Two separate but related examples of how bad Royal Mail has become.

I’m writing this on a Friday. My son’s birthday. Both grandparents posted cards, 1st class on Tuesday. One from Norwich one from Coventry. As I’m writing both still not arrived at 4pm on a Friday!?!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

These are just birthday cards but what if they are important NHS appointments, for example. Something very serious could be missed. Truly appalling service.

Privatisation is nothing but a failed corporate experiment. In every sector it fails. The Royal Mail is a failed company. How that wonderful service has become this is a joke. An utter joke.

Hate being lied to.Just watched van drive past at quite a speed and then get message from royal mail to say they could not get anyone at home.Sad to see what was a good company lying to make an excuse for failed delivery. Writing this because few weeks ago they told the same lies.

royal mail is now a joke , if i was buying on auction sites in the past i would always look for a seller who used royal mail , no they are the worst ,evri is better who'd have thought it in the past . Think its time for amazon to take over royal mail

This company is a joke.
Was informed on Thursday 18th June 2026 that my parcel would be delivered that day. Never received my parcel. Friday 18th June 2026, checked royal mail regarding my parcel and now it states running behind. So basically was due my parcel on Thursday and never arrived. And Friday I'm not getting either. What a shite business. So unreliable.

Royal mail are totally useless

Royal mail are totally useless, and blatantly lying.
I got an email from them for a delivery around 1pm, then waited for the delivery from 10AM and until 1:30 PM nothing.
I received an email saying that there was nobody at my address.
I rechecked my cctv from 11am to 1pm and I can confirm that nobody came.
I filed a complain and the fckg guy I got tried to minimize the problem, suggesting that I was not at my address (I asked him to stop joking because I have the movie recorded in camera showing that nobody knocked my door, I even checked at my neighbors to no avail.
Actually given the huge number (97%) of 1 star rate one should never ever rely on this mail company and pay for a private delivery even if it's not free.
I am amazed by the number of stupid employees they hire, one day I spoke with a white British postman who delivered a letter for another address who was unable to read correctly, I heard racist people complain against immigrants but I realise that they are far better educated than most of our national folks.

Royal Mail personel couldn't deliver as he/she/they/it can't access my road. They know to deliver into a box, which is clearly marked there. Instead of delivering to the box, they leave a card - not saying it's at the nearest post office, but they'll attempt the following day. The sheer stupidity of the staff is unbearably visable.

I opened a Parcelforce business account…

I opened a Parcelforce business account with the intention of building a long-term shipping partnership as my company grows.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, not because of the shipment issues, but because of the difficulty in obtaining clear communication and account support.

Over approximately six months I communicated with multiple departments, including Account Management, Customer Services, Executive Complaints, Retention Management and the Escalated Customer Resolution Team. While responses were eventually received, I repeatedly found myself being redirected between teams without receiving clear answers to relatively straightforward questions regarding my account status, support arrangements and future relationship with Parcelforce and Royal Mail.

As a small business, I understand that mistakes happen and that large organisations go through restructuring. What I found most frustrating was the lack of ownership and the absence of a clear point of contact who could provide definitive answers.

The operational issues themselves were manageable. The communication process was not.

After six months of attempting to obtain answers, I ultimately decided to close my account and move my business elsewhere.

The decision was not driven by parcel delays or compensation claims. It was driven by the fact that I was never given a clear explanation of where my business stood following the Royal Mail and Parcelforce integration and as of this date no one has yet clearly explained whether I still had a business account,

I found it particularly disappointing that obtaining a straightforward answer to these questions took six months and communication with multiple departments, yet still left me uncertain about my account status.

My experience may not reflect that of every customer, but I would encourage any small business considering a Parcelforce business account to ensure they fully understand what level of account support they will receive and who will be responsible for managing their relationship going forward.

Royal mail what a joke I had been waiting along time for my delivery due to the fact it had to come via land from Temu. I have lost total faith in this service and let down, I checked there official site and stated my parcel was delivered . How on earth can someone say this lol they are crooks

Booked Royal Mail Special Delivery guaranteed by 1PM next day for a small service.
RM did not pickup at scheduled time.
Absolutely a waste of time, and wish I had a used a courier company.

Royal Mail tracking non-existent

Generally speaking, it would be helpful to be able to track an item before Royal Mail attempt delivery, but no: "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item". Symptomatic of a failing organisation, with service going in the opposite direction as its costs. In recent years, if items haven't gone missing outright, they might as well have done due to the delays...

Took two months for the delivery

Took two months for the parcel to arrive. In this time i tried several times to open a claim as the buyer claimed a refund through paypal. Royal snail site was so annoyingly differcult to start the claims process its like they designed it to be super useless. Kept telling me i had to wait until 7 days past the due date, then after a month told me the time to claim had passed. Now after two months they deliver the parcel to the already refunded buyer. more like Royal fail
was ment to have a parcel delivered today
received and email saying it would be delivered between 09.25am to 1.15pm then received another email with an updated time saying 12.40pm to 18.10
so have had to wait in all day for my parcel to not be delivered
does royal mail actually think and expect its ok to have to wait around all day for a no show we should be allowed to bill these company for time lost
if i could leave no or negative stars i would happily do so

Blatant lies about delivery

Twice a delivery has reported me as not being home.

Friday 12th was home - 3 cars on the drive, I have cameras and no van passed the house an hour either side of whe they said they tried.
Today, 115th, 2 cars on drive, van drove past my house at speed at the time they said I wasn't home. Didn't slowdown let alone enter the property.

Terrible customer service to track a parcel

I posted a passport application to Ireland via my local post office as an 'Internationally tracked large letter' on the 6th of June 2026, on the website track and trace it shows the letter as leaving the UK via HWDC on the 9th and since then I have no idea where it is. The An Post service in Ireland that are expecting the delivery have been expecting it since the 7th of June but no notifications after that!!!
I phoned trying to get some information but I just keep getting transferred to different departments and waiting nearly an hour to get through and then the line goes dead. I'm at a loss on how to actually find out where my documents are ?

Worst service and getting worse!!

Worst service and getting worse!!! I paid 1st class for my letter to be delivered, a week later tracking it, its still at the main sorting office, hasn't moved an inch. Why are we paying so much money for a weak service which isn't getting any better, no difference if its tracked or not, the letter still hangs about or is possibly lost, impossible to speak to anyone that is interested, a guy who spoke to me put me onto another opition, same thing another guy put me on to someone else, why answer a phone call if you can't have an answer for me, where has my letter gone!!!

Waiting on a parcel over £150 says it’s delivered but the picture where they dumped it and the map location is not my location can’t get hold of them for anything trying to claim back now from the seller utter waste of space!!!
