Overhype Store Avis 97

I bought a pair of Dior trainers a week ago and was charged £10 for postage but if you look at the Instagram page it says anything over £300 is free. I questioned him and he said I’d be refunded for the £10 since I’ve been delayed…. Never mind the fact I shouldn’t have been charged for it anyway. He is trying to make excuses as to why my shoes haven’t been posted but after reading these reviews I now realise that they aren’t going to be posted. Looks completely legit but once you pay its a whole different ball game. Doubt I’ll get my money back save yourself the hassle and keep your money. 😡

The owner of this store is a huge time waster and has no idea how to run a business professionally.

Payments were not made in full or within the agreed timeline.

If you search online and over social media you'll see that OverHype is a joke and Sam Rattray is a joke.

Scammed for £1211 for a shoe that was counterfeit. Still no response or valid update regarding a refund. Agreed to refund half online and then the second half in person for this. But it’s been months and still no money has been back to me. I still have the counterfeit shoes and have spoken to Trading Standards as well. Don’t buy from here or sell to this person. You will get scammed.

Absolute con man. Read all the reviews. Lies after lies each week. Been owed money for months and looks like I’ll never get it. There’s a new excuse every week as to why he needs it delayed.

Despite a successful order from the small claims court. Overhype have still not settled their payment, 13 months after taking items without paying.

Numerous false promises made regarding payment ranging from bank account issues, too busy paying golf, the death of his mother etc.

Continually gets in touch out of the blue to suggest payment will be made without actually ever making payment.

Latest request is for payment to be spread over 3 payments. Overhype are a bunch of crooks.

Not me personally but watched my son being conned. Excuse after excuse and never followed through on any promises. I would recommend anyone to use small claims court or contact your bank and treat as fraudulent trader. Hit this charlatan where it hurts, in his pocket. Not to be trusted!!

Ordered a pair of £1200 shoes. I was expecting them to turn up in a couple of days as agreed with the seller. They turned up in two weeks after I paid for special delivery with Royal Mail. I’ve got the shoes and they weren’t real. I’ve been chasing the owner for months for this money £1200. Still yet to receive a refund even after I’ve suggested to return them - I’ve been really patient but still not received a valid response. Only excuses in abundance as to why I can’t get the money back. None of this is my fault I just bought the shoes assuming that they were real however I was scammed out of a lot of money unfortunately. As a legit reseller myself, it’s so disappointing to see that store owners are now scamming of resellers within the community. Makes me sick. Avoid at all costs.

The selection of sneakers and streetwear is fantastic. They always have the latest releases and exclusive collaborations. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they provide excellent customer service. A must-visit store for sneaker-heads in Aberdeen.

Would give it a zero if I could. Don’t deal with this little diddy and he’s a scammer and a fraud. Broke into his own store to claim insurance money. Absolute bottom of the barrel conman.

Took a young lads shoes agreed to pay him £90, guess what the excuses have started no money has been sent this guy Sam is a scammer and a thief, he can reply with we have no record of you but we all know he does

Purchased a pair of shoes on the expectation they would be sourced and delivered within a couple weeks. After numerous lies and excuses for 2 months I realised I wasn’t going to get the shoes I had already paid for. Sam constantly makes up excuses as to why he can’t send back your money and even with me going into the store multiple times he would continue to lie saying “he’s locked out his warehouse” or “can’t get into his bank account”. Only when messaging his mates and threatening to expose his horrendous way of conducting his business did I finally receive my cash back after months of trying. This is similar to multiple reviews detailing similar experiences of dealing with Sam and Overhype. AVOID at all costs and don’t risk your money here.

Bought shoes for my boyfriends xmas in November and was told would have them in a couple of weeks. Was constantly told that there was postage issues and then that I wouldn’t receive them for Christmas. Then once i had asked for my money back Sam then began to not reply to my messages and coming up with excuses as to why he couldn’t transfer my money back (£300)! It then took for me to travel an hour to his shop and physically confront him for the money to be transferred into my bank. Even when I did go into the shop Sam ran into the back as soon as he seen I was coming in as he knew exactly what was coming. Luckily I got my money back and sourced the same trainers elsewhere but avoid this business at all costs!
