Tried the sock for fit and although they seem to have somewhat of a “neoprene” feel (a little thicker and heavier than traditional sock) the fit was quite streamlined, relatively snug and comfortable... Voir plus

Men's adventure pants- excellent
Picked up a second pair of the adventure pants. Super warm, fit is true and very comfortable. I have not adventured beyond my yard so cannot comment on water resistance or durability but they seem well made.

Fantastic Brand
I began collaborating with Northbound Gear in 2020 when I purchased their Adventure Pants. I was highly impressed by the waterproof technology and comfort they provided. Even four years later, I still frequently wear them for hiking. Since 2020, I have had the opportunity to evaluate multiple Northbound Gear products, with nearly all of them proving to be of exceptional quality and performance. The brand has consistently shown professionalism in receiving feedback during product testing. Northbound Gear continues to introduce innovative products, such as their Waterproof Jeans and most recently, the DryShield Waterproof Field Jacket. Real Outdoors
I received 2 pieces of clothing from Northbound.
Adventure pants and a summer cooling hoodie.
Both served their purposes with great efficacity.
Personally for the adventure pants I would've loved another color combination but the performance is still there.
I had some great time with it.
Same thing for the hoodie.
I was not looking to hike the Everest, just your casual run in nature.
They truly fulfilled that desire of mine.

One of the worst customer experiences…
One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. Multiple belt loops broke/started breaking after two normal wears. Reached out for an exchange, and they wouldn't even give me that... but they'd happily give me a coupon for my trouble to buy more of their shoddy merchandise. Even worse, after they offered me 50% off... they wrote back to offer me *less*... and then wrote once more to offer me 50% again as a "final offer."
Do not buy from this company.
EDIT: I think their response below really shows the issue: very polite while still not getting the problem or offering a real solution. I'd had these pants for less than 4 months; I should not have 4 broken belt loops from normal wear. A reputable company that actually cared would just give me an exchange for the same pants I'd bought. Instead, they're very politely offering me $20 to take down my review.
If you buy from them, be prepared to have your items fall apart quickly, and be stuck in a maddening loop of coupons and offers to buy more of their product without actually offering to make you whole or fix the problem.

I just received a pair of Adventure pants. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait fore next winter! They are really warm and the build quality looks excellent.

Love it. Great travel knapsack
I had a last minute trip that would affect delivery timelines. I did not want to cancel but not sure what to do. Ali, Customer Support, replied promptly and let me know that I could have it couriered. This was the best solution and courier fee was very reasonable. It was a very good purchase experience. I absolutely love this bag -the design and quality are excellent. I would not find this in retail.

Quality Canadian Designed Outdoor Gear
I hadn’t heard of Northbound Gear when I went looking for some new hiking pants but they are Canadian, which is a big plus for me and their products looked good online. Plus it was great to come across a company that recognised that there are men out there that have 28” inseams! so I ordered a pair Men's "Explorer" Water Resistant Summer Pants. The shipping time was a bit longer than other retailers but the quality, style and features were definitely worth the wait. All zippered pockets, nicely tapered legs for hiking pants plus an elasticated waist allowing me to dispense with a belt, a big plus. All told I am extremely happy with my purchase and will definitely come back to Northbound Gear when I’m looking for quality, well priced outdoor wear in the future.

Fabulous trousers and exactly what I need as a pro wildlife photographer in the highlands of scotland. Waist a little larger than expected, but the elasticated waistband does make them significantly more comfortable when contorted on the beach. Early days, but the seem extremely well made with good quality fabrics, so should stand the test of time.

Pretty good but...
I've bought two pairs of the women's Adventure pants and the Weatherproof Tactical Jacket (now discontinued).
The pants are amazing; exactly as advertised. The only thing I didn't like were they were very, very snug around my thighs despite being loose around the waist, and the snap belt broke within a few days of use.
The jacket was a bit more problematic. The material isn't as waterproof as claimed; it soaked through after 15mins of medium rainfall. The zipper undersides aren't padded, so it's very uncomfortable to wear without layers underneath to protect your skin. Otherwise the pockets are handy, and the jacket is warm and mostly windproof.
The return service was great, I bought the L size and found it to be a bit too snug. I was able to return it and get an XL size fairly quickly despite me being in NZ.

This means it's designed to resist water to some extent but may not completely withstand heavy downpours or prolonged exposure to wet conditions. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. Beware of zipper..
The pants are really great in that they are light and warm. I wear under my waders when flyfishing or ski wear and the are comfortable and keep me warm.
However, there are some serious drawbacks. First of all as you've seen it takes months to get delivery. But that I can live with.
Secondly and the biggest issue is the zippers. They are really cheap and do not stay closed. I cannot wear my pants out in public without my waders or ski pants over them because the fly zipper will not stay closed. I've fixed a dozen times and still within a short time zipper is unclasped and my fly is back open. Quite embarrassing.
