Bought a Noco GB150

Bought a GB150, it was brilliant at first. Very quickly/within two months it dropped from 12v to a 9v output, probably a faulty lithium pack. To this day, can't get it repaired. Such a shame because I really did think it was an awesome bit of kit when it worked. Wish it could be fixed.

Very poor quality and very bad service

Very poor quality and very bad service. Noco does good marketing and the packaging looks really nice... but what it is inside is horrible... we have s work Shop and bought a lot of the Noco stuff. We also use gys and ctek but Noco is the world champion in getting defective... 3-4 of 10 gb150 jumpstarters are defective... really crappy made in China quality and on the level of a 15 euro Charger. Service and communication really poor

Superb, build quality is good, anyone can use this, it's idiot proof. Well worth the money, no more jump starting car to car. Compact and very easy to charge and use, very pleased.

Excellent products & service

5 stars for the product and the way they dealt with a warranty claim. NOCO replaced the faulty product, and as the model I had wasn't made anymore, I got a free upgrade :) It was also as hassle free as possible. The G15000 I got is a very good product, too. All in all - glad I chose NOCO!

Just purchased from Auto Zone

Just purchased from Auto Zone. Haven’t needed to use it, but now I have it I probably won’t. I can’t comment on previous ratings because I haven’t had trouble requiring contact. I can say, which accounts for the five stars, this is the first company that gives you the option to scan your receipt to the registration..... why hasn’t anyone come up wit this sooner?? I can only think of the thousands of dollars we have lost having to replace items under warranty because I couldn’t find or the receipt got thrown away. Hoping I don’t need to use it, but if I do it’s already with the manufacturer.

Terrible customer service.

Purchased a Genius GB70 Boost/Charger that turned out to be faulty.
Customer service agreed to replace the unit, but almost 2 months later I still haven't received the replacement. Emails only occasionaly responded to telling me that I will receive an update "very soon".

G3500 battery charger. Slow, slow, S..L..O..W.........

While about a third through a long distance road journey my alternator failed. A garage replacement or full UK recovery was not possible inside a week as the town was to shut down next day for an annual festival and thereafter there were National holidays for a week to a month?

Chosen option was to charge my battery and head for home. Fortunately I had recently fitted an excellent Yuasa 5000 series 80a/h battery. Unfortunately there was no equivalent to ‘Halfords’ to buy a suitable charger from. I eventually found a motorist shop where the ‘best’ they could sell me was a Noco Genius G3500 charger - a 3.5 amp charger.

I was apprehensive because this suggests a charging time of around 23 hours. Basic physics states for a charging time divided the charger output into the battery capacity – e.g. 3.5amps into 80amp/hours = @ 22.86 hours. A 10 amp charger would do it in 8 hours. However, the packaging and the manual both state the G3500 is a ‘2X’ charger, using special technology to charge twice as fast. The manual states 80amps of charge in 11.5 hours.

I needed this as [a] I had to set out early next day to drive in daylight and not have to run lights, and [b] I didn’t want a second day/night in the hotel for £100.

12 hours later my battery was only showing half charged. I waited as long as I could/was allowed in the hotel lobby and even after 4 more hours the battery charge was only nudging 70%.

I should have known; “You canny change the Laws of physics.”
