This company is a scam. They aren't even in Canada. They do not ship their product, they create false shipping labels, they take your money and thats the last you see of it-the product never even gets shipped.

Like wearing a wetsuit would be a compliment. Their pants are horrible
The pants are horrible. They just feel wrong. The design and material (glued in liner?) makes them uncomfortable. If I was standing in the rain in a cold day not moving perhaps useful?!? No desire to wear them hiking, climbing, walking or any type of exercise/activity. Unfortunately I found this site after I purchased them - read another review that states they feel like wearing a wetsuit. I wear a wetsuit for multiple sports for extended periods of time and this would be a compliment for these pants. Do yourself a favor, do not purchase these pants.
Pants can not be returned if you remove the tags. Items with a tag a subject to a restocking fee.
Quality, form or function is not present with this product. Avoid.
Follow up to Northbound - No need to give you the order number as we have already attempted this exercise without any resolution. The larger issue - if someone is looking to purchase these pants for outdoor activities then they should look elsewhere. I wish I found reviews like this before purchasing opposed to the marketing information I reviewed from your organization and affiliates. This error is on me and I recognize that - not reading independent reviews. Donating the pants to charity.

Shocking
Shocking. So the wrong size was sent at a cost of over £70 and it cost over £20 to return the item and I am still waiting for the £52 two months later. They keep trying to offer me discounts and delaying.
Don’t waste your money. Plenty good British companies produce breathable warm dry kit why throw your money away to a Canadian company that is not bound by a U.K. consumer agreement.

Do Not give this company your money
I ordered $600 worth of Christmas gifts on November 28. No sign of the package. i have emailed numerous times and each time they send me a new tracking number. When I contact the shipping company, they have not received the package. Essentially, they are making fake shipping labels from their office. I have asked for a refund and to cancel my order. although they have no idea where my "items" are they refuse a refund. It is now Dec 16th and no idea where my package is and I am $600 poorer. You can not leave a google review on their site. I do not believe this is a legitimate company at this point.
It is now Dec 23rd, 4 weeks since I ordered and all the tracking labels I received from Northbound Gear are still stating that the package has not been received. I keep asking for a refund and they state "If you read the fine print, our orders could take up to 4 weeks." It is now 4 weeks so lets see if I receive a refund. I have never dealt with such a horrific company that spews lies to their customers like this one.

Horribly sweaty trousers
The trousers arrived on time and as promised but… they are made of a material that is water resistant but feels like wearing a wetsuit. The first time you get warm they don’t breath and you sweat horribly. They were very uncomfortable very quickly.

My dad ordered my pants through his account, which is why you can't find me under this email. There is nothing you can do, other than return my dad's money. You are sending items from China, yet you are a Canadian company. You could at least have a warehouse in Canada so that items don't jave to go through customs when shipped.
How can anyone run a competitive online business today by shipping items in the cheapest way possible that normally results in 3-4 week delivery times? Add to that Canada's current postal workers strike and I am going into the 3rd month of waiting for it to arrive. It appears that this winter may be over before I'll get it, providing that I get it at all. Many customer comments reflect on these horrendous Northbound Gear shipping practices and considering their time stamps, the company hasn't been doing much to address this issue. I will never order from them again, even if they provide the best quality and price in the world. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere if you plan to enjoy you purchases.

I ordered pants and they provided fake shipping details as I went to my local post office and they said the sender never sent the item or arranged for pickup with courier. It prompted me to go online and read a ton of other people sharing their similar experiences. Went contacted, the company said they were working on getting me my item however I have never ordered clothes from a company who personally writes you emails promising for something to happen. It smells of desperation and this company should not be trusted. Do not buy from them.

Northbound Waterproof Pants are Awesome!
Recently purchased two pair of the waterproof Explorer pants - in black and grey. I've worn them on several hikes and found them to be extremely comfortable! They have excellent stretch and are warm and waterproof. From the quality of construction, I expect these will last me a very long time!
You can see how they repel water in the video. They're lined with a very soft felt and are very smooth against your skin. The pockets are very roomy and also lined with the same soft felt so will help protect a phone or anything you place in them.

Northbound gear was awesome. The backpack and gators were quality items. Shipping took a bit of time, but the weight was worth it because of the value. The price was right the quality was there! I will definitely buy from these guys again!

Adventure pants for hunting
At first I was not sure what to expect. I'm not into spending a lot on hunting gear. After a few months of hard weather hunting, I know I will not wear anything else. The adventure pants are incredibly comfortable. Warm but somehow breathable at the same time. I have never over heated. I was disappointed the knees where not slightly padded but the construction of the knee is extremely durable and I haven't thought about padding at all. The pockets are excellent and the material is quiet. I would highly recommend and will be looking at further items in the future. Bonus for me is that they are a Canadian company. E-mailed about shipping times and received a response very quickly. Well done.

Incredible quality
The time it took for my purchase to get to me was fairly quick considering I’m all the way over here in Australia, I have bought both the fleece and the summer pants and the quality of them is impeccable I haven’t had the chance to truly try the fleece in the cold yet but can’t wait for my next winter kayak/camping trip up the river and I absolutely love the summer pants, they are so light and breathable and perfect for work. I have already recommended Northbound Gear to so many of my friends

These probably will be used on Mars someday on the regular.
This company has provided me with pants that actually prove the test of time. I recently ordered the same pants after over 4 years of using the original pants over and over. And I plan to keep using the original pants. Its very difficult to find weatherproof, wear proof, breathable yet resistant products. Its worth the cost, and honestly they should be renamed the unbreakable. When its sleet, firm snow, or just a cold rainy day out on the trail, I immediately use these and almost always just them. If its super cold, some thermal leggings fit perfectly within them. Highly recommended.

Minor tear but saved my sons legs.
My 14 year old son just started completing his Duke of Edinburgh bronze and on his second 2 day camp took a 20 foot stumble over a cliff edge, suffering a few bumps and bruises but nothing too serious, I attribute that to "Luck" and him wearing his "Adventure" Water Resistant Pants which did suffer a minor tear but saved him having damage to his legs.

I’m a HUGE fan of Northbound Gear!
I’m a big fan of the Northbound Gear products. They are fantastic. Especially the winter pants. I call them my “cozy pants” and I own 4 pairs. Keep 2 pairs in the city (Toronto) and 2 pairs at our cottage up north. As a big hiker and walker, I use them daily in the winter. I’m also a big fan of the day pack and use it often, including on our annual hike in the Alps in July.

Great shopping experience. Love the company's values. Honestly, love the pants. The stitching did start to split after barely three months of non-strenuous use, which is unfortunate, but the materials are quality so hopefully it's just a one-off problem. Would still order from Northbound again.
Edit to add: Northbound Gear's customer service was top tier in helping take care of the issue I had. I've since ordered again. Happy to recommend this company and their products.
