Founded in 2010, with the aim of creating healthier, more natural, sustainable mints and gum, we have now sold close to 20 million packs worldwide! // BETTER MADE, BETTER FOR YOU: Our mints and gum are sweetened with 100% plant based xylitol to help keep teeth healthy. They are full of actively good, naturally derived ingredients. No chemical nasties or animal derived junk. // 100% PLANT BASED XYLITOL: Yes, that's right, we only use xylitol to make our mints and gum taste nice and sweet. We know that it sounds a bit funny, but it's actually a clever little ingredient that helps keep your teeth healthy by clearing away bacteria and plaque in the mouth. Even better news, it comes from trees and plants. Hooray. // REAL PLANTS NOT CHEMICAL PLANTS: When it comes to the other ingredients in our mints and gum, we like to steer clear of stuff like artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. That's why we use proper British mint and real Sicilian lemons to make them taste so great. Plus we use tomatoes to give our strawberry pastilles their nice pink colour. // SUGAR FREE AND LOW CALORIE: Luckily, the xylitol that we use to replace sugar in our products has 40% fewer calories than sugar itself. This means that in a whole pack of Peppersmith mints there's only 36 calories. Plus, xylitol has a low GI of 7 so is suitable for diabetics too. // NO ASPARTAME. NOT NOW. NOT EVER.: Aspartame. That nasty artificial sweetener that's in lots of diet fizzy drinks. We don't need it to make our mints and gum taste good and neither do you. // BACKED UP BY SCIENCE: Don’t just take our word for it, we’re endorsed by lots of dentists across the UK and the Oral Health Foundation. We are also approved by the European Food Safety Authority who have done lots of studies on xylitol and teeth. // OUR MISSION: We pride ourselves in trying to be a sustainable as possible. Gum change
So I gave up my regular brand and found this one without the aspartame. But unfortunately I won't be in a rush to buy more. Lacking in intensity, any flavour that was there soon vanishes. Expensive to.

Big thanks for your feedback – you are right we are 100% free from aspartame as well as sugar and many other nasties too! We pride ourselves on using British peppermint oil from a little farm in Hampshire, for maximum natural flavour and fresh taste. And because we only use the proper stuff to flavour our mints and gum it can lighten the intensity but still leave your mouth feeling refreshed. Have you tried our Peppermint Mints or Extra Strong Mints? They pack a punch and definitely give you lasting flavour and freshness…. Let us know if you give them a try! 💚

Some minor improvements
Love the mints and the packaging however is a little flimsy sometimes and gets crushed when I put it in my bag so I would like to be able to buy a metal dispenser from you.
Also I can’t place a recurring order for the big boxes which I was disappointed in as it would make my life easier.

Just love these mints!! Minty but not too minty, not bad for teeth - still my favourites. Like that there are now larger boxes as well as the pocket size ones.

Box goes through letterbox
We enjoy Peppersmith mints and buy the mixed flavours selection. These normally arrive in a sturdy cardboard box without additional packaging. The box will go through the letterbox so there's no need to worry about being at home when it's delivered. Box is recyclable so no sugar, no unnecessary packaging, no hassle!
