The PocDoc Healthy Heart Check is processed using PocDoc’s in-app image upload and processing system - the patented HUESnap®AI platform to deliver results within 7 minutes of taking the blood sample. The PocDoc Results Dashboard displays the results next to NHS recommended targets. This quickly enables a user to determine how their lipid levels compare to recommended levels as well as their overall level of cardiovascular risk and their healthy heart age. PocDoc’s 5-marker lipid test provides a comprehensive, accessible, and actionable approach to cardiovascular health, combining detailed results with app-based insights and flexible testing options.
I led two community-based cardiovascular screening events for ICHP, engaging just over 100 participants and creating an accessible, inclusive environment where people could quickly understand their heart health. Using the PocDoc five‑marker lipid test, attendees received a full lipid profile—including Total Cholesterol, HDL, Non‑HDL, Triglycerides, and the Cholesterol/HDL ratio—with results delivered in under eight minutes. Participants valued the speed, clarity, and personalised guidance, whether attending in person or using the app at home. Many reported that the experience empowered them to take control of their cardiovascular health, make informed lifestyle choices, and seek early intervention where needed. The events were smoothly coordinated, fostered strong community engagement, and generated actionable insights that will shape future initiatives. Overall, the screenings demonstrated the impact of bringing high‑quality, cost‑effective cardiovascular testing directly into the community, especially for those who may not access traditional clinical settings.

Unfortunately the test didn't work for…
Unfortunately the test didn't work for me even though I'm used to taking blood tests for diabetes (glucose). It's a great idea and wouldn't neglect it on one outcome. I do however ever have regular blood tests through the doctors mainly for rheumatology blood full count is taken which I have full access to.

I have a third test due to be delivered…
I have a third test due to be delivered as the 1st 2 failed. Apparently my photos of the test were too blurry. It's very difficult to photograph the test results as you cannot use the flash or camera light. Would not recommend, easier to see your doctor. Really disappointed as would have been an amazingly easy alternative to making a GP appointment. Test kit really easy to understand and use. Just the photo part, therefore actually getting results was a let down. Would be better with a guide of how to read your own results.

Life changing
To be part of such a widespread movement to understand the human body on both an individual and as a mass across all people and backgrounds I could not wait and felt that finally we could make a change for the better. It was just a simple finger prick test that highlighted certain aspects of my blood count that outlined my health. The knowledge gained has already been used to treat medical conditions around the whole world helping patients and medical teams endlessly. Fairly easy to use and re assured by my result 4.4 however coincidentally then had one taken at the GP a month later and it was 6.4. So questioning the accuracy of both sets of results.
