Shabby Service

I had two emails from Royal Mail for separate parcels, to be delivered on the same day within the same time frame. One email informed me that they could not deliver one of the parcels as nobody was at home to receive it. There was three people at home at the time they stated delivery was attempted. In the meantime I discovered the second expected parcel left outside my unlocked outside porch door, when I had asked for it to be left inside the secure porch. This is the shabby delivery service that unfortunately I have come to expect from Royal Mail now.

Stolen parcel by their workers

Second Review as I don’t know which of the Royal Mail took my parcel; I sent a backpack-sized parcel in March 2026. It was returned to me because nobody was home, but tracking says "Delivered" when I was not there. There is NO PHOTO PROOF and nobody signed for it. When I asked why, they said "we don't know."
It is obvious the driver stole it.
Inside were 4 phones: iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone XS Max, and a Samsung phone, plus clothes and shoes.
They are offering me only £20 compensation. I DO NOT WANT MONEY! I want my items back exactly as they were. How is £20 going to replace thousands of pounds worth of goods?
This is theft and terrible service. Do not trust them!

I have a great postie he is polite

I have a great postie he is polite, friendly and very helpful. I am very pleased with the service I receive from Royal Mail postie's.
A fantastic service recieved everytime from my postman 💯👍

Delayed Post

I regularly receive no mail for several days running into a couple of weeks and then get a bundle. Today 15/04/20026 I received a bundle and of those which Royal Mail had stamped, most were not stamped by Royal Mail. 2 were dated 14/03/2026 and one was dated 16/03/2026. I think the term "snail mail" is appllcable. This despite having Royal Mail vans in the street delivering parcels on an alomost daily basis.
Clearly this is not acceptable and Royal Mail need to get their house in order or bail out and let someone else have a go.

Kept me waiting all day today

Kept me waiting all day today, to only cancel and said they can’t deliver today. Kept changing time, this resulted in a full wasted day SM798507632GB. Don’t know which is worse Evri or Royal Mail

Tracking fundamentally doesn't work

Tracking fundamentally doesn't work. I never know where my item is, next day delivery always takes 1-2 weeks. This has happened several times recently, but now I'm also now being asked to pay for full postage when I have no idea what the item is; RM unable to tell me what the package is, where it came from, who the sender is?! I've raised a complaint, no doubt it will go nowhere.

Absolutely Pathetic Service

Never buzzed up at all Never get my parcel at expected times since they either Never buzz up or even bother to knock on my front door in the block of flats It's a pathetic good for nothing service.

Theft of Mail

Says my parcel was delivered but it hasn't been. The app wont let me log in to check the delivery signature or address. Last known location was the Carlisle depot, tried calling but left on hold for an hour and then the lines closed.

These clowns are a disgrace.

These clowns are a disgrace. They lied about attempting to deliver yesterday and today they did not leave a card, meaning I can't even arrange to collect it from the office. I'll be lucky to get it four days after the set delivery date. What a bunch of liars, incompetents and outright clowns. Totally unfit for purpose.

Royal Mail - AVOID

Royal Mail used to be the pride of the UK. Fast efficient service which was totally reliable. Our local service was pretty good until this year when items started to go missing, deliveries seemed to be once a week and Royal Mail regularly claiming they have delivered items that they have not, making claiming for missing items difficult. On our most recent delivery we received 3 emails on successive days saying the item will be delivered today, only to receive an update saying that unfortunately it will not be, and the item is now lost. Royal Mail as a business has fallen so low I am surprised its still actually operating. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Royal mail are the worst courier company.
Why companies use Royal Mail I'll never know, I ordered two items from Amazon over the past week both used Royal Mail for delivery, the first non tracked, was, according to Royal Mail was due to arrive between 10.15 and 12.15 I sat at home all day with the parcel arriving after 4pm.
The second a 24 hour tracked parcel was due to be delivered on Sunday, it was despatched by the seller on Friday, tracking on Amazon on Saturday said it was arriving tomorrow, nope, it didn't arrive that day, it was Tuesday when it finally came.
Royal Mail are totally incompetent, these are not my only experiences of problems with them, they are never on-time and there seems to be no consequences for their poor performance, I would never use them and advise others not to.

Why is the website so dysfunctional?

I got an email from ParcelForce saying that they will deliver my item the next day within a 4~hour window, but '*Please be aware any time or date shown is not a guarantee.'
I just wasted a lot of time trying, and failing, to change the delivery option to the local Post Office on their very complicated website. In spite of various windows saying that it is possible to do this, the options don't lead anywhere. The chat is also useless as it only allows 4 questions, none of which direct you to deliver to the Post Office.
This website and delivery organisation seem to be designed to entrap customers into wasting their time for the company's convenience. The Post Office used to be functional until it was privatised.

Dreadful service and only offered half the money paid for the delay

paid £20 to have a parcel sent on a 24hr service within the uk and it took 3 days to arrive. Logged a formal complaint and was informed I would hear back within 30 days. When I did not hear I telephoned Royal Mail and was on the line for 30 mins before getting to speak with someone. Took another six days to get a reply. An apology offered but no explanation about the delay and no indication of when a refund would be paid only that I would receive half the postage cost and not the full amount. I will not be using Royal Mail again and would advise others not to use them either - dreadful service offered

Royal Fail

Delivery "48 hour" was late, card left was illegible, delivery office (for collection) is open 8am-10am. Utterly hopeless - any of the other delivery services would have left my parcel at a local convenience store which are open from early morning to late evening.

Every time a parcel is scheduled to be delivered over the weekend I 100 percent know I am not going to receive it.
At some point during the day there will be a 'you were out' message which is complete rubbish. NO ATTEMPT Made. So sick and tired of this bone idle joke of a company.

After jumping through the many…

After jumping through the many (changing) hoops Royal Mail apply to a delivery they didn’t even use my safe place. Other companies allow live tracking and accept any place you designate as safe. Royal Mail is an expensive dinosaur.

Shame you can’t leave 0 stars. Awful service, post comes every 10 days or so and then stacks arrive. Been waiting on a collection for 2 days and both days apparently it was attempted and no one was in. Both days no one arrived, CCTV and ring camera can verify. Lazy workers and all around TERRIBLE service. Royal Mail needs to be decommissioned.

Worst courier company

Worst courier company. They consistently tell lies about being unable to deliver parcels. I have a business that is open every day an all day. Even then they try to tell me they couldn’t deliver because I wasn’t in.

If I could leave 0 stars I would.
