Peak Pharmacy was founded in 1981 and is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
It has grown via merger and acquisition from a single pharmacy into the business it is today, consisting of over 150 pharmacies and an online pharmacy.
In 2023 we moved to our new purpose-built facility, in Bolsover, housing both our head office and warehouse. The warehouse uses state-of-the-art automation technology and machinery for medicine packing and distribution.

Took care of everything for us
We are off to Kenya on Safari so needed Anti-Malaria medication. I applied for this online with Peak Pharmacy and they did everything for us, they worked out what we needed, how much we needed and gave us a choice of alternatives with the information we needed to get the right medication. It was not expensive as other places and arrived within a few days.

Moving experience
I've just moved to a new area and my new doctor's surgery issued a repeat prescription for me yesterday morning (Tues 10:00a.m., 24/02). On calling into the pharmacy to pick up my prescription this morning after my appointment, 10:00a.m., I was told it wasn't there as "it had been sent to their hub so I should call back after three". After clarifying the time I left. On returning at 3:55p.m., I was told they had only "just received the prescription that afternoon", which wasn't true as during my appointment that morning, the nurse confirmed it had been sent the previous day. Anyway, the pharmacy insisted it wasn't there and I should call back in an hour. I went immediately to the surgery, just around the corner, where the lovely receptionist, after my explaining the situation, gave me some codes and suggested I give them to the pharmacy. The entire excursion took about 10 minutes max. Imagine my surprise on returning to the pharmacy and being presented with the prescription it was going to "take an hour" to fulfil. On each visit to the pharmacy I was seen by the same person who clearly did not remember me from my morning visit or the 'advice' she'd given. You only get one chance to make a first impression. I learned all I needed to know about Peak Pharmacy and I was not at all impressed.
