National Heater Shops Avis 

The product I ordered - a portable air conditioner - is fine and arrived in good condition. It was described as 'quiet'. Compared to my vacuum cleaner maybe. But I guess that is as much a fault of the manufacturer.

The exhaust duct extension hose I ordered, which was offered on the checkout page simply by ticking a box and you would therefore assume was made to fit, did not fit at all. I had to use extremely tight bungees just to get it to stay on the unit. It was also poor quality - hopelessly thermally inefficient (which mean most of the heat just ended up back in the room) and I managed to cut my finger on the sharp wires poking from each end of it.

To be fair, I did get a full refund for this, but I am left without a usable device.

But my real problem with National Heater Shops is their returns procedure. It involves a whopping 'restocking fee'. These are normal with certain products but I have never seen one as high. I calculated that, by the time I had included post and packing and this fee, I'd be lucky to get back much more than half of what I paid.

So, Buyer, be very careful before ordering. Make sure you that what you are ordering really is the right product for you.

They did what they said they would do. The product is first class, at a very good price and works well.

The item arrived in good condition very quickly.

My only criticism is that they were unable to tell me when it was arriving, not even which day, so that I could make sure someone was at home. As it happened the driver phoned me and said he was at my gate. I was in so there was no problem but there could have been.

Overall a first class company and a first class product. I will definitely use them again.

Absolutely disgusting service.

Paid over £600 for an a/c unit with a 6m extension pipe. A/C unit came but no extension asked for a full refund heard nothing then get invoice for the complete order. I’m still waiting on contact from the poor CS team who have no compassion.

Where are the goods I paid for. I’ve waited over a full week now and still no response

The price seemed cheap to begin with but once tax and shipping were added during checkout it was a lot more expensive compared to the initial advertised price. This is quite misleading and not what you would expect on a website selling products to the general public for home use.

I ended up contacting Powrmatic, who don't sell direct, but were happy to provide me with a list of approved resellers for their Vision air conditioner heat pumps. All of them were cheaper than National Heater Shops when comparing the grand totals inclusive of tax and shipping.

It would seem that this company prices products excluding tax to appear to be the best price online, only to jack up the price during checkout so it comes out a lot more expensive.

I ordered a dehumidifier (Igenix IG9821) on 20th May. It arrived on 21st. Excellent service and the product is most satisfactory, exactly as advertised. Communication from David Woodward of National Heater shops was excellent. Would recommend them highly

We had ordered bed bug heaters for several of our hotels and they were delivered fast, packaged well and work as they are supposed to. I would highly recommend this company as they are professional, customer focused and contactable.

Placed order for Reznor DS Series Destratification Fan x3 which arrived as per SLA and all in good condition. So the installation by the customer will be able to take place within stated book-in timeframe as goods received timeously.

Ordered a patio heater for a garden party which was delivered by dhl quite quick, the heater its self was packaged well but didn't really heat up the whole area, after speaking to chris in sales I realise I purchased the wrong one so I have just ordered another one to have on the other side to solve the problem.

I have dealt with Chris on numerous occasion and he is brilliant. Nothing is a problem and always comes back to me straight away. Service is quick and very reliable.

I first bought an aircon in 2023 (Woods) and received a lot of great advice from Chris. He wasn’t at all ‘pushy’ and I really felt he wanted me to have the best aircon for my needs and budget. I then looked elsewhere and came back to National Heater Shops, because they felt genuine and offered thorough and more personal customer service. I have now had to book in my aircon for a service and Chris organised the pick up arrangements under the warranty within one hour of my original call. Unheard of these days! I rarely leave reviews but felt one was very deserved here.

Excellent selection of cooling and heating equipment at very competitive pricing.

Required some urgent cooling units due to failure of an AHU and Chris was great in getting this confirmed and shipped quickly. Highly recommend.

Ordered some new heaters for a Marquee. The service was excellent with great advice prior to the purchase from Patrick and brilliant customer service from Chris post sale.

I ordered a air con unit which unfortunately the courier had lost in transit but Chris from national heater shops managed to sort a replacement out with no bother at all and made the process very easy.He went above and beyond to help me. Well done Chris.
