Canceled Over Cardboard: A Masterclass in Poor Customer Service, Zero Common Sense, and a Total Headache. Stay Away From Openly
Stay far away from Openly.
Weeks after my policy started, they canceled coverage because my town's bylaws supposedly make homes in the area "Historical." Isn't this something they should have caught on day one from my address?
On top of that, Openly botched the transition, creating escrow messes, payment delays, and refund headaches I'm still dealing with.
Their underwriters then canceled the policy over unspecified "trash/debris" on the property. The only thing I can possibly think of was broken-down cardboard boxes next to my recycling bins the day before trash day. Two other inspection findings could have been cleared up with a quick phone call (in fact, one was literally in process of being resolved and the service was scheduled), but Openly lacks common sense, professionalism, and completely "took the humanity out."
Unprofessional, inflexible, and completely unreasonable. Save yourself the headache. And don't have the underwriting inspection the day before trash day, apparently.

Scamers and fraudulent company.
They even deleted their Google page where you could you see tons of 1 star reviews
They will do everything not to cover.
I own multiple proper and businesses, I've never seen a lier like them...

Your rates were fantastic and it was an easy sell except when attempting to bind I received an error message and had to call in for assistance. I guess it's a known error where you have to manually type in the customer's email at the bind screen instead of copying and pasting. The rep who helped was knowledgeable and quickly assisted so I could bind the policy.

Openly charges very high premium with home insurance. Joined with good rates and over the period they gradually increased the premiums and not easy way to connect with customer service for claims. Planning to switch from openly to another insurance. Price is high.
