WELTFRIEDEN!
Schade, dass so viele Menschen im nahen Osten ihr Leben verlieren müssen…
Great Time!
Overall, it exceeded my expectation. Ramsey our guide was cool, our two drivers also personable. We loved the Wadi Rum portion and the overnight stay in the standard bedouin accommodations was more than sufficient. The dinner at the camp and the open fire, and setting, all created an out of this world experience. I highly recommend. 2 day 1 night is plenty of time.

Réponse de Petra From Israel
The 2 day trip was great!
The 2 day trip was well worth it! In fact the wadi rum experience was better than the Petra experience in our opinion.
The tour around aquaba was ok. Lots of resorts. The best part of that day was getting to wadi rum.
What an amazing experience
What an amazing experience! Kareem was the most amazing tour guide. It was a perfect day and I highly recommend this tour.
Absolutely fantastic!
Petra&Wadi Rum 2-day tour was absolutely fantastic! The trip was fully organised, the staff tried to complete every unique wishes. Food is amazing, big portion. Beduin camp has a nice atmosphere and their hospitality is breathtaking. This trip made our vacation memorable, I only can recommend for everyone!
Excellent 4-day tour, but can be better
I joined the 4-day tour and this is the first time I joined a multi-day tour. Definitely the right decision.
The Jerash, Mt Nebo, Wadi Rum segment was great. While Petra itself was wonderful, but the tour experience was not. We merged with another group and the confusion began.
Providing those in the 4-day tour with the information on hotel in Petra, the 4th day logistics on morning/evening shuttles, and luggage storage, in advance will improve the experience vastly.
-hotel in Amman... I got a smoking room. Allowing us to choose will be great.
-Do NOT pay $10 for a ride to "Little Petra" (also the pickup point to catch the official shuttle ($5) to go up to the trail to the Monastery) , if offered by the bus company that picked up your luggages.
--> FREE shuttle is including in the tix price at the main entrance. You can then catch the $5 shuttle to the Monastery trail or hike to the Little Petra trail. Just show your ticket.
-the hike from the $5 shuttle drop-off point to the Monastery is no joke and takes ~1 hr (but you don't have to walk up the 800+ steps [just down], and see more (like the Aaron's Tomb mountain, from afar).
Overall, despite the hiccups, the tour allowed me to visit many places, which would be difficult or impossible to do in Jordan. I'd recommend it, especially for those who contemplate winging in on your owns.
Everything went smoothly
Everything went smoothly, the program was exceptional
Two day tour was great
Two day tour was great. Engaged guide and driver on the Jordanian side, services delivered as advertised, and everything worked well. A few areas of improvement: tone of communication by the driver on the Israeli side. People talked a lot about it, and we experienced too that his style was a bit rude. It’s all about perception, and my wife pointed out that perhaps he was just trying to be funny. Second area was the quality of the Martian tents. It was a fun experience, but for the additional price of $240, I would have expected a bit higher standard. Apart from that it was a great experience that fully met our expectations.
Exciting
The versatility of the two-day one night Petra/Red Sea tour was excellent. Our tour guide Nizar, was a world-class story teller of history, culture and embellished entertaining bloviation. Note to Nizar: colorfully language reduces the intellectual presentation of the speaker. Our friends who had previosly taken this tour bragged about Nizar. We had hoped to have him as our tour guide. The night return to Jerusalem from Jordan was unsatisfying. The bus driver angered on coming truck drivers because his highbeam light were not switched to lowbeam. If you miss this tour you will be 😥.
The sights were great, cut the unnecessary stops
The sights were great. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. I was with a great group of strangers. Worth it!
I do think a few stops could definitely be cut to make more time for the sights we paid to see. Too many unnecessary prolonged roadside stops obviously to try and get us to buy things. Please cut those out and take more time at the intended sights. (Could’ve easily left earlier to get more time at Petra)
The guide was entertaining and comical but I would suggest to take his recommendations with a grain of salt and get as much time on your own as possible.
Amazing experience!
This was hands down the highlight of my entire trip! There was great communication prior to departure about what to bring and border/visa details. Pick up in Jerusalem ran a half hour late due to traffic and I had a moment of concern that I was on the right bus because it had a Tourist Israel sign in the window, but I was able to check the driver's list to be sure it was the right bus. Once we arrived in Eilat we were given clear instructions on how the border crossing would work with the added bonus that we could pay the Israeli departure tax via credit card.
Our Jordanian guide, Mithqal, was very friendly and provided lots of background information that helped the experience come alive. Wadi Rum was spectacular - from the scenery to the jeep tour. Our overnight in the Bedouin camp was very comfortable and welcoming. And Petra was everything I could have hoped for. My only regret was not booking the 2 night option so that we had more time.
I would definitely do this tour again!
Breathtaking and incredible…
This was a breathtaking and incredible experience. I booked the 2 day tour but could have stayed longer. The Wadi Rum is spectacular, I felt like I was on another planet - it was beautiful - and the Bedouin experience is so welcoming. And all the Jordanians I met were generous and hospitable.
Petra was an incredible, jaw-dropping, never-to-be-forgotten experience. I don’t have the words to do it justice.
We had a brilliant guide in Methqal who shared fascinating information and history about his country, and made sure we all had an unforgettable time in Jordan.
I would definitely return, and I highly recommend both Methqal and this tour.
It was an amazing experience
It was an amazing experience, aman was super helpful and allowed to customize the trip at our own liking. Fantastic. Thank you for the memories!
Amazing experience, worth the walk, worth the wait.
The guide on crossing the border was very helpful and really made things easy. The guide in Petra, Atnan, was really knowledgeable and friendly, he even made sure that a person that did not understand English could follow the instructions to enjoy the visit. The hotel was amazing, as well as the food, and the ride was long but the buses were very comfortable. The only downside was probably the ride there and back: when picking us up from Jerusalem we waited for almost an hour, and the rides to Jordan and back had way too many stops for our taste, but other than that the experience was amazing. One last tip; if you are trying to REALLY enjoy Petra I definitely recommend the overnight option.
Do the 3Days Tour
The tour was perfectly organised. the guides were friendly and helpful. Wadi Rum was amazing and the camp was better than many hotels. The food was delicious and the sunset a dream.
Petra was worth a 2-day-trip.
the guides gave enough information without being bring. we had enough freetime to walk on our own.
This tour was o once in a lifetime experience i would recommend everybody.
Qarim, the guide, was amazing
Though we fell on a good day, what made the trip was the guide. Qarim was amazing! He explained us in detail the plan, told us things about Jordan, shared with us Jordanian bread, Hobs, organized refreshments and in the end got watermelons for everyone. He always smiled, laughed and everyone was so happy despite the long hike in the hot weather. In Petra he guided us through the relics, kept us in fun suspense until we got to the treasury and helped us with camel rides.
We fell on a good day, there were no cruise ships in Aqaba, so Petra was empty. However, it was Qarim that really made the day. I don't know how to specifically get him as a guide, but we were all glad we got to meet him.
Overall, great day for my daughters and myself.
The tour (one day) was amazing
The tour (one day) was great, the bus picked us up on time at 3am. The Israeli bus driver did not speak English, but that was no problem. I traveled with my son. The first part of the trip to Eilat was long (5 hours), but we were able to get some sleep. The two stops were okay, although the first stop was already after half an hour, and the gas station at the second stop was not clean. But that did not bother us because we took our own food and drinks anyway. The guides at the border crossing were very clear, and all went smooth, but nonetheless it took one hour. We had to pay USD 65 (credit card only) at the Israel side, and 60 USD (cash only) at the Jordan side. This was all according to what we expected, having read the documentation ahead of the journey. After crossing the border the other bus was already waiting for us. The Jordanian guide, Karim, was very kind and informative. He really guided is all day with stories and information. We stopped to have a look at a large rock near the road. We also stopped at a store, from where there was a view on the Petra mountains in the distance. At some point, in a village, Karim bought a stack of flat bread and shared it with us. The bread was delicious. The bus ride in Jordan took about three hours. At the entrance in Petra, when Karim purchased our tickets, one woman had lost the group and we had to wait for a short while. Eventually we started walking into the site, while Karim made sure the woman was found and could join us later. Petra was truly amazing and spectacular. We expected a lot, but we were still overwhelmed. We walked to and through the Siq (the gorge), and stopped at several interesting points where Karim explained about the history. We were able to visit the Treasury, which was the highlight of the trip, and the Theatre, spend some time there, and walk back in time for "lunch" at 4.45pm. We spent about three hours in total at Petra. We were lucky that it was not crowded at all that day. Lunch was a buffet, quite good. Drinks (except water) were not included. The trip back was smooth. Border crossing was faster this time. We had to wait for a few bus passengers on the Israeli side. The bus driver in Israel was in a real hurry. On several occasions he was driving irresponsibly fast, with a few dangerous situations and near accidents as a result. To be honest, we were glad to arrive back in Jerusalem in one piece around midnight.
All in all, it was a very, very long day, with nine plus eight hours of traveling, but for us it was perfect and totally worth the effort, albeit tiresome. Note that there are plenty of golf carts to drive you around in Petra, in case you feel tired or in case you are unable to walk (anymore).
Incredible guide, wonderful 3 days
Achmad was the real star of the show - I couldn't have asked for a better, funnier, or more engaging guide. He had so much information to share, and even though I knew he was dealing with a thousand details, he was kind, thoughtful, and never once looked stressed (hard to manage, even not in 100 degree heat). The accommodations exceeded my expectations, the food provided was great, and Petra itself was majestic. I was glad to have done the three-day tour because it gave me time to get to the monastery the next day (doable, but a REAL stretch if you're just in Petra for one afternoon).
