It looks to me,that something did happen to the retina,in my eye when I had an eye test,a detached retina is caused from a blow,to the eye,well I certainly had that,with the puff/blast from the tenometer,I had the symptoms,flashes and cobwebs I was left with a black spot/hole in the eye gel,that has now developed into a cataract,condition,are there other people who have not developed noticeable symptoms but then go on to develop cataracts,?it is so hurtful. I also have another symptom of retina damage e.g.being unable to focus properly distorted messages to the brain,very frightening and worrying,that I have to go through this because of someone else abusing me,and her position.Sorry but there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever this is what happened to me.

I bought a pair for the sun and one for reading from the airport west store in Melbourne .
Within 6 months the sunglasses plastic lenses lost their focal properties and soon useless. The reading glasses Plastic frames were only used at home and soon fell apart , cracking . I have repaired them several times until lens kept falling out . What a rip off . I’m surprised they are still in business.

Products on AU online stored are shipped from China - beware
Before ordering my frames I called OPSM specifically to check whether their products were supplied locally - obviously with the Corona Virus and the delays that go with it, I didn't want to order a product from overseas at this time.
On April 1 I received a note from OPSM saying that the item had been shipped and I should have it in 2 - 6 business days.
8 days later when the item had not arrived, i called OPSM and confessed to me that the frames were being shipped from China.
Why is this not made clear during the checkout process that products are shipped from China?
Unsatisfactory service
Understandably , with COVID 19, services and staff are reduced. Jowever, I amverysure OPSM.could be a little more effective and efficient cancelling their clients in proper timing
First: appointment made at Guanghalin, was cancelled within.2days.
Asked to book with Belconnen or Woden.
Appointment made with Belconnen at 0945 on monday, which is today 6 april.
Thrn received a call yesterday to pushback till 12noon.
Then at 0940 hrs, received a call asking questions of neccesity of appointment. I really think this IS STAFF INEFFICIENCY!! Why are these questions not asked right at the beginning!! Staff shouldbe more proactive in scheduling, instead of wasting time on all repeat calls.

I have purchased 3 sets of Prescription glasses from OPSM In store now with only one problem that was rectified immediately,
1 - Spent $700 on a set of Oakley glasses, great service very friendly,
Took just over a week for the lenses to arrive but when they did they were made slightly wrong,
The staff rectified the lense within a week and had no problems after that.
2 & 3 - Spent $800 for both,
I purchased a set of Script Sunnies and replaced the oakleys with some raybans with all the extras,
Staff were great everything I wanted turned up as expected and so far so good.
Highly recommend thanks OPSM!!

Lots of optional extras were added to my order without my consent or knowledge.
I canceled the orders and complained and my complaint was not even acknowledged.
Beware of using this optician service.
