir owned by Yorkshire Water but looking at other peoples' experience it would have been a waste of time. I too could not get my card to work and the man in front couldn't either I even tried another machine up at fewston car park to same effect. The annoying thing is I actually had cash on me but of course the machines won't take it and I really don't want to stand in the rain to down load an app I will never use again. What about all older people who don't have a smart phone or know how to do this I wonder how many machines are not operating as they should in order to rake in money. So it's not like I deliberately didn't want to pay . Ive paid the fine as don't need to hassle
Getting photographed driving past and…
Getting photographed driving past and then driving again 6 hours later and being fined for still photographs being used to say that I had been parked their. WHEN I WAS ACTUALLY DRIVING TO AND FROM MY OWN COMPANY AND MY OWN PARKING PLACE BEHIND THE MECCA BINGO
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND A WASTE OF MY TIME AND EFFORT TO EVENTUALLY GET THE FINE RESCINDED BY POPLA WEEKS LATER.
You should be ashamed o yourselves You cant even contact them once they realise, they were in the wrong. ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS
I WISH TO PUT IN A CLAIM FOR TIME WASTING
Terrible company all round
Terrible company all round. Parked in a car park I use regularly for work. On this occasion the ANPR did not recognise my reg when I tried to pay at end of stay. I tried several times and managed to get the machine to finally accept payment but I then received a ticket as they said it was not the correct duration. I appealed and advised the machine was not working correctly but they basically said it was my fault and I should have rung them . I have given this company hundreds of pounds over the last 4 years but they will get not one penny more. No understanding, anything they can do to squeeze more money out of people. The cost of parking here has almost doubled in three years but that is clearly not enough for them. Hope they go the same way as NCP.
Warning to parking shoppers at Teesside Park
This company operates the car park at Teesside Park. I parked my car, legitimately, in a disabled bay but the car was around 3" over the white crosshatched area to one side of the car and I received a fine notice of £100. I appealed the fine but it was rejected. I have paid the fine but I feel the Company is insensitive and without any common sense or compassion over such a trivial infringement, they are clearly only focussed on £.
Challenged at POPLA and won....
Received a fine from them for the Car Park at Cobalt Business Exchange, Newcastle. Didn't even use their Car Park, parked on the Polestar Forecourt that had NO SIGNAGE and is not their property. This is within the entry/exit camera used as evidence. Appealed to them and they denied me. Took them to POPLA and they dropped out.
There machine didn’t work and they…
There machine didn’t work and they fined me for there incompetence
Disgraceful company, you need to be properly regulated
Awful company. Received a £100 parking ticket when someone else was using my car. They had paid for parking and evidence was provided. They responded saying the number plate hadn’t been registered, and hinted that the incorrect reg had been entered.
I feel that penalising people for getting a digit wrong when entering the reg is morally wrong. You’re there to ensure people are paying for parking, and they did, yet they still insist the £100 fine was correctly issued.
The machines at the car park are out dated too. You can enter literally any string of characters you want, which is daft. Other ANPR car parks I’ve visited do not allow you to put in a reg that hasn’t already been registered entering the car park, so basically their old, crap system meant the error was not identified by the driver.
I appealed to POPLA assuming that they would be fair and reasonable when making judgement, but they’re useless. They basically just side with the parking regardless of circumstances. A pointless service, just there to give the illusion of regulation.
I was quite happy to defend my position in court, but I’ve even been denied that option. Instead I’ve been informed that if I don’t pay, the debt will be passed straight over to a debt recovery agency.
You are a terrible company and should be ashamed of yourselves.
Robbers!!!!!!!!!
Robbers!!!!!!!!!
Please be very wary of using their carparks. Horrible company and will find many ways to extract a 'fine' from you. Spoken to others with a similar experience.
Absolutely money grabbing awful…
Absolutely money grabbing awful company. Fined £155 for going over parking by 20 minutes as I was trying to get my 1 year old to a safe space in a restaurant with friends while I went back outside to pay for parking. I paid for parking, and I went through the whole contest of the ticket as I was managing my child and they’ve continued to add more money onto my fine.
If I could rate Minster Baywatch less…
If I could rate Minster Baywatch less than one star I really would!!! My wife paid to park on Feb 14th this year at the Vue Car Park in Newcastle Under Lyme, all above board as you would think? Oh no, not when the Ring Go app has a date error showing the 12th as we find out after receiving a PCN. The absolute cheek of it, then when issuing proof that my wife was at work on the 12th and couldn’t possibly of parked on 12th - we’ll reduce your fine to £20. Criminals, the lot. Trading standards or something need to investigate this or there must be some governing body?
Had a night out at Mecca bingo
Had a night out at Mecca bingo
BILSTON I have just received a letter from MINSTER BAYWATCHfor £155 pounds so ok I will pay but MECCA YOU ARE THE IDIOTS who employed these prats so you will lose out we will not be going to Mecca again so xxxx you.
Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company, fined £100 for encroaching the hatched area between two disabled parking bays by approximately two inches. Not causing any issue for anyone else. Didn’t see any signs advising of this. Decided to pay the fine rather than enduring the stress of the flawed appeals process.
Keep your tickets from the machine.
If I could give this company and their service no stars it would still be more than they deserve.
Paid for ticket with cash at the machine at the car park, then over 4Weeks later I received the penalty charge notice. I appealed the notice and received an acknowledgement. I heard nothing fro m the company, when a decision letter was emailed staying that they issued a l etter to ask for evidence IE my ticket from the machine. I did not receive this letter and any further attempts to contact them were ignored. Ended up having to pay the penalty charge as I could without the further hassle of lawyers getting involved, which is what I am sure they hope most people will do.
Very disappointing as I was visiting a local heritage site, trying to support a local event!
My experience with Minster Baywatch has…
My experience with Minster Baywatch has been extremely disappointing. Despite being well within the appeals window, I received no meaningful response to any of my attempts to resolve a parking charge that was issued unfairly. I repeatedly tried to submit evidence, contacted them directly, and even had the business I visited confirm that I was a genuine paying customer — yet none of this was acknowledged.
Instead of engaging with my appeal, Minster Baywatch passed the matter straight to Gladstones Solicitors, who also failed to respond. This left me stuck between two parties who refused to communicate, while the situation escalated unnecessarily.
As someone in a professional role, I cannot have a court case hanging over me, and the stress caused by their lack of communication has been completely unacceptable. The way this has been handled feels dismissive, unhelpful, and deeply unprofessional.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Minster Baywatch to anyone. Their refusal to engage with a valid appeal and their poor communication have made this one of the most frustrating processes I’ve ever dealt with.
A dishonest company
A dishonest company. I parked and the Ringo app they use to collect parking fees was out of service. I dashed for my train and then tried repeatedly to get the app to work without success. I appealed on this basis and they simply rejected my appeal. These people are crooks.
Money grabbers
Charged me £100 fine for going over by 21 minutes of what I had paid to park in one of their car parks, even though I am disabled, displayed my badge and appealed (which they denied) letting them know that it takes me longer than able bodied people to get in and out of my car and to and from it. They are not complying with the Equality Act 2010 which includes a duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled motorists. Sickening.
Vermin at Teeside Park
Absolute bottom feeding reptiles.... hiding round corners praying on decent folk going about their business who have very little disposable income anyway. Only exist cause Internet scammers need heros.......scum
These lot are absolutely despicable
These lot are absolutely despicable. I got a 100 pound fine for waiting for someone for 16 minutes and then leaving. I had no idea of the area or could see any signage and it was a Sunday morning. I was simply meeting someone, then moving on. I was told in their letter that a reduced rate of 60 pounds was acceptable within 14 days. After that it's 100 and if I appeal its 100 if I lose. What a racket! Apparently you cant get in touch with someone. Be great to have an actual human to have it out with, but these lot are operating behind tightly shut doors and protecting their little racket! Disgusting!
A hateful experience all round
I hope NEVER to have dealings with this unscrupulous company again. We entered their car park, spent a couple of minutes unsuccessfully trying to understand how to pay, and left in frustration within 5 minutes. We were sent a notice of a £100 fine for having spent 1 hour 40 minutes in their car park without paying. They even included a photo of us leaving. Had there been a time stamp on this photo, it would have provided the proof that we left shortly after arriving. I foolishly decided to appeal, thinking that there must have been some mistake, which meant that we lost the early-payment discount; but there IS no appealing. There are no human beings on the ends of their phone lines and emails are automatically produced. Basically, they have you over a barrel. A hateful, de-humanizing, highly stressful experience all round.
