Selling on ebay and posting 2nd class is a nightmare - buyers are complaining to the seller that items have not arrived - sellers are getting blamed for the pi.s poor service by Royal Mail. Something seriously needs doing to resolve the problem. Individuals cannot find a email address to complain about the service. Hopefully someone in a high position on EBAY is better placed to complain to Royal Mail.

I just waited in for a parcel to get a message that Royal Mail tried to deliver they are TOTAL LIARS. No one even rang the bell. They have ruined my day as I waited in specially for it instead of important and pressing things. I cannot wait in again on the off chance they might actually bother to deliver it. The delivery office is miles away and difficult to get to taking over an hour each way and has pathetic opening hours. Great work Royal Mail &thanks for wasting my time for NOTHING,

Royal Mail are an absolute joke, not only are letters being delivered once every 8 weeks, if we are lucky! But also they are failing delivering packages now as well. Items supposedly delivered but have never arrived.

I would give no stars if I could but I had to give one to leave a review. My Mother posted a birthday card on Tuesday 31 March 2026 Second Class. The letter was franked at Royal Mail Manchester 01 April at 20.27. The card arrived 9 days later on 08 April 2026!!

She also posted an Easter Card First Class on Thursday 01 April 2026, which arrived the same day as the other card on 08 April 2026.

Royal Mail was taken over by Daniel Kretinsky in April 2025, the service has dramatically declined ever since. Royal Mail delivery targets have already been reduced to First Class mail within one working day and Second Class mail to within three days. Royal Mail are not meeting either of these delivery targets when both of my Mother`s cards arrived 8-9 days after they were posted. The service is absolutely shocking now!

Royal Mail Parcel Force dumped parcel in a "safe place"-my doorstep. Why not add a sign saying "please steal me"? RM cannot be contacted by phone because if you have the patience to wait 10 minutes they will simply cut you off ( unless you are a business customer, naturally). Royal? As in redundant, useless and corrupt.

Sent important letter to HMRC by 'Special Delivery' by 1pm next day. The item got as far as Wolverhampton (according to the tracking) & never arrived at HMRC. Presumably lost! Tried to claim postage refund/compensation but Royal Mail say claim outwith time (14 days) The usual hiding behind FAQ's & chatbots when trying to speak to anyone. Sent greetings cards containing gift vouchers to relatives which never arrived (lost/stolen?) Agree with other reviewers- don't buy from online if the company is sending your order by Royal Mail. Absolutely disgusting!

I would award 0 stars if it were possible. What has happened to royal mail used to be pretty reliable now it's late or missing parcel delivery, important items of mail being delivered to wrong address or indeed not turning up at all. Absolute shambles. Hang your heads in shame management.

What an absolute shambles Royal Mail really is. I’ve had a parcel out for delivery for three days and I still haven’t received my parcel. The sellers won’t help me Royal Mail are useless and they just keep bothering me off with feeble excuses. Absolutely disgusting. Highly recommend avoiding Royal mail

What a disgusting company. Lied 1st to say property 'inaccessible', second No card left to collect- no delivery attempted, over Easter so have to wait 5 days to see if they are able to deliver it again. Companies PLEASE stop using Royal Mail, if this is the currier I will NOT buy your products.

Absolutely Crap , Two weeks later and I,m still waiting for my Parcel that's showing its still at Coventry sorting depot, This has got to be The worst company in the UK.

Given delivery time slot and date, waited in, never arrived. Finally found te.l number to query but closed for bank holiday. Automated system asked for ref. number to check and came back item still in their system. WHY GIVE ME INCORRECT delivery time ,wasting a day of my life!!

Royal Mail were supposed to deliver today between 11.30- 1.30...its now 8.50pm and still saying it's being delivered today. Absolutely rubbish! Good Friday tomorrow so won't get my parcel until Saturday afternoon at the earliest. Something really needs to be done about this shoddy service just because of the name they get away with being incompetent. Disgraceful.

I stood at my door and watched him pull up, not get out of his van, fiddle with his phone (sending the can’t deliver message) the drive off!!! I then received an email saying ‘it’s been delivered’!!! And…you’ll never guess what happened the very next day…the exact same thing!!!! I hate this

The item that I received would have easily fitted through the letterbox, but oh no, the item was just thrown on the ground outside the house ready for the porch pirates to come and help themselves. Rubbish, unprofessional service. There is no wonder this carrier is rated at 1 star, it should be rated at -5 stars. Useless

I'd love to give zero and it really should be an option as even just a single star gives Royal Mail a modicum of credit that it does not merit. Repeatedly I'm experiencing parcels sent to me by 48 hour tracked service being massively delayed. The tracking information is useless and rarely up to date. The parcel I'm currently awaiting talks about the sender advising RM that the item has been dispatched and I'll get an update once received into the RM system. Surely the act of sending an item involves it being accepted into the RM system 🤷‍♂️ This company is an even bigger joke than Evri now!

Worst app ever told me package was arriving today couldn't access any tracking because the app wouldn't work or even let me log in. Finaly managed to track it and says its still in cardif. So glad i waited in all day. I dread seeing its royal mail delivering my parcel these days. My postie is great though
