Northboundgear Avis 

I bought a pair of Northbound adventure pants for my husband last fall. Initially he was so impressed that I bought another pair for him at Christmas. His first pair pilled and all the zipper pulls came off despite following the washing instructions. The second pair the back pocket zipper broke - both of these happened before the pants were even 6 months old. When we contacted the company to see if they would replace or repair the items all they offered was a discount coupon for our next purchase. Needless to say we won't be buying any more of these products if this is how the company responds to an obvious defect in their product.

This is my second pair. First one lasted me nearly 6 years od daily abuse through the winters. Excellent jeans. Look smart, keep you toasty and dry and are extremely durable!

I order a backpack last month (May 15, 2026) and still have not received it. When I messaged to see where it was early June. I was told it was lost in transit so they would get the warehouse to send another one. Only to find out the warehouse had a 17 day back order on it. Customer service has been friendly and I want to support Canadian companies. It’s good quality from other things I’ve ordered but if you need it asap I’d suggest ordering from somewhere else.

The pants I have bought from Northbound have delivered all the features and qualities promised. I have ordered additional pairs in different colors.

I’ve had quite a bit of NorthBoundGear’s kit over the past few years and haven’t been disappointed with any of it. Fair enough, delivery times may not be the quickest but Vancouver or even China, it matters not for me, are a long way from the UK but good things are worth waiting for… and Northbound gear is indeed quality kit, I’ve had quite a bit over the past few years and haven’t been disappointed with any of it.

Quite simply, I can’t rate NorthboundGear highly enough, from the quality of their garments to their customer care, all are exceptional. I have an Apex Jacket, two pairs of Adventure waterproof pants (and have just bought a third pair), two pairs of lightweight summer pants and a pair of belts. The Apex jacket: Sturdy, very well made, waterproof and very warm. For use in mountain conditions, the only suggestion I can make for improvement may require a new model (take note Northboundgear!). A wired peak added to the hood and perhaps 4 or 6 inches longer (to protect the thighs) would both serve well in very bad, wet, weather. Further adjustment I can’t think of, it is an excellent jacket.

The Adventure Pants: Again, excellent kit. I bought my first pair about 3 years ago, immediately impressed with them, I bought a second pair shortly afterwards, both have been worn constantly and are still going strong. They’re suitable for mountain ware, casual, work ware or even just lounging about in, all of which I use them for. They’re both tough and very comfortable. I can’t suggest any improvements. The lightweight Summer Pants. I have to confess, these are my least worn items. In the UK we no longer seem to have hot summers, I’m sure if we did these pants would come into their own. As it is, I find they work exceptionally well as a very lightweight waterproof over trouser. Customer care and return policy are exceptional! Make of that what you will but I’m a very happy customer of Northbound gear.

These are exactly the kind of quality I've been shopping all over for. The exact same materials as the more extreme priced brands in the outdoor markets. I have purchased a number of items from Northbound Gear.Their products are great quality and are good value for money. Just remember that you need to allow a little time for delivery as they are shipped direct from the factory which helps to keep prices down.
I have the Adventure pants which I use for hunting.They are strong,very comfortable and warm,stains simply wipe off.
I ordered a second pair soon after wearing my first pair.
I now have some of the Northbound summer pants on order.
The order process is simple and the communication from Northbound is excellent.
I highly recommend Northbound gear and their products.

Great products and company, over the past few years I have purchased three pair of water resistant pants from Northbound gear. These are the best water resistant, comfortable, hardwearing pants I’ve ever owned and they’re warm in winter. Easy to order online and a fast delivery service to the UK. Genuinely I’ve tried other cheaper companies who advertise similar, but it’s all rubbish compared to Northbound gear. That’s why I always go back to them.

I recently picked up a camping mattress/sleeping pad from North Peak Gear and overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The quality is genuinely good it's comfortable, holds up well, and feels durable enough to handle regular outdoor use. For the price point, it delivers solid value and doesn't feel like a budget compromise at all.
Setting it up was straightforward, and the compact pack-down size makes it easy to throw in a bag without taking up too much space. Whether you're car camping or heading out on a longer trip, it does the job well.
That said, it wasn't a completely flawless experience delivery took a bit longer than I'd have liked, and clearer shipping updates along the way would have helped ease the wait. But once it arrived, I was glad I stuck it out.

I ordered the wrong size but the staff at Northbound made the exchange for the right size simple, easy and fast.

The fit was good but not what I expected. Ordering and delivery was good, little longer than expected but not bad.

Customer service were great and sorted out my queries. Shipping was fast and the products are first class.

I bought my first pair of adventure trousers from Northbound Gear in November of last year primarily for riding my recumbent trike and also for walking our dogs and general use. I have since bought another 3 pairs in each of the colours. I have used different trousers in the past and with all of them the seam and material where I sit has worn through very quickly (within about 3 months) because the nylon mesh on my trikes padded seat is quite rough. However, with Northbound Gear adventure trousers this hasn't been the case. As I mentioned I now have four pairs and I rotate them and so far there isn't any evidence of wear on any of them. Currently they are the only trousers I wear ie for riding my recumbent trike, walking our dogs, DIY, general everyday use and traveling. The reason for this is simple, they are comfortable, warm and exceptionally hard wearing. I also bought the belt which is just as well made and is very easy to fasten/unfasten even with gloves on or with cold hands. I find the fit to very good and there is plenty of give thanks to the 4 way stretch of the material. As a former competitive cyclist in the past I have bought cycling specific clothing that costs far more than these trousers but wear out much quicker. The pockets are spacious and can easily hold the largest of mobile phones and even the lining of the pockets are durable as I keep my bunch of keys in the pocket and there is no sign of wear there either. In my view they are definitely worth the money

À 235$ pairs of trousses we’re the belt button fall down acter two weeks. The client support didn’t know what to answer to me….. they gave me a 10 $ relate….. it is a quite poor experience from my point of view. Ciao!

Very professional, kept me informed of delivery progress (disruptions beyond their control). Really pleased with the trousers, good quality fabric, great cut and really comfortable for daily extended wear.

Pants fit and are well made.

To be honest , this all started by getting a pair of lined adventure pants for snow clearing.Turns out I had to get another pair because I didn't want to take the first pair off long enough to put them in the laundry- so another pair of adventure pants was ordered and while I was at it, why not get a pair of summers with zip off legs? Warm weather brought the need for another pair of summer slacks which just arrived last week - as comfortable as the others and great for golf. I'd love to order another pair for the summer but the ones I have are so durable...but if I go on a trip I should pack an extra pair...shouldn't I? Love the products...comfortable and durable - can't ask for more.Highly recommend!
