Absolutely shocking ordered for same day delivery as today is Valentine’s Day wanted to put a smile on my partners face hoping that they would deliver before she finishes work she has now finished work and nothing has been delivered to her I’m embarrassed I’ve emailed them numerous of times I get the same reply message and I’ve called them with wait times is over hour or more now to think if I just got scammed should’ve came here first before ordering through these punks ! 🤦♂️
Good service despite the dodgy websites
I gave them 3 stars because I had a good experience with Petals myself, but also can't really argue with the negative reviews here. It's hard to know how to rate the company because, on the one hand, the anger of all the negative reviews is justifiable: the company uses deceitful websites that masquerade as local companies and, worse, that display photos of products next to the option you select, when it seems that these photos may not match the products that the florists actually deliver! This kind of deceitful advertising is shocking and really ought to be illegal. However... when I read these reviews, panicked that I'd been scammed, and got in touch with Petals (in Australia... I'm in New Zealand), my experience of their customer service was positive. They responded quickly, assured me that they had spoken with the florist and my gift would be delivered in time for Christmas (which other online providers could not do by that stage), offered me the option of a refund or going ahead with the order... and in the end my gift arrived in time and was very much appreciated and enjoyed. They couldn't have done any better than that, in terms of their service to me personally: if the websites were honest (i.e. not set up to look like local companies, and stating clearly that the gifts might differ from the photos, based on what local florists actually offered) I'd have given them 5 stars for what turned out to be great service. Unfortunately, since their marketing presents the service as something rather different from what it is, I sympathise with the angry reviews here and don't feel that I can award them 5 stars despite my positive experience. In a nutshell, my own experience was positive, but the lack of transparency in their advertising doesn't give me confidence to assure other people that theirs will be too. I can at least assure you that it is a real business and not a pure scam, despite the deceptive, scam-like websites... and that their customer service can be responsive and helpful.
Christmas flowers fiasco. ZERO should be an option.
I purchased Christmas flowers and chocolates to be delivered to an address in New Zealand through the Australian Petals network. They offer 3 options for the flowers, i.e. Classic, Deluxe and Premium, and 2 options for the chocolates, i.e. 220g and Premium (no weight).
The flowers were delivered the next working day, but no chocolates. I asked my friend to send a photo of the flowers and delivery card. There was no card or anything to identify which local shop had delivered them. Although the flowers and vase were consistent with those in the website image, the presentation was very poor and clearly not of a professional quality. My friend couldn't get through to the NZ branch and had to contact the network's Australian contact number. I got a refund for the undelivered chocolates but that was the only recompense.
On returning to the website I noticed that the images (flowers & chocolates) that were used were exactly the same for each price option. I could not find any visual or written clarification about what extra value you would get for the additional charges for Deluxe/Premium flowers and Premium chocolates. I didn't pick up on this when I made the purchase
Their Quality Assurance statement indicates that a Photo of the flowers would help with their refund decision making process, however there is not an option provided to do this on the website and emails are 'Do not reply' and do not have a customer services email. The only way to contact them is by telephone.
Amazing flowers 1 day late but worth it

Well is it any wonder this company hasn’t claimed their review. What an absolute rip off.. Ordered a same day delivery on a Monday, but cancelled (within an hour or two) as the recipient was away, Asked to send them to me at an alternative Auckland address (mine). Three days later, Petals claimed numerous attempted deliveries with people refusing to receive the flowers??? Why would my staff refuse to accept a bunch of flowers addressed to the owner of the business?. I call absolute BULLDUST. Poor service, poor effort, dishonesty and then refund 30% less than what I paid for.

The only thing good about this company was their customer service people on the phone were polite and friendly. After ordering from, what I thought was a local company, it turned out to be this sham of a company selling so called quality gift baskets with same day delivery. 1. The delivery was not the same day. I was called to say the basket wouldn’t be delivered the same day even though I’d ordered well before the time specified. I did decide to continue with the order. The lady on the phone was lovely to deal with. 2. I paid $116 plus delivery for a small cardboard box with the value of product worth approximately $40 if that in. I put in a complaint and got offered a 25% refund which I felt was an absolute insult. DO NOT DEAL with this company. Their products are absolutely rubbish and not like they advertise in the pictures. What an embarrassment for my elderly mums birthday.
NEVER USING THIS SERVICE AGAIN
Absolutely horrible flowers which started wilting a day after received. Bought a bright bunch (designer choice) with a nice vase and they sent two horrible bunches of flowers with hardly any nice flowers and mainly greenery. I wrote and asked them about it and all they can say is I got the $145 worth of flowers.

Update: I recently posted a negative review regarding my experience with my order of flowers not being up to an acceptable standard from Petals. Following a complaint with evidential photos, they agreed that the order made up by Albany Flowers was not up to standard and offered a full immediate refund, which I accepted. Well done Petals Network!
Did not deliver as ordered
Ordered flowers for same day delivery. Order placed first things in the morning. Waited until nearly 3pm before telling me they couldn't deliver today so it would be tomorrow. I asked for them to make sure it was morning the next day and was told and no guarantee it would be morning. Very poor. I didn't realise this was a website only and not the company that would be delivering. Use someone else if you don't want to be let down. Try and find the local florist and go direct. Avoid this outfit.
PREMIUM chocolates are empty shells
Order Number 5296.413380. I spent over $200 with Petals Network for flowers and chocolates to be delivered to a friend that needed cheering up. Later, I discovered, that the PREMIUM chocolates I had paid $35 for were, in fact, just hollow thin chocolate shells. I wrote to Petals Network to see if this was an error but I did not get a reply. Apparently, the chocolate fillings are none existent along with Petals Network's customer service department. I had planned to make Petals Network a regular supplier but, after learning of the their "empty gifts" and none existent customer service I will not be buying from them again. Regards Frances

I was so embarrassed at the flowers that were delivered to a family member. They were nothing like the photo that is supplied on the website. The cost horrendously expensive for what was recieved.

I strongly do not recommend purchasing flowers from this company it was a total waste of money and what you receive is not what you ordered online. I ordered flowers for my mother's birthday and it didn't look anything like what I ordered so misleading with their pictures online and will never order from them again. Customer service is useless as well as I sent a picture of what I ordered and a picture of what was received and they don't see anything wrong with it.
