It really depends on your body and what it needs. I did Jenny Craig and lost more weight on that than Optavia. I lost nothing on Optavia. My body must need real food. If you want to lose weight do what I do. No more diets! I eat really healthy during the week and make sure I take a certain amount of steps daily on my smart watch, but you can also do that on a phone. I eat what I want on weekends and holidays without going overboard and I use portion control and no 2nd helpings. I eat 80% of my plate and sit before I get up because that makes you full. I also drink 64 oz of water daily and swim 20 laps in summer and bike 3 miles when too cold to swim. I have lost over 80 lbs slowly and kept it off. Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, Optavia....they are all diets that may work for some and not for some. My principle and K5 teacher at my school both lost a lot of weight. But when they went back to eating real food, they started gaining their weight back and had to go back on Optavia.

I needed product by a certain date. Octavia sent me an email that my product shipped on Friday Sept 1 2023. I saw no progress on tracking. I called them and chatted with them asking if product has really shipped. They could not tell me. Product did not ship until 5 days after their initial email say product was on the way. As a result, I did not have time to get alternative product to take with me on a trip. Finally talked to a supervisor but he could not explain why I had such poor customer service. They offered 3 small free boxes of product, but that was to little to late to cover major headaches of poor customer care.

Got talked into getting involved with this program by a Facebook friend and major mistake. First box arrived and nothing in the box was anything I would want to eat and what I ate made me sick. Cancelled the next shipment and cancelled my membership. Received a confirmation that I had cancelled and that I would not receive future shipments. Shocked when a large box and several smaller boxes arrived. Called and was told that what I received was shipped by mistake and that return, self-addressed making labels would be sent to me to return all boxes even the first box.

Shocked to be charged $452.15 for the first box - hideously expensive. Charged $781.96 for the second boxes weeks after I cancelled my membership. $329.81 more for the second box! Outrageous!

This company operates more like a predatory company than a legitimate company. Just want 100% of my money refunded and to be permanently removed from their system. Feel scammed by Optavia and will continue sharing my experiences to keep Optavia from finding more victims.

I’m so tired of these products. I’ve been a member for months and there are never any new items. The coaching is Ok but the good needs some serious work. I may come back but I’m cancelling as of now

I returned an order on May5th and their website states that they refund within a few days. It is now May 30 and I cannot get a response. I call and get an out of country call center and they are not allowed to transfer me anywher

I will start with the good. The majority of the food I got was decent and did help me lose some weight.

However, my review is based on the customer support that is a sham.
I had decided to end my time on Optavia, instead choosing to work on the rest of my weight loss journey through exercise and a more broad diet. My auto-renew processed, but same day I cancelled my order. Now orders don't typically ship right away and especially not when order renews in the very early hours of the morning.
I cancelled the order. I got no response. I emailed and was sent to their FAQ with no formal response. Tried calling, and never got a hold of anyone.
With the cancelation happening the same day before they could even put the order together prior to shipping, there should have been absolutely NO ISSUE cancelling the order.
OPTAVIA is greedy and money hungry though. So they seemingly ignored the cancel request and took no consideration of the customer.
If you want friendly and amazing support outsie of your coach (who has no control over shipping department or overall company) don't look for that from OPTAVIA.

I'm sorry that these reviewers had poor experiences! I started the program about 9 weeks ago and have lost 35 pounds. I have had nothing but positive interactions with my coach, and the reading material is outstanding. The food is good and there are many, many choices. My wife and I are doing it together and she is down nearly 28 pounds! The founder of the company understands that you won't stay on it forever, and offers concrete solutions for the future. The material I'm studying is great! Most of it will carry over to life in general, not just food intake. I've enjoyed it very much so far!

Optavia is a terrible company. They sell overpriced meal bars which took them a month to send. They dont answer their phones and it takes over a day to respond. They sent out my first order after a month with no instructions on how to use it, just 2 large books self promoting this guy who is the founder, but no guide. They assigned a "coach" but I have emailed and called her 5 or 6 times and she does not respond, so I have all of this overpriced food and I dont know wat to do and customer service just tells me to pick a coach, but when I log into the site, it says i already have a coach (the one that wont respond)

OPTAVIA is a program that sells expensive snacks ($22 for 7 items). You consume 5 snacks a day then eat a meat and green meal. It could be good and I am sure it has worked for some. They are always out of stock on items and delivery could take up to 3 weeks. Huge supply chain failure and they tell you to order other snacks, and of course, the snacks that are available are gross. Coaches aren't helpful, they just tell you to read a book and drink a lot of water. The customer service is useless.
