Tried the sock for fit and although they seem to have somewhat of a “neoprene” feel (a little thicker and heavier than traditional sock) the fit was quite streamlined, relatively snug and comfortable... Voir plus

I will update my review when/if I get my order. So far my beef is that there was no indication of shipping wait times. Customer service has been of no help as all they kept saying is "be assured that it has been shipped" however the Canada Post tracking number does not show that it has been shipped. After I told them that they again said to be assured that it has been shipped although there was no way that she was able to confirm that, but did say that it could take up to 4 weeks. She told me that the adventure pants I ordered is coming from China, which was news to me and now I am concerned of the quality as well. I wish that it they would let the customer know at the time of the order that it could take that long to get the order and that it ships from China. Anyways, I will see how long it takes to get the order and will update my review on the quality.
Update: I received my pants about 3-1/2 weeks after the order. Pants are just okay, not really designed to stretch in the crotch or thigh area when hiking. I would consider them more of a walking pants than hiking.

Return Shipping is to Canada
The pants I received stated to have a 28 inch inseam when I ordered them and was the main reason why I ordered them. The actual inseam was 30 inches so that would not work for me so I tried to return them. There return policy states it is simple but that is not the case. All returns have to be sent to Canada which was not stated in their policy when I ordered them. Returning to Canada cost $35, but wait they got stuck in customs which was going to cost another $32 so I was going to have to spend $67 to return pants that I paid $100 for plus a $5 restocking fee. My pants are not headed back to me I am out $135 dollars and don't have pants that I can wear. I recommend not using this company.
Quick update: some how my pants were delivered to the Canadian return facility and the company said they would refund my money (waiting for it to hit my credit card) I am moving up my rating to 2 from a 1 because the refund policy is still too much money and too difficult. The CEO also reached out to me but did not directly address the shipping concerns.

There are so many positives about this company but I'll start with customer service. I made a purchase recently that entailed some back and forth. Where other companies would have hesitated, made further queries, redirected and surmised, this company listened and responded without missing a beat. My new opPANTunities
I use online shopping very often. But nothing good worked out with the clothes. The size did not fit, or the color was not at all the same as in the photo. Or the material was of poor quality. Men`s "Adventure`` Water Resistant Pants had come as a pleasant surprise. I received the package the day before yesterday, and today I had a great opportunity to test them to the fullest.
I'm not a hunter or a fisherman, but I spend a lot of time outside. I don't have a car, I walk or bike to work and it's often a fairly long distance. Today in the morning we enjoyed a snowstorm, when I was on my way back home wet snow turned into rain.
The pants have passed all the harsh tests.Waterproof, warm, very comfortable they are indeed. I think now, even in harsh winter, I will be able to stay outside longer and in harsher conditions. The motto that came to mind was: New Pants are my new opPANTSunities. I'm thinking about buying a jacket from the same company.
P.S. I was unsure about what size pants I should buy. I wrote an email to customer service and received a response within five minutes.

Amazing Women's Adventure High Waisted Water Resistant Pants
I recently bought the black women's "Adventure" water resistant high waisted pants. They are PHENOMENAL! I originally bought the size 8s, however had to exchange them for a size 6. So consider "downsizing" one size, if your usual pants/slacks/jeans are a size 8. They are warm, windproof, comfy, not bulky, and in addition to wearing them on those chilly dog walk days, they can also be worn at your place of work, as you race from your parked car to work on those -25 C windy days!

Postage Too Expensive To Return to Canada from the US
I ordered a pair of Men's Adventure Water Resistance Pants for my son. I had ordered the same pants the prior year and they fit perfectly. This year when they came they were cut a little tight in the rear. I returned them. The cost of postage from Oregon to Surrey, BC Canada was $23.40. They do not reimburse you for postage. Plus I did have to call them since I had not heard from them after 10 days of the returned pants being received by them. The credit of $100 was received to day,13 days after they had the pants back. I will not order from them again. Their product is good but if it doesn't fit or you don't like the quality , it is just too expensive to return. It's a shame they don't pay for the return postage like so many other companies.

Finally got the pants - too late for my son's birthday and had to spend another $25 to ship it, BUT he absolutely loves the pants and I am grateful for that.
4 stars ONLY because of the length of time it took (we live in an Amazon world now and 20 days is a lot) and the poor tracking, but NOT a fake company and they have a great product.

The pants are nice, but…
The pants are nice, but the customer service? They sent me a 25% off coupon, with no expiration date, and when I went to use it a couple days later, it was no good. Then they had the nerve to tell me that it had a time limit Which did not, and they offer me 15% off. So I told them they lost the customer for 10%… And I never heard back from them.

Shipping is not too fast, but their product is descent quality. Great water resistance and you can choose the length of the pants which akes it perfect custom fit!

My New Favourite Pant
My pant order allowed me to get the right size as it pertains to waist and inseam so, zero altering needed which is great. Zippers on the pockets are excellent quality, even with winter gloves on the slide up and down easily, helps when in a hurry. The best part is the lining in the pant, very warm outside and inside you dont heat up at all. My new favourite pants for hiking, lounging and just walking around.

No nonsense hiking clothing
No nonsense hiking, fishing, outdoors clothing. The water resistant pants are awesome for fly fishing on cool, damp days or hiking in the fall or winter. I wore these in Boulder Colorado in January and was quite warm.

Just OK.. don’t be fooled
At first I was very happy with the men’s adventure pant. Stretch and comfort for hiking, fishing and hunting fall and winter, however after a few months they seem to be wearing and I also had a zipper (on a pocket rarely use) let go. The company only offered a 30% discount for a replacement. Customer service is quick to respond but be prepared for painfully slow shipping. The exchange policy is brutal as you have to pay for return shipping. Don’t be fooled by the flashy website and compiled reviews. Spend a few extra dollars for a better pant that will last and the company stands behind its defects.

I suppose the emails, pictures, and back and forth regarding the issue wasn’t enough the first time.
Shop elsewhere this company is overpriced. Has extra costs and the product isn’t worth the price. Nothing I have purchased is worth what I paid (adventure pants, belt, toque, gators) shop Amazon you’ll be better off or brand name if your looking for quality.

Cost of Return
I thought the pants I bought were very good quality but they just didn’t fit right for me. The item that I purchased was $105. Had I know that my return would be to Canada and it would cost $25 in postage I would not have tried your product

Beware of buying from Northbound gear
I purchased a pair of ladies waterproof trousers in November. They arrived with an inch slit in the fabric on the leg. I sent photos of the cut, and photos of the packaging showing the cut. Northbound gear have refused to offer any recompense, despite evidence showing that I received faulty goods. Buy from them at your peril, as you have no rights from them if there is a problem.

Never order clothes online!
Ordered a pair of pants to my exact size. Arrived in 13 days. The are way too big! Not sure if they were mislabeled or not but I could fit a pillow in the excess and dress up as Santa.
They did not have the next size down so I started a return. Return shipping, plus 5$ for restocking fee, is over 33$ so through no fault of my own I'm out 33$ .

Northbound Gear is a company that lives up to its word. They give great customer service and trustworthiness. They even contacted me last Thanksgiving to get the order right.
Their gear is durable, comfortable, and trendy. It is clothing that can be worn in a public setting or hiking the ruggedness of the outdoors. I work in Rocky Mountain National Park and Northbound Gear will be a staple of my outdoor clothing.
I have bought outdoor clothing from other companies and Northbound Gear jumped to the top of that list.
