I stopped the program after four days

I stopped the program after four days. The coach was aware I have a limited budget to purchase groceries. She said a month's fueling with be about $400. I have a Cameron lesions and anemia. She reassured me that would not be a problem. I thought I would not have to buy any additional food. However, one cooked meal per day is recommended so I would have to buy "real" food anyway. I returned the unopened boxes and I have yet to receive my refund, after three weeks. The emails claim your return will be investigated and we will contact you. You can't speak to a live person.

TRILIVY - This company is always changing names to hide it's bad rep.

This company is always changing names. Medfast, then Optavia and now Trilivy. It is bad processed food. Nothing but Soy powder proteins. For men, you will grow bigger boobs, guaranteed. They keep changing their name because they are getting a bad reputation for many things. So they try to hide their misdeeds with a new name. They Autoship your orders, and if you try to stop the order from happening, they screw you over and ship it anyway. Then you have to pay to return it. The fuelings cause stomach issues, gas and constipation. They keep you hooked on sweet processed packets or bars. If you follow it to a T, you can lose weight, but it always comes back on. It is NOT a healthy plan at all. You will also starve. So to combat the starving part, they are now pushing GLP-1's. It just keeps getting worse.

I have been on the program for little…

I have been on the program for little over a year now. With an old coach and replacement of new coach . Let me say this in beginning it was hard, it was more me over thinking things at times. Which cause me to renounce twice .. I’ve learned a great deal.. balance what you eat and balance your intake has its rewards .. the reason people have a hard time with it is because they think they are starving that’s because after two weeks your body jumps into a fast metabolism mode and makes you feel more hungry I got used to it . It definitely beats all those late night heart burns and taste of blood in my stomach , body aches , eating bad food , over doing it. Not sleeping well so on arthritis through out my body is definitely gone lost about 36 pounds and still keeping it off.. I don’t use customer services I use my couch and online orders although I did have an issue once with auto ordering they took it off ..

Terrible experience & extremely expensive

Waste of time & money & effort . I had a panic attack because I was forced to eat powdered, processed garbage & starve myself & measure everything . I was treated horribly by my so-called coaches who just wanted to make a buck & had no compassion.I would not recommend this for anyone, unless you want to go broke & destroy your self-esteem.

They won't let you out of the cult

I purchased the fuelings. On the first day I got deathly ill from an allergic reaction to the amount of soy in the products. The coaches wanted me to exchange the products for ones without soy but they had other ingredients I was allergic to. Optavia made it difficult to return the entire order. I told the rep I was returning the entire order which contained 3 open boxes. I get back an email saying I'm only getting back $ for the closed boxes. When I call back the next day their phone msg said they are only helping via chat. The chat is busy too so you must go to a site and submit a request for them to look into the problem. This reminds me of a cult & I'm sorry I got involved. Now the coaches who made time for me don't want to help either. Its more like Scientology than weight loss.

I ordered magnesium tablets in January and it is now March and I have asked for a refund and get no reply. I think I have been scammed and have lost $59. Don’t order from them if you don’t want to be thoroughly disappointed!

Horrible "customer service"

Horrible "customer service"! After receiving my first box I realized that the program wasn't recommended for those dealing with eating disorders, so I contacted them about returning the unopened box. I was given the run around back and forth between the app and the website, and then told that I had already submitted a return online, which was false. After many repeated attempts to obtain a shipping label I just gave up. All of a sudden neither the app or website were functioning anymore. Basically they claim that returns a acceptable but it's virtually impossible to complete the process in order to ship the box! So I'm out $400+. I would never ever recommend this company to a single soul.

Not real food

I decided to try this because one of my Facebook friends raved about it. I thought it was like nutrisystem where they give you what to eat for the week and you just supplement your fruits and veggies and have weekends off. Some of their foods were nothing to write home about but the OPTAVIA fuelings are even worse! I like maybe 3 of them.

What really bugged me was that I couldn’t just pick what I wanted from the get go. The result was a box with 80% sweet stuff. Who eats sugar all day?? I was able to get most of it replaced but why have to go through the hassle? Then I had to give my CC number to my coach, which made me nervous but I trust her. I’ve just never heard of anything like that before. The first week I was hungry all the time and had headaches. Was told I had to purchase extra stuff like electrolytes because of the low sodium in the “food”. The lean and green part of it is not clear unless you follow their recipes, and even then the measurements are questionable. I lost 4lbs the first week and the second week I’m stuck. I won’t be getting more once I’m done with this. I can just have chat gpt write me a macros plan and buy my own real food at the store and get my weekends back. I wish I had thought of that before I jumped into this. The first box was expensive and that’s with a discount!

If I could give them a negative number…

If I could give them a negative number rating I would. First, the coach I had was new to Optavia. I initially began with a two-week program. At the beginning of week one, my coach began talking about the next order. My issue was I haven't started the products yet and you are asking me for another order. After two days, I decided to put the order on hold. I requested my coach put the order on hold until I was ready. I was informed by my coach it would be on hold. I wake up the very next morning, only to find out my credit card had been billed for $391? I contacted my coach and asked why this happened? I was informed they were not sure. I was informed they felt my wife and I had worked everything out on our own. No, the coach didn't do their job. I had to cancel my bank credit card so Optavia could not continue to charge me. I had to badger both my coach and her co-coach throughout the process. It appeared neither one of them read their texts. The order, I did not order, came in and 75% of the order were items I never eat. I did not get the order initially because Optavia put the wrong ship to address on the box. It was one thing after the other. I returned all items without opening the box. Unbelievable how poorly the whole process was. Beware!

Don’t do this - unhealthy expensive unsustainable.

I went on this about 3 years ago. I lost a lot of weight though it was unpleasant. Of course I was so starved that afterwards I put much of it back on again. So I did it again. Lost less but it went back on again quickly.

The problem is that you are just eating a bunch of soy (which made me pee nonstop) and there is no strategy or meal planning for afterwards. And they discourage exercising. Not a good long term strategy. And it’s expensive for a bunch of soy in a pouch.

I am now on the Mayo Clininc Diet. Eating real healthful food that I buy myself at the store. I get a grocery list and recipes at the beginning of the week. Nutritionally balanced. And once this is past, I can see myself eating essentially the same diet with maybe larger portions and a few treats thrown in. My partner also eats the dinner meals with me as it is good food. They also ENCOURAGE exercise from the get go.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I had to cancel a shipment and change my next delivery due to being ill for over a month with a virus. I then received a message that my order was on the way! I called the customer service number and was on hold for 30 minutes. Then I opted for a call back. Over a hour later I got a call from Nicole who I could barely understand due to her heavy accent. I explained the issue and then I was disconnected. She never called back. I left another message to be called back. No call.

Don’t waste your $ on processed foods that cause health issues

My friends and I tried the Optavia diet. Many of us developed eating disorders. The Optavia fuelings are so expensive and also very processed & unhealthy. The low calorie diet was making me dizzy and disoriented at the gym. I had trouble getting through my workouts. My health coach told me it was my fault and I just needed to follow the diet more strictly. I was starving and loosing over a pound a day. Once I got off the diet, I gained all my weight back and more. I developed unhealthy eating habits. Also, because the Optavia fuelings and prepackaged meals are so processed I developed some immune issues. My hair began falling out and I developed a thyroid issue. I regret ever giving this diet a try. Don’t waste your money. I tried this diet for almost an entire year.

Lost 109lbs in 10 months

Lost 109lbs in 10 months. I’ve been overweight and struggling with my weight my whole life. I Love Optavia. I love my coach, the supportive community and the books. I find people who hate Optavia usually say so because they didn’t do the whole program. They did 1/4th of the program… the food… it’s so much more than about food and weight-loss. It’s about creating a lifestyle that creates health for life. It’s about knowing you are responsible for your life and many people are in victim mode and want to stay there. (I was in victim mode most my life so I understand it’s a hard cycle to break) at the same time I don’t want to discount anyone’s experiences this is mine. <3

I been on program for 16 months

I been on program for 16 months. Not bad program. However they just recently changed the app where before we the customer had total control over our next order. With a simple click on the app you could change what fuelings you got, you could change your next order date like when you would want your order delivered. It was simple and easy.
Now they “updated” the app and you have NO control.
You have to call in and have them make the changes.
Before you had control now they want to take that control away from us, I think they want people to forget about their next order date as it will auto ship to you n they will charge your credit card, before if you still had enough food you could move out your next date.

To call in or chat with someone is NOT convenient as you have to wait.
What used to take 1 minute to do can now take 10-20 minutes depending on how long you wait and it takes away the control out of our hands.
I just cancelled because of this after 16 months.

MLM only interested in getting you to become a coach & buy their sub par products

My 1 star rating is based on the fact that the “coach” /friend on fb that I spoke with about the product seemed to ONLY be interested in selling me on becoming a coach. Initially she seemed to be telling me she could still help with nutrition/exercise even if I didn’t decide to purchase the product or become a coach (maybe I was confused on that). She initially was going to try to get me some great deal just so I could get the shakes but I never heard anything back about that. From the time I expressed interest in talking with her she was kind and friendly and motivating , but every time we spoke it really all revolved only about me becoming a coach. If I expressed any hesitation about coaching she’d back off again & I wouldn’t hear from her till I expressed interest in coaching again. Now I appreciate not being pressed on becoming a coach, but she was also supposed to be “coaching” me and I was getting zero communication about that aspect of the program. I told her I’d be interested in taking a look at the products ingredients and learning more but I was never given any other information about products/ingredients. She did add me to an fb group ignite health & told me some recipes and exercises would be found there. & I attended a zoom meeting on becoming a coach and initially was quite impressed because they were saying how high quality these products and the ingredients were. & the people were quite good motivational speakers. After watching I thought heck yes I want to do this. However after scouring the internet I found a ton of conflicting info about the safety of the program, the “quality ingredients “, & the real MLM behind it all. When I told my coach I was going to back out of being a coach she asked why , I told her about my feelings on the ingredients & she was polite & sent me some articles from the fda saying everything I was concerned about was perfectly safe (like I trust the fda lol). I was fine to agree to disagree. But I didn’t expect that once I expressed no interest in becoming a coach that would be the extent of the “coaching” I got. It really only seemed like she would talk to me if I was expressing wanting to coach. Doing more research …. I thought becoming a coach would mean I was learning something and had a new skill & knowledge I could use elsewhere at some point, but that doesn’t seem to be the case… you get no real certification that anyplace else will find valuable. On another note… the products… are ridiculously overpriced. You can go to the store and get these same types of “fuelings “much cheaper

Great experience so far!

I started this plan 8 months ago, not perfectly following it, especially on weekends and vacations. I am a certified Nutritionist, studying nutrition to lose weight and improve my blood sugars and blood pressure.
On the Optavia plan, I have lost 31 of the 40 pounds I hope to lose. It is super easy to follow, you do indeed lose about 10-12 pounds a month when you follow it, my blood sugars (using my continuous glucose monitor) are great when I follow the plan, my blood pressure is great. I feel great!
I admit that I have not transitioned to the maintenance plan yet, because I have 9 more pounds that I wish to lose. I will be careful when I get there not to regain this weight, or, if necessary, return to this healthy diet plan to maintain my weight.
Over the 30-40 years of trying to lose weight, I had tried everything, even getting an MS degree in nutrition and NOTHING helped me until this plan! I highly recommend it!

Dangerous program mentally and physically!

This program doesn’t even deserve a single star! As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working in the area of Eating Disorders I have seen first hand that this program contributes to disordered eating and eating disorders. Despite what they say it is a multilevel marketing program that preys on desperate customers, enticing them with before and after pictures. Would like to see 1 year post diet? Everyone I have worked with has gained all the weight and more back. This leaves them with feelings of guilt and shame and has pushed them into eating disorders! The coaches are users of the products and they have no expertise in the field of nutrition! They make money and also have to keep up their diet and weight loss so Optavia keeps them hostage too! Really is eating bars filled with (read the label) and only veggies and protein sustainable? No it drives the binge cycle and much more! One of the most harmful diets mentally and physically on a person!
