Very efficient and prompt service

Ordering from Nordan has been seamless from start to finish. We visited the showroom, got a site visit and quote very quickly and upon ordering we got clear communication on a site survey and approximate installation date. We were communicated with clearly throughout the process with dates etc. We replaced 12 large windows so it was a big job but installers did long days and did everything correctly, coming back to ensure every detail was right. We had numerous visits and calls from Nordan reps throughout and after the install to ensure we were happy and to check if everything was to our satisfaction. Cannot fault the service from start to finish with their level of correspondence and customer support. We've used other window suppliers before and had to chase them to finish things and rectify things but not Nordan. Would highly recommend.

I got my sliding doors and hinged doors and windows replaced by Nordan's inhouse Dublin crew in 2024 (sliding doors) and 2025 (windows & hinged doors)

I was happy enough with the sliding doors , although the installation crew wasn't able to get one of them inset properly and as a result the external reveal is about an inch shallower than it should be. The installers were also very dusty - the dust-sheeting was very poor and I was hoovering dust out of my couches for weeks. It also took almost three months for the installers to come back and put the finishing touches on the install.

On the other hand, the window installation was VERY disapppointing. The sales guy made multiple mistakes on the quote that required three rounds of corrections. And he still got the glass spec. wrong for the bathroom (clear - not sand-blasted). He also didn't double check that the color I ordered matched the previous years doors - so now I have mismatched colors.

The installers worked at a ridiculously fast pace and didn't give a crap about gouging the window sills and walls. One of the windows they installed has hammer marks on it from where they beat it into the opening, and several of my windows are sticky opening and closing because the installers didn't prep the opening properly and just jammed the windows in.

The installers also did a very poor job of plaster repair after the installation, even after I complained about the quality and they came back (grudgingly) to fix things up.

But the biggest problem was that they cut into my existing window sills to fit the new (wide) windows which means that the internal reveals on some of the windows are now about two inches and my roller blinds don't fit any more. No discussion about this at all - they just came in and started sawing.

Two months after the installation, I'm still trying to get them to install proper kick panels beneath the hinged doors and replace the bathroom glass, but after emailing the sales guy for five weeks in a row, I'm giving up and just writing a review that reflects my experience everywhere I can.

Update: the company came back and installed kickpanels without notifying me. One of them blocked a floor vent, so I had to cut vent holes and fit a louvred vent myself into the kickpanel.

After attempting to reconnect my doorbell, I discovered that the installers must have damaged or cut the wire for the doorbell when they installed the front door. I liked having a backup to my wifi doorbell. But not any more I guess.

There’s a bunch of one star reviews here. I would read them as I can relate to them - they reflect my experience which was miserable. Expensive poor quality, dismissive evasive service and follow up, poor quality mechanisms, all feature for me. As an example I now don't open my French windows as I can only re lock them from the outside. And I don’t have the energy to pursue another issue.

We spent €26,000 on windows from Nordan and it has been nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish. The sales experience was smooth; right up until we paid the deposit. After that, everything fell apart.

We were blatantly misled about the delivery timeline, which had major knock-on effects on our entire build schedule. We were assured of an 8–10 week delivery from deposit payment. Based on this, we paid €8,500 to "secure our place in the queue." That was false assurance. Weeks passed with no updates. Repeated emails went unanswered or were brushed off. Then, suddenly, we were told the windows might arrive in Ireland (not to us) over a month later than their worst-case timeframe. Installation wouldn’t even happen until January this year, causing chaos with our build, tradespeople, and rental arrangements.

This delay has cost us thousands in extended rental and disrupted the entire construction process. No accountability, no apology, no meaningful compensation; just vague excuses and silence.

When the windows finally arrived, the issues only got worse:
- Three separate call-outs were required to fix broken locks and replace components.
- Handles were the wrong colour across the board.
- One of the largest panes was installed with a visible flaw (looks like a grain of sand in the glass with the glass visibly damaged around it) this now needs complete replacement.
- We were told the locks were breaking due to some “built-in anti-burglary system” – a laughable excuse for clear product defects.
- The sliding door handles don’t work properly and the so-called “safety catches” are stiff, awkward, and feel flimsy in everyday use.
- Months went by with exposed installation, leaving our home unsightly.
- The sliding doors are supposed to be flush with the floor, they are not.

This product is marketed as premium; in reality, it feels cheap, clunky, and like they could break any time you unlock the door. We are embarrassed to ask friends not to use the doors when we paid so much for them. The quality does not match the price point, and we feel thoroughly taken advantage of.

To add insult to injury, communication throughout this ordeal has been dismissive, evasive, and completely lacking in accountability. Despite the chaos and significant financial damage this caused, Nordan has done nothing to rectify the situation.

If you're reading this and considering using Nordan—don’t. Save yourself the stress, the expense, and the regret. We wish every day that we had gone with another supplier. This has been the most frustrating and disappointing purchase we have ever made.

This is my second time using Nordan Windows, having been very happy with work they did on my house 2 years ago. The customer service was excellent and everyone I dealt with from the salesman, to the installer, the service dept to the technician, was very pleasant and helpful. There was a minor issue with my door handle after a slider was installed. I sent an email to the service dept. Within an hour I had a response and an inspection date for a technician to visit. Bernard came the same day as he was on a job nearby and had the issue resolved in minutes! The slider looks great, feels extra secure and opens and closes smoothly. I will need my upstairs windows done in a year or so and will definitely go back to Nordan again.

Our initial contact with Nordan wasn’t great to be honest but once we made contact with Ravi in cork we had a much better experience. We have just had our windows fitted on a new build and we are very happy with the results. It takes about 3 to 4 months from first contact to fitting but I think this is much the same with any of the window companies I’ve had contact with. My advise is make contact early in you build, take your time deciding on exactly what you want and if you choose Nordan I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The fitting was very efficient and all the staff we dealt with at Nordan were very helpful. We are very happy with the end product.

Windows and doors in new build in Tipperary. Dealt with Ravi in Cork from the get go and was very happy with the detail and effort that he put into our quote and getting everything right. Just installed but are very happy with the quality of the windows. Door handles seem different to what we tested out in the showroom, could be improvements made with these I think.
Windows are exactly what we wanted. TG window seems to be a real winner. Be prepared to wait for your windows is all I would say, the longer lead times than irish companies can hold up the build quiet considerably, especially if traditional block house as wouldn't be able to order on agreed sizes. And until they land in the country there isn't really a tracking system in place so it's hard to plan trades etc.
Fitting was top class, Colin and his team were excellent and we would have no worries about the quality of fitting whatsoever.
The warranty is excellent compared to other companies and time will tell, but we are delighted we chose Nordan.

Den er vedlikeholdt med voks, likevel har den blitt ødelagt. Vi har mange andre boddører fra andre leverandører. Alle er like fin. Nordan nekter å ta reklamasjon på døren selv om de har innrømmet for oss at det er et dårlig produkt som de har sluttet å produsere. Den holdt ikke mål. Likevel tar de ikke ansvar. Jeg er 64 år og har lang erfaring med slike produkter. Det værste er at de ikke svarer oss ordentlig når vi ber dem om en begrunnelse for avslaget på reklamasjon. De klipper og limer inn et generelt svar om vedlikehold. Nå har jeg gått over til Sparevinduer som vi bestiller på nettet. Meget god kvalitet og rask levering. Ingen vits å bruke Nordan hvis de reklamerer med god garanti, men ikke tar ansvar den ene gangen du trenger at de holder ord. Du kan ikke stole 100% på Nordan. Det er helt åpenbart, dessverre.

We were there in person in Galway to consult.... a man was very nice & helpful, but we NEVER heard from him again. We called him several times, he kept putting us off.....until today, months later, no feedback, very unprofessional & dubious.
(the same thing happened with Rational, it's next door, I just can't believe how unprofessional both companies are)

Organized to have Nordan technician out on Wednsday to fit a window restrictor on window, which was fitted correctly when he called out, just I was not informed until this morning, 6 days later, but all very good afterwards in fact, so, happy to strongly reccomend Nordan.ie in the Dublin area at the very least!!!

Having been contacted by Stephen and discussing the below issues, an appointment was arranged to fix the broken window.
Bernard and his co-worker attended and fixed the window, fitting new hinges and seal. Bernard was extremely attentive, helpful and checked all windows and the back door. He restored my faith in the company, along with Stephen who phoned afterwards to check if I was happy with what had been done. This followup I would rate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am highly dissatisfied with NorDan product and service. I purchased a house which had recently been fitted with NorDan windows and have had a number of issues with them since. Most recently, an upstairs window sagged on one hinge and on trying to close it,it fell completely from the frame. The restrictor on this window and many others is no longer functioning(the windows are within a 10 year warranty). The window posed a massive safety hazard as it was sitting on the upstairs windowsill and I was afraid it would fall. I secured it with rope and contacted Customer Service and explained it was an emergency. I was emailed on the Monday ( I contacted on a Thursday) and asked for pictures which I sent on. A few emails were exchanged and I had to forward emails to reception again when not answered. Finally 2 weeks later on the Wednesday, just following a weather warning, I was given a couple of hours notice and told that someone would come to make the window secure. Obviously I had employed someone to do this previously as I wasn't going to leave the window loose on the frame as it posed a massive safety risk for falling on someone or something.
The blame was totally put back on me, telling me that it was damaged due to wind and that the windows should be serviced properly (bear in mind that a callout fee is €181.60).
It wasnt a very windy day when the window was damaged and NorDan quote on their website 'designed to...withstand the rigours of the harsh Norwegian climate'. I find this difficult to believe and false advertising if they are apportioning the blame for damage to my window on the Irish weather on an average day.

I also mentioned another issue I have which is that flies can enter inside the window frames. I was told that flies are a local issue and I should contact pest control. When I questioned if the flies are getting in because the windows are ill fitted or if this is a common problem with NorDan windows, my question was ignored and I was again told to contact pest control.

I most definitely would not recommend this company and find their customer service appalling.

Prompt & friendly service from Joe at Nordan (Dublin) today who came to check our sliding door and checked our side door and front door too. He was very knowledgeable. We are very happy with our Nordan products.

Hi all, we had a different experience to the others here, we bought entire windows, doors and sliders for our new build in mayo.what we got delivered in terms of sliders was not what we choose in the showroom, the showroom in galway has what we now know is a "generation 2" slider door, we were told we would be getting the latest "generation 3" and the only difference was the door handle locks in the top direction but this generation 3 door locking mechanism is so poor, its flimsy and gives no confidence of a secure locked door atall..we have 3 of these doors and we are very annoyed with the sales man Michael McDonagh there.nordan sent out service people but they cant change it now but acknowledged the gen 3 were not as good as the gen 2.make sure you ask to see a gen 3 before purchasing and test it in the locked position..if you are happy with the security of it then so be it. Rational version is far superior.we have to live with it now. Also, nordans utility door handles are upside down compared to the front door handles..if you like that sort of mis match thing.

From the get go, my experience was very good with Nordan. Initially I dealt with Lara, but when I came back to fully go through the detail we met Stephen carter. He was very professional and informative. Made everything very clear. The order was placed and I received the delivery early. The guys installed everything so well. Moving into the house in the next 2 weeks, so the installers are coming out to do a quick service to make sure all is as it should be. 5 stars for this company!

We had a local company out to put in a front door and a backdoor with much regret. We then decided to get new triple glazed windows and started looking around for a different supplier / Installer.
We came across Nordan Windows and I dropped in for a chat and met Stephen Carter ( very nice Fella). Stephen was very knowledgeable about the window we wanted and made some recommendations. To this day we are really happy with the Style, quality and installation. I would totally recommend Nordan windows Dublin The lads who did the install, they were very clean and tidy and minded not to damage anything during the process.
